This week’s episode of The White Lotus featured lots of sexual tension filled with affairs, secrets revealed, and an odd moment the world will surely be talking about. There was quite a bit to unpack during this hour-long episode, and Mike White had my head spinning. We recap everything that happened in Season 3, Episode 5 of The White Lotus.

Gaitok is freaking out because the gun has gone missing from the security office. However, he watched security footage from the previous night when he saw Timothy on the phone outside his office. Moments later, you see him leaving the office with what looks like the gun.
Piper reveals to her mom and dad that she wants to move to Thailand for a year, meditate, and immerse herself in Buddhism to adapt to the culture. Her dad pushes, saying he thought she was here to visit and study, but Piper reveals she came to find where she would live. They aren’t exactly receptive to the idea.
Victoria is PISSED at the idea of Piper staying in Thailand and believes she is joining a cult. She threatens to meet with the group in the morning to express her frustration with them and says Timothy will come and lay down the law.
The General Manager of The White Lotus, Fabian, informs Belinda that one of the guests (Greg/Gary) has been asking around about her. She knows why he is asking about her and informs Fabian that Greg is wanted for questioning for potentially murdering his wife. Fabian questions her gossiping about the guests and doesn’t want to stir the pot.
Jaclyn, Kate, and Laurie are in town with three guys having a good time. They start taking shots and hit the dance floor. Things quickly get weird when some ladies approach the guys with the group and start making a scene. The party moves to the pool, where we begin to skinny dip.

After everyone goes to bed, Jaclyn gets a text message from someone. A few moments later, we hear a knock at the door, and when she opens the door, it is Valentin, the guy she was trying to get Laurie to sleep with. Upon entering her room, Jaclyn and Valentin begin to have sex.
Rick meets with an old friend named Frank (a shocking cameo by Sam Rockwell). During their meeting, the man slides a bag over to Rick and says, “I hope you don’t have to use it.” This was a strange conversation that culminated with the mystery man saying he turned to Buddhism to save him from his addictions.
The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 5 Ending Explained – What Happened on the Yacht?
The yacht party went from the boat to the streets, where we see Chloe, Chelsea, Saxon, and Lochlan partying it up. Chelsea is missing Rick, but when she calls him and he doesn’t answer, she decides to partake in the drugs and party with everyone. Upon returning to the yacht, we get a montage of the guys telling the girls to kiss, followed by Chloe kissing Saxon, leading to Saxon and Lochlan kissing.
At night, Timothy begins to write what seems to be a suicide letter. He pulls out the gun he stole and puts it to the side of his head, but as he struggles to pull the trigger, his wife interrupts him. Victoria questions what he is doing up and tells him that he needs to come to bed. Timothy takes the gun and puts it away.
