“If it was Vince, I would say no”: Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE Fate Wouldn’t Have Happened Under Vince McMahon, but Triple H Is a Different Story

Rumour has it that WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura is set to bid adieu to the promotion, and it would not have been possible if Vince McMahon was still in charge. According to many combat sports fans, Pro Wrestling Torch’s Wade Keller claimed that the match against LA Knight was Nakamura’s final appearance in the WWE.

Things are still cloudy as no one can provide solid support to these claims, with Keller being misquoted by fans. In these times of confusion, American Journalist Dave Meltzer tried to throw light on the situation.

Is Shinskuke Nakamura really going to bid farewell to WWE?

While speaking with Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that he contacted WWE as soon as he heard the rumours of the Japanese wrestling icon’s departure from the WWE.

“When that story first broke, I immediately asked WWE and they immediately got back to me,” Meltzer said. “They did not say what Wade Keller said was false. What they said was false was that Nakamura was leaving.”

Meltzer went on to ask the WWE authorities if Nakamura’s match against Knight was the last time he would step into the squared circle and if the WWE intended to make him sit out the rest of his contract. But sadly, Meltzer didn’t hear back from them.

Meltzer also opened up on whether Nakamura could go back to New Japan Pro wrestling and play a crucial role in former rival Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement run. He also claimed that if Vince McMahon were still in charge of the WWE, this could never have happened.

“I don’t know when his contract is up,” Meltzer said. “Would they allow him to go to New Japan for a one-shot? If it was Vince, I would say no. With these guys, I would say if he wants and pushes hard enough.”

This statement from Meltzer proves how professional Vince McMahon was and how strictly he used to run things in the WWE. Despite the controversies, no one could take away what he did for the promotion and how he was the main man behind WWE’s global success.

Will Shinsuke Nakamura return to Japan and join New Japan Pro-Wrestling?

Interestingly, WWE previously allowed Shinsuke Nakamura to return to Japan and take part in Pro Wrestling NOAH. However, WWE might not allow Nakamura to take part in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

WWE has a close relationship with NOAH, but things are different when it comes to NJPW, as this Japanese promotion is closely associated with WWE’s rival promotion, AEW.

Fans and journalists all over the world are waiting for more updates on the situation, as it is totally uncertain where Nakamura will end up and if he will bid farewell to WWE before his contract ends.
