Undoubtedly one of the most recognizable and popular video game characters ever made, Lara Croft was first introduced to the world via Tomb Raider for the PlayStation 1 back in 1996. There have been a number of video games released since, with Lara consistently being depicted as its central protagonist.
This makes her a perfect candidate for a Fortnite collaboration, and Epic Games seems to agree on the same too – with them releasing a special skin of the character, based on her 2000s appearances. Getting your hands on the skin is however, a relatively simple task – more on which can be found discussed in the sections below.
How to unlock Lara Croft (2000s) skin in Fortnite

To unlock the Lara Croft skin (2000s) in Fortnite, you will have to purchase an exclusive Tomb Raider skin using V-Bucks. Keep in mind that there is currently no other way to obtain the skin – you will have to use V-Bucks.
To purchase the skin, head on over to the Item Shop. While here, look for the ‘Lara Croft’ tab, which should contain a banner depicting the bundle for players to purchase. The bundle contains the following items, with their corresponding V-Bucks pricing:
Bundle Item | Amount of V-Bucks required |
---|---|
Lara Croft (2000s) – Outfit and selectable styles | 1500 |
Chirugai – Pickaxe | 800 |
Atlantean Scion – Emote | 400 |
Tomb Raider’s Satchel – Back Bling | 300 |
Croft Legacy – Wrap and Animated | 500 |
The bundle can be purchased for a total discounted price of 2200 V-Bucks, which should net you all of the items available within it – including the 2000s skin. Alternatively, players can also choose to buy just the skin separately – at a price of 1500 V-Bucks.]

This might be favorable for those disinterested in the other cosmetics present within the bundle. However, the bundle is of an overall better value, considering that it includes far more things in it.
Ultimately however, it is up to the player to decide how they wish to proceed with the matter. Either way, readers are recommended to make haste as the skin will undoubtedly be pulled from the Item Shop soon.
As per recent listings, the Lara Croft 2000s skin is set to be removed from Fortnite’s Item Shop at around 8 PM Eastern Time – on March 21, 2025.

While unfortunate, keep in mind that Epic Games usually re-runs these non-exclusive skins from time to time, and as such, players might have a chance to grab her again in the future.
Regardless, it is still recommended to grab the 2000s Lara Croft skin as soon as possible, as re-runs take a while.
