A POPULAR theme park in a seaside town is set to reopen from “hibernation” this St Patrick’s bank holiday weekend – and fans are saying “welcome back.”

Tramore Amusement and Leisure park in Co Waterford will open up it’s doors again just in time for the seasonal occasion.

Tramore Amusement and Leisure Park, situated in the stunning seaside town of Tramore in Co Waterford has been a family favourite for generations.

The park has been entertaining visitors since the early 1980s and offers a fun-filled experience with a wide range of roller coasters, Ferris wheels and arcade games.

And bosses have taken to Facebook to reveal they are are back open for St Patrick’s bank holiday weekend.

They said: “The Park will reopen from our winter hibernation, this St Patrick’s bank holiday weekend.

“We will open Sunday through to Monday from around
13:00, weather permitting.

“The Park will not be full, but there will be plenty to amuse the wee ones for a couple of hours.”

One of the key highlights of Tramore Park is its roller coasters, known for there thrilling twists and turns.

For those seeking a more laid-back experience, the park also has a carousel that’s perfect for younger kids – and there’s a Ferris wheel that offers beautiful views of the town and bay.

The park also features bumper cars and go-karts that allow visitors to race around the track.

What’s more, there’s an arcade area where players can try their hand at everything from claw machines to video games with prizes up for grabs.


On site, there’s a range of food stalls and kiosks that have everything from ice cream and candy floss to hot food and drinks.

The park’s offer stunning views of Tramore Bay, and is less than 10 kilometres from Waterford City – making it an ideal spot for a day out.

And entry to the park is free, while guests pay per ride.

The park has made major upgrades over the years, with newer attractions like the spinning coaster along with a number of improvements to older rides.

BREATHTAKING BEACH NEARBY

This stunning seaside town is known for its breathtaking beach.

The spot is known for its good quality waves which bring surfers there year-round.

The beach is the perfect spot to relax in nice weather but caution should be taken before opting for a swim as the waters can be choppy.

People have taken to the comment section to share their delight with the reopening.
