PRUE Leith is a celebrity chef who is a fan-favourite judge on The Great British Bake Off.
However, the star has stepped back from the celebrity version of the show which kicks off on March 16, 2025.

A culinary legend
Prue Leith has been a judge on The Great British Bake Off since 2017, after taking over from Mary Berry.
She rocketed to national fame as a judge on The Great British Menu, after spending decades in the culinary industry.
Prue is married to retired fashion designer John Playfair and the couple live together in the Cotswolds.
They have two children, Li-Da, who was adopted from Cambodia, and Danny, who is a Conservative MP for Mid Derbyshire.
Prue is known for her colourful and exciting outfits, including a leather-look dress at the Vin + Omi fashion show.
She is also known for her creative recipes, including adding breadcrumbs to roast potatoes and topping toast with tikka masala.
Stepping back from Celebrity Bake Off
Prue revealed that she stepped back from Celebrity Great British Bake Off because she was being left with little time for a break.
Filming runs continuously for both the celebrity version and the regular show from April to August.
The star revealed that she will focus on the main series, handing over the reins of the celebrity series to her long-time friend Caroline Waldegrave.
Caroline is a culinary veteran and owns Leith’s School of Food & Wine after buying it from Prue in the mid-90s.
She is married to ex-Tory MP William Waldegrave and is the author of multiple cookery books.
Prue has given her blessing, saying: “Caroline is perfect! The kindest and most knowledgeable teacher, the bakers will love her.”
