Fortnite has probably had the most skins in any live service game since its launch. But the one skin series that is the most iconic is arguably the Midas skins. First introduced in Chapter 2, Season 2, Midas quickly became an iconic part of the game.

Because of how popular he became, Epic Games has continued to release different versions of Midas. But which one is your favorite? And how many even are there? As of Chapter 6, Season 2, there are a total of eight Midas skins in Fortnite. Let’s take a look at all of them.
All Midas Skins in Fortnite
1. Midas (Original)

The original Midas skin was first released in Chapter 2, Season 2, as part of the Battle Pass. We could unlock him by reaching Level 100, and he came with multiple selectable styles.
His sleek black suit and signature look have made it one of the most iconic Fortnite cosmetics of all time and a fan favorite.
2. Midas Rex

Midas Rex is a heavily armored version of the character who was introduced to us in Chapter 2, Season 4 as part of The Last Laugh bundle. Unlike the original Midas, this version has a full-body metal suit like Genos from One Punch Man and a helmet with a skull design. The Last Laugh Bundle was priced at $29.99.
3. Shadow Midas

Shadow Midas made his debut in Chapter 2, Season 8, bringing a dark and supernatural twist to the golden king. Unlike his predecessors, Shadow Midas does not retain his signature gold touch but instead features a glowing purple aura that gives him a haunting, corrupted appearance.

This was a part of the Fortnitemares theme and it gave us a ghostly version of the character. It was priced at 1,500 V-Bucks.
4. Midsummer Midas

Midsummer Midas is a more relaxed, summer-ready version of the character and fits perfectly with Fortnite’s seasonal summer events. Released in Chapter 2, Season 7, we see this version go away from the formal attire with a focus on swim trunks, sunglasses, and an open shirt. We think it’s a fun departure from Midas’ usual serious look. It was available for 1,600 V-Bucks.
5. Icebound Midas

Part of the Black Ice Legends pack, Icebound Midas was released on December 23, 2021, during Fortnite’s winter-themed event. The icy makeover gives Midas a cool new look, but we think it lacks the signature golden touch effect, which may be a big deal for some of you. The pack was priced at 2,500 V-Bucks, making it a relatively expensive variant.
6. Golden Gear Midas

Golden Gear Midas is one of the more unique versions of the character that was added in Chapter 3, Season 4 as part of the Anime Legends set. Unlike the other versions, this skin features a cel-shaded, anime-style design, making it stand out from the rest. The skin was priced at $19.99 in a bundle that included two other anime-style skins.
7. Ascendant Midas

Ascendant Midas was released in Chapter 5, Season 2, marking the character’s return to Fortnite’s main storyline. This version of Midas has a design inspired by Greek mythology that comes with Spartan armor, a golden laurel crown, and a cape bearing his insignia. It was priced at 2,000 V-Bucks.
8. Outlaw Midas

Outlaw Midas is the most recent Midas skin that has just been added in the ongoing Chapter 6, Season 2. This time, our favorite character has been transformed into a gunslinging cowboy right out of a Clint Eastwood movie, with a western outfit complete with a long coat and a signature hat.
Like the original Midas, this version is currently available in the Battle Pass, meaning it may not be available for purchase in the Item Shop. We’ve had eight distinct versions of Midas now in Fortnite, and it doesn’t look like Epic Games has any plans to retire the character anytime soon.
