FORMER RTE star Bryan Dobson has revealed a surprise song he made in collaboration with Cork rapping sensations Kabin Crew.
The veteran newsman retired last May after a historic 37 years on the air with the national broadcaster.

Since his retirement, Bryan has kept himself busy with smaller projects.
The 65-year-old broadcaster was on the Oliver Callan show on RTE Radio One today, where he updated Oliver on what he’s been up to since exiting the broadcaster.
He spoke briefly about an upcoming project he had been working on, a TV documentary on Ireland’s missionary priests and nuns
However, one project he mentioned caught Oliver’s ears as Bryan revealed he had recently paid a visit to the Kabin Studios in Cork, where the Kabin Crew record their songs.
While there, he recorded a song with two Kabin Crew members, Darren Stewart, also known as MC Tiny, and Aaron Hennessy, who is known as MC Bucky – for his song, Big News.
When asked how this entire thing came together he explained: “So I went along one of the evenings and they were having a lesson for the teenagers and that was followed by the adults.
“Everyone’s sitting around and they’re writing away when I arrived. The teenagers had been given a theme and then to write a rap on that theme.
“So I came in and introduced myself and we started talking about News, they said, ‘How about doing a rap about news?’
“We started playing around with a few ideas, it’s a very collaborative exercise. They did their own raps around news and I worked on my one and out of it came what I think we’re going to hear!”
He added: “It’s much more difficult than it seems, you’re talking to the beat. On the other hand, it’s a great way to express yourself, because you don’t have to be musical you don’t have to have a singing voice.
“If you can talk and you can follow a beat you can rap, and if you have something to say. The essence of rap is about authenticity, it’s who you are.”
RTE debuted the track today on Oliver’s show and shared it to their Instagram for everyone to hear.
Premiering the song, they wrote: “Ladies and Gentlemen, Dobbo. Big News by Bryan Dobson and The Kabin studio.”
Fans flocked to their comment section to express their love for the tune.
Valarie wrote: “That was brilliant.”
Unfortunately fans will be dismayed to learn the track is not currently available to stream on Spotify or Apple Music.
