POINTLESS has attracted officially complaints to the BBC after fans claimed a ‘wrong answer’ was accepted as correct on air.
The hit Beeb quiz show which is presented by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman – has amassed over 2,000 episodes to date.

It sees contestants find correct answers in general knowledge rounds by listing obscure ones first.
The winning duo then go on to compete for Pointless’ cash jackpot prize.
However, it’s now under fire after furious viewers complained about an episode which aired on November 11, 2024.
During the episode – which has been removed from BBC iPlayer – contestants were asked to name a city in the UK without the letter A in its name.
A contestant answered with ‘Derry’ and it was accepted by producers and show host Alexander Armstrong.
It comes despite the UK Government recognising the location near the border between the Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as ‘Londonderry’.
One Pointless viewer lodged an official complaint with the BBC, but the broadcaster has refused to uphold it.
Explaining its decision, the BBC Complaints Unit said: “A viewer complained an inaccurate answer had been accepted by the presenter, leading to one of the contesting couples being unfairly prevented from going through to the next round.
“The ECU considered whether the programme met the requirement for due accuracy set out in the guidelines.
“In the ECU’s view, it was within the discretion of an entertainment programme like Pointless to allow such a reply.”
Last year The Sun revealed how Pointless was commissioned for a brand new series along with a celeb version.
