Neville admitted to almost being “in tears” with emotional Newcastle fans as Alexander Isak netted the second after the break.
Eddie Howe’s men were pegged back in the final stages after Federico Chiesa netted late in stoppage time.
But they held on to end seven decades of hurt and win a first domestic trophy since 1955.
Speaking directly to pub owners in the North East, Neville said: “If you’re a publican in Newcastle and you usually close on a Sunday, go and get it open.”
He then predicted there would be a “Geordie Bank Holiday” after “black and white” bedlam at the Home of Football.
Neville added with a laugh: “Try getting that lot into work tomorrow.”
The Magpies had lost five Wembley finals in a row since their last triumph in 1955.
Howe spoke out before the game that he believed the club was not “cursed” and his players could “make history”.

They dominated from the off at Wembley against an out-of-sorts Liverpool, with Dan Burn netting the opener on the stroke of halftime.
Isak doubled the lead just minutes after he’d had a tap-in cruelly ruled out for offside.
Chiesa’s late effort gave the Toon Army time to fear a late Liverpool revival.
But they saw the game out to secure a famous win.
Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes told ITV: ” This is the best day of my life.
“This is my second home. We are making history.
“One day I will leave this club and I want the fans to sing my name like they do Shearer.”
