During the search, gardai found €424,200 worth of cocaine and €123,000 worth of MDMA.

The total estimated street value of the drugs is approximately €547,200, analysis pending.

The male, aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and taken to a Dublin garda station.

The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis and gardai confirmed “investigations are ongoing”.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardai in the DMR West seized over €547,000 in suspected cocaine and MDMA and arrested a man following a search at an address in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 yesterday evening, Friday 21st March 2025.

“As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in West Dublin, local uniform members and plain clothes Gardai executed a search warrant at a residence in Clondalkin at approximately 7:30pm.

“In the course of the search, Gardaí discovered approximately €424,200 cocaine and €123,000 MDMA with a total estimated street value of approximately €547,200 (analysis pending).

“A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene for an offence contrary to Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/84 and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.

“The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis. Investigations are ongoing.”

Separately, a businessman was caught driving €10.6m worth of cocaine for The Family mob.

The lorry was intercepted on the M9 in Kilkenny shortly after 10am on Tuesday, but the cocaine was so well concealed, the lorry had to be driven to Dublin Port where it was X-rayed.

The drugs belonged to the west Dublin mob known as ‘The Family’, who are now the No1 drug traffickers in the country.

The arrested man has been a long time target for the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, who suspect he operated as a major drugs importation facilitator for the country’s top mobs.

Seized drugs from Operation Tara, Ronans town Garda Station.
The estimated street value of the drugs is €547,200
