Rangers fan shows off new tattoo after online promise spotted by Celtic Park goal hero Nico Raskin

NICO RASKIN helped end five years of hurt for Rangers at Celtic Park.

But he left an indefinite mark on one Rangers fan after his Old Firm derby opener.

It’s a goal he won’t be forgetting in a hurry![/caption]

And it’s fair to say it might have hurt a little too!

The cheeky supporter made a pre-match promise – and the Belgian midfielder piled on the pressure when he spotted the message online.

The fan posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday: “If Raskin scores on Sunday and we win, I am getting his name tattooed on my a**e (will post proof afterwards).”

The following day Raskin popped up with an early header to open the scoring and kick-start a Rangers win at Parkhead – their first at the home of their Glasgow rivals in five years.

Amid the celebrations and after-match party, man of the match Raskin spotted the tweet and replied with a pair of eyes and a laughing face emoji.

And the supporter – whose account is named in tribute to the Belgian – knew he couldn’t back down..

He responded: “Nicolas, why did you have to do this to me?”

And other Gers supporters were quick to pile on and insist that the inking went ahead.

One said: “He can’t back down now!”

And he didn’t.

Posting a series of tweets throughout Monday the cheeky fan followed through and went under the needle.

He detailed his journey to the tattoo studio and updated followers keen to hear more: “Away to see if any tattoo shops are doing walk ins today for this daft Raskin tattoo.”

He later posted a photo from inside a tattoo studio at 5.37pm as proof of his promise.

Just over three hours later the deed was done, complete with photos.

And even though he bared his behind for the Belgian, the bashful fan elected to cover up his face as he revealed a tattoo that simply read “Raskin x”.

He captioned the pics “Our Belgian King @n_raskin (someone take my phone off me during old firm weekends man)”.

Fans applauded the commitment and replied: “Well played Sir. A man of your word.

“Can’t wait for your next prediction / bet against yourself at the fitba.”

But the newly-inked fan wasn’t done yet.

He replied: “I’m thinking if we win the Europa League I get the starting 11 on my back,” then followed up with an example of a Dutch fan’s full pitch tattoo.

Later the fan added: “On a real note fair play and many thanks to @wullie__1 for paying for the tattoo, I was skeptical at first but the man offered and pulled though. Big up Rossco at Anubis Tattoo Greenock, follow his Instagram.”
