It’s understood that many were queuing up around the street since 6.30am.

The ticketed event includes a breakfast roll, a pint of bright green ‘Leprechaun Lager’ and live entertainment.

DJs and live musicians will take to the stage, there will also be entertainment from drag queens, ‘Craic’oke’, Irish dancing and some special guests.

Pop group Chasing Abbey are headlining the event.

The line then continues down the street as keen partygoers wait to get in.

And they were all smiles as they waited in the queue.

Many wore Irish sports tops, face paint, giant Guinness hats and shamrock sunglasses.

Revellers are set to keep the party going until the bar shuts at 3am.

Taking place on March 17, the day honours the patron saint of Ireland and has evolved into an international celebration marked by parades, music and drinking.

Last week, a Scottish city was crowned the best place to celebrate St Patrick’s Day outside of Ireland.

According to a recent study, Glasgow has been ranked as the top city outside Ireland, beating other cities in England, Wales, and the rest of Scotland.
