Moment Celtic hero Adam Idah stuns team-mates with back heel finish in training

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP action has been put on hold for a week of international football.

Scotland are on the verge of an important victory over Greece, with the second leg of their tie coming on Sunday.

But focus on the Nations League hasn’t stopped fans from keeping an eye on players from their domestic clubs.

And Celtic supporters will love the goal their number nine scored during training for Republic of Ireland.

Adam Idah is one of many Hoops players who left Glasgow this week to play for their countries.

He didn’t make it off the bench for Ireland’s 2-1 victory over Bulgaria during the week.

But he has reminded everyone about his finishing capabilities with his latest repost on Instagram.

The official Ireland account posted a series of training pictures and videos with one including the goal from Idah.

A ball was crossed into the on running forward who turned side on, before meeting the ball with his right heel and finishing into the bottom corner of the net.

And he’ll be hoping to put that practice into good use when his side face Bulgaria in the second leg of their play off on Sunday.

But he faces stiff competition from in form Finn Azaz of Middlesborough and AZ Alkmaar’s Troy Parrott.

Idah has 15 goal involvements for the Hoops but finds himself struggling for minutes.

And with Jota returning to Celtic Park in January, he has usually been occupying the left wing, forcing Daizen Maeda to play the more central role of the front three.

The Japanese forward has arguably been Brendan Rodgers‘ player of the season and has filled the void left by the recently departed Kyogo.

But Idah will be hoping to make his mark with his country that could influence his domestic game time.
