Now they’re set to reunite, it looks like they may be preparing to return to their dizzying heights with a new performance at Knebworth – topping off their reunion tour with style.

Knebworth House quickly uploaded and deleted a post that suggests they could be preparing to announce a date marking the 30th anniversary of their original concert stint.

The post was a simple shot of the crowd from 1996, alongside the words, “This is History. August 2026.”

Convinced it’s a legitimate posted that has been “leaked” the poster quickly made the rounds online, with some claiming a deal is close to being struck.

The Sun Online has contacted Oasis representatives for further comment.

Oasis Knebworth 1996, a professional documentary and film covering the two-days of Oasis performances at Knebworth Festival, was officially released in 2021.

The show captured Liam and Noel Gallagher, as well as Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and Alan White at the height of their fame, before the inter-group feuding caused the band to collapse.

In September 2024, the band posted on X/Twitter dismissing the idea that they would return to Knebworth.

But Henry Lytton Cobbold, the owner of Knebworth House, seemed un: “They have a history of doing what the people want, and what the people want is Knebworth 2026

“Let’s see how it goes. Every person I’ve met would love to see a 30th anniversary at Knebworth.”

Adding “let’s see what happens”, Cobbold joked: “If Oasis doesn’t come back in 2026, they’ll come back in 2036. It will happen one day, we’re not going anywhere.”

Speaking in the documentary, Noel, 59, now says he struggled to understand the impact of the band at the time, telling cameras: “I was so f***ing arrogant at the time that it didn’t really register. Genuinely.

“It’s only since Supersonic (Oasis’s 2016 documentary) and this film that you try and put yourself back in there and you get goosebumps.

“I’m not sure there are any bands who had that lift-off like we did. We were still in the same circumstances as our audience, almost. It is a snapshot of a band, of its zenith. It is a great moment for the band.

“Morning Glory (Oasis’s second album, in 1995) hadn’t really taken off. We were loaded but we hadn’t really got paid. You know, the f***ing chimps hadn’t turned up and tigers and fur coats.”

He added: “We didn’t feel that overwhelmed. I will see it differently from Liam and all the rest of the guys, but my own part of it, I don’t really remember sing it that much.

“I was more concerned about Sky TV working in the dressing room, to be honest, as it was a new thing. I think it was the FA Cup Final. I was like, ‘F***ing hell. Sky TV. What? In a tent?’”
