People couldn’t believe it was the same room[/caption]
In the clip, he said: “We’ve done this for under 50 quid, all of the supplies, everything we have, it’s gonna be a real small toilet transformation.”
He said that he and his partner Zara wanted to give it a little makeover, as it was ‘bland and dull’ compared to the rest of their rented flat.
Luke then took viewers into the tiny toilet room which was painted all white.
While there was nothing wrong with the room, the couple decided to add some character to the space.
The first thing the pair did was paint the top half of the walls black using GoodHome Walls & ceilings in Liberty from B&Q for £12.
Next, they used a grout pen they picked up from Poundland to give the tiles a freshen up before sanding the window ledge and painting it white.
Once all the paint was dry, Luke moved on to switching up the flooring using stick-on vinyl sheets from Dunelm.
The traditional black and white pattern on the sheets pulled the new look of the room together and cost just £16.
“I’m so happy with how this turned out,” he said.
Luke then added some finishing touches to the room including some houseplants and wall art featuring plants to add a pop of colour.
“Welcome to our new little toilet; this is the finished little loo,” he explained.
“Genuinely over the moon with it.”
Luke shared the makeover on his YouTube channel where it went viral with over 90k views.
People were stunned by just how effective the budget transformation was, with many claiming it looked like a different room.
