In his second show since becoming a dad, Mark opened up about the experience to co-host Olly Murs saying it was his “biggest achievement.”
“Mate, it’s actually hard to put into words,” Mark said as he got emotional.
“It’s the biggest achievement of my life it’s all I think about but obviously hats go off to my wife she is an absolute super human, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world.”
Mark added: “It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.
“It’s the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.”
Mark also spoke about the first time he got to hold his daughter.
“That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it,” he said.
The radio star also addressed the couple’s decision to focus on their careers before having children after tying the knot in 2015.
“It’s a very special feeling. I can’t really put it into words. We’ve waited a little bit of time, we’ve chased our dreams and our careers and now we’re here. We’ve got a baby,” he said.
The doting dad also revealed he missed his daughter so much, even when he’s only away a few hours for work.
“I am in the studio now I miss her badly now but in a couple hours I will be home to her. I’m about to FaceTime the little one now to see how she is,” he said.
The couple announced the arrival of Palma Elizabeth with a touching photo of her in a lace dress and bonnet.
Michelle and Mark posted on Instagram: “Together we have a new love to share – our little girl.”
The couple have recently spent lots of time loved-up at their property near the Majorcan capital which also played host to their pregnancy photo shoot.
A pal told The Sub: “Palma holds a special place in Michelle and Mark’s hearts. They spent time there when no one knew she was expecting.
“The picture they took of them confirming the pregnancy was taken in Majorca too.“
The Our Girl actress gave birth at London’s Portland Hospital, which the same hospital where Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, and Spice Girl Victoria Beckham also had their babies.
