A LUCKY punter in Dublin is €500,000 richer this Bank Holiday weekend after nabbing the Euromillions top prize.
Marking the ninth top prize winner of the year so far, one National Lottery player managed to match all five numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw.
And the National Lottery has revealed the exact location of where the ticket was purchased.
The Dublin player bought the winning Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw from Tesco Express Kimmage, Kimmage Road, Dublin 6.
The winning numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were 7, 20, 25, 37 and 40.
The National Lottery is now urging all players in the Dublin area to check their tickets carefully.
If you are the lucky winner, you are being asked to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson, said: “A Dublin player has become the latest winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize, winning an incredible €500,000 after matching all 5 numbers in last night’s draw.
“This is Dublin’s 2nd EuroMillions Plus win of 2025, and the 9th EuroMillions Plus win so far this year.
“While there was no winner of last night’s EuroMillions Jackpot, in total over 62,000 players across Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws, including our top prize winner in Dublin.”
It is always advised to sign the back of your ticket if you have won.
Elsewhere, a delighted player in Co Wicklow scooped €500,000 after playing the Lotto almost every week.
She told of how she almost didn’t believe the news when she found out just days ago.
And Lotto bosses have since revealed that the golden ticket was bought at a Lidl location on the Dublin Road, in Bray.
‘I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT’
The delighted winner has already made her way to Lotto HQ in the capital to claim her huge prize.
The delighted woman said: “I play both the Lotto and EuroMillions most weeks, but the most I’ve ever won was €2,000.
“On the night of the draw, I checked the prize breakdown to see if there were any winners locally.
“Initially, I thought I was one of the €5,000 raffle winners until I scanned my ticket, and it said ‘You’ve Won Big’ – I couldn’t believe it.”
