It brought to a close Jeremy, Richard and James’ 22-year TV career together, and left fans gutted in the process.
But now it appears the three men could be set to appear in a new edition of the series, called The Not Very Grand Tour.
Prime Video announced what titles are coming up in the near future, and The Not Very Grand Tour was among them.
It is helmed by director Phil Churchward, who previously worked on Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
It’s slated for release on Friday, April 18 but details of what the programme entails are scarce at the moment.
However, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) revealed it is “a motoring comedy documentary series” which was produced in 2024.
It also states that it features Jeremy, Richard and James, along with being directed by Churchward.
A synopsis for episode one – titled The Glory and The Power – reads: “In this episode, the team celebrate the combustion engine, with a look back at footage from past adventures and test drives.”
It seems some part of the show will feature archive footage which fans can enjoy once again.
Richard, 55, previously said their exit from The Grand Tour didn’t necessarily mean the end of the franchise.
He told Metro.co.uk: “It will be carrying on. The Grand Tour continues. We’re stepping away as the hosts, but Prime will be continuing it.
“So I can’t wait to sit on my own chair and watch somebody else do it. That’s amazing.”
Meanwhile Richard and James, 62, recently reunited for a ‘traumatising’ visit to the Top Gear studios, a decade after they quit the BBC series.
All three hosted the show from 2002 until 2015 when they walked away from the format.
As part of James’ YouTube series called Planet Gin, he and Richard returned to Top Gear‘s former studio in Dunsfold Aerodrome.
The Grand Tour is available on Prime Video.
