A NEW feature with Skyscanner will let you find the best destinations to travel to where flight prices have dropped.
Called DROPS, the tool is available only on the app.

The feature, which claims to scour up to 80 billion prices a day, will show which destinations have seen flights that have dropped 20 per cent compared to the last week.
Adding which airport you want to fly from, it will then show the “just-dropped” prices with the biggest savings, which means by at least 20 per cent.
For example, the average savings found when looking at Dubai with DROPs was as much as £417.
Other savings include New Delhi (£379), New York (£287) and Toronto (£220).
For shorter haul travel, we found flight prices when flying from London Gatwick that had dropped massively.
Flights to Montenegro were down £321 to £168 for a three day trip in June.
Or flights to Malaga in May were down to £220 from £403.
One the best days they found for the biggest price drops was Wednesday, where the best savings could be found.
Laura Lindsay, Skycanner’s Travel expert said: “We want to help cost-conscious travellers find and book that all important next trip with ease and confidence.
‘With DROPS they have easy access to incredible deals at their fingertips, where they can be sure they’re getting a good bargain.”
Back in 2023, Skyscanner also launched its ‘savings generator’ tool which reveals both the best time to book flights for each destination.
For example, London to Rome flights were best booked 36 weeks before flying, and the best day to fly for the cheapest option was a Tuesday.
We also review Google Flights, and explain some of the little-known features for saving money on flights.
Another way to save money on flights is to book “error fares”.
The mistake fares posted by airlines can see huge savings, such as flights to LA for just £40.
The only downside is that airlines could cancel them when they realise their mistake.
Research suggests, however, that around 70 per cent of cheap flight bargains are upheld, even after the pricing is corrected.
And a flight attendant has revealed how they find the cheapest flights whenever they travel.
