“Holy sh* this is fire”: Invincible S3 Inspired My Hero Academia Art Reveals How a Deku War With Multiple Evil Variants Will Look Like

Out of all shonen protagonists, Deku easily qualifies as one of the more righteous ones. The closest Deku got to being evil in My Hero Academia was during his dark arc where he decided to shoulder the burden of the entire world all by himself. That makes it really difficult to picture him as someone evil.

However, it seems like My Hero Academia fans are deploying their talent to help us visualize this unimaginable possibility. A fan has shared their fan of Deku where we see evil variants of him. This art is particularly interesting as it a reference to the nerve-wrecking events of Invincible season 3.

This My Hero Academia fanart is the perfect fuel for some great fan-fictions

The world of My Hero Academia is nested with both good and evil. Despite the challenges he faced, Deku continued to walk down a righteous path. He was a culmination of everything good about the hero world. He never attached his aspirations to fame, power, or money. He always wanted to do good and help people as a pro hero.

He was always kind, and even faced characters like Shigaraki who were victims themselves and eventually turned evil. Similarly, if Deku had made different choices, he could have been the most threatening villain due to his determination. If that possibility sounds interesting, then here’s a Reddit fanart that shows us evil variants of Deku.

This art is a reference to Invincible Season 3. In season 3 of the series, Mark – the protagonist, faced his biggest challenge yet. He was up against evil variants of himself who were brought from alternate universes to destroy Earth. In a way, he was facing the evil in his heart as he could have easily been one of them if he had made different choices.

With the context, this fanart looks even more incredible as it shows how Deku could have easily been someone like Shigaraki or Aizawa. Fans are loving this fanart and are even curious about the evil versions of Deku

All these reactions are understandable as the idea of evil Deku adds an interesting spin to the narrative of My Hero Academia.

The My Hero Academia world with evil Deku(s)

What makes Deku righteous and good is his value system. Many other characters with strong ideals strayed off to a morally gray path like Stain. It would have taken something really devastating for Deku to turn evil. Even though One for All is a great power to have, what makes Deku truly strong is his will to help people.

With the same determination, he could easily destroy the world of My Hero Academia. lf Deku had to face evil variants of himself, he would question what was different for him, whether they had a strong force like All Might to guide them or not. It would be an emotionally interesting turn of events, and hopefully Kohei Horikoshi gets some ideas from this fanart like all of us.

Invincible is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video and My Hero Academia is available on Crunchyroll.
