THE Prince and Princess of Wales skipped the Bafta Awards this year to fly on a much-needed holiday following Kate’s cancer treatment.
The couple – along with George, Charlotte and Louis – have been holidaying 4,000 miles away on the A-list Caribbean paradise of Mustique.

The beautiful island – which has played host to the likes of Mick Jagger, Daniel Craig and Kate Moss – has some strict rules in place for royalty and celebs.
Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward told Fabulous: “There is a no-fly zone put in place over the island when royalty or high-end VIPs are staying to ensure no drones hover overhead taking illicit photographs.
“Kate is paranoid about her children’s privacy which narrows down the choice of holiday spots.
“Most of the very expensive villas are set well out of sight from the road and everything is at hand. The beaches are usually deserted – not a sun lounger in sight.
“Out of necessity Kate and Wills have their bodyguards within running distance from them at all times and of course they become friends and help carry things to the beach.”
Ingrid added: “William was anxious to give Kate some of the sunshine she craved after her cancer illness which put her in the shade for almost a year.
“So, Mustique was the obvious choice as they are guaranteed privacy there.”
On previous trips to the island, William and Kate have played tennis, gone snorkelling and scuba diving, and enjoyed cocktails at the five-star Cotton House resort.
Royal fans desperate to see some snaps from their trip will probably be left disappointed.
Mustique is an entirely private island and has its own police force to keep its rockstar and socialite clientele away from prying eyes.
The security on the island is headed up by former Scotland Yard Chief Simon Humphrey and he is said to often be spotted travelling around the island, which is made up of pristine white beaches and crystal clear aquamarine waters.
The website says: “Every island visitor is registered with our security team before arriving on island by land, air or sea, whether staff, local islander or guest to ensure the security team know who is on island at any one time.
Few places remain where one’s home remains unlocked, or in this instance, without doors, and car keys are left in the ignition to avoid being misplaced. This is maintained by our diligent security force, whom you will regularly see circumnavigating the island.”

With its golden sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and top security, it is clear to see why the family chose it for their break.
The Wales family flew to Mustique on February 13, according to the Mail on Sunday, due to it being the kids’ half term holidays from Lambrook School.
Kensington Palace announced William and Kate would not be at the star-studded Bafta Awards red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall.

This follows the family taking a ski trip over the New Year period.
According to the publication, William and Kate flew business class on the same British Airways flight.
And it’s not the first time they have been, with them visiting in 2019 for Prince George’s sixth birthday.

The island, which is part of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, has hosted a number of royal and A-lister holidaymakers over the years.
The 1,400-acre island was the haunt of Princess Margaret back in the day, along with the likes of Mick Jagger, and has been seen over the years as a trendy place to hang out.
A source shared: “It’s about as close as they can come to without going to total wilderness as they did on their honeymoon when they went to an island in the middle of nowhere.

“To go to a place with two bars and a few other people, and not feel totally isolated, Mustique is perfect.”
The Queen and Prince Philip visited in 1966, 1977 and 1985, and David Bowie once owned a villa on the island.
It hasn’t been confirmed where the family are staying, but they previously chose the now-£33,000-a-week Villa Antilles.
Ocean views

The five bedroom luxury holiday pad includes a kids’ room fitted with two bunk beds, a chef, butler, housekeeper and private garden.
Antilles house is fully staffed with chef, butler, housekeeper and gardener.
A pal said in 2019: “As the villa is fully staffed they can also ask for whatever they want, whenever they want.”

Overlooking the ocean, the villa also includes a 18 metre infinity pool and al-fresco dining area to take in the views.
The home was built in 2016 and is owned by property developer Andrew Dunn – a long-time pal of Prince William.
An ad for the villa describes it as “an exceptional new contemporary colonial style villa set in the Endeavour Hills, with a captivating outlook to Bequia and St Vincent beyond”.
Food fit for royalty
The live-in chef also provides a tailored menu to keep guests happy, with the brochure boasting: “The focus is on al fresco dining at Antilles.
With a choice of indoor and outdoor dining locations, and a trained chef, menus can be tailored to suit every taste and preference.”
A sample menu shows prawn ceviche, grilled lobster and slow cooked baby back ribs as the chef’s signature dishes.
Kate Middleton’s ‘golden rule’ with George, Charlotte and Louis

KATE’S key rule for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis is about kindness.
According to HELLO! Online’s Royal Correspondent: “Based on observations of photographs of Princess Diana at the time, and the current Princess of Wales, they are both very affectionate with their children.
“Kate is often seen holding her children’s hands or picking them up for cuddles when they were smaller.
“There are often lots of comforting gestures, such as a pat on the back or stroking their hair. When interacting with other children on her public engagements, Kate often crouches down to their level to engage with them – something that Diana would often do.”
When she’s at the family’s home of Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, despite her royal status, insiders say Kate is just like any other “normal mum”.
A friend explained that behind closed doors, the 42-year-old is “very chilled at home” but definitely not a pushover and will tell the kids off when needed.
They told PEOPLE: “It’s a normal, busy family home with kids running around and knocking things over. There’s no airs and graces.
“She is doing that to help her children be more grounded and keep their reality in check. That’s what really matters to her.”
