Gwyneth Paltrow has no hard feelings about Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand.
“I don’t know Meghan and [Prince] Harry,” Paltrow, 52 said in an interview with Vanity Fair published on Tuesday, March 18. “I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.”
Paltrow, who has a home in the same city where the former senior royals reside, joked that maybe one day she should make a neighborly gesture.
“Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie,” she teased.

In addition to living in the same general area, Paltrow and Meghan, 43, share an affinity for lifestyle culture. Paltrow founded her brand Goop in 2008, while Meghan recently joined the wellness world by launching her brand As Ever and her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan.
At the time of Paltrow’s chat with the outlet, she had not seen the trailer for the Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series. Instead of feeling threatened by the competition from Meghan’s new venture, Paltrow encouraged and warmly welcomed her to the lifestyle brand sphere.

“[When] there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them,” she said.
The actress elaborated that she was taught to uplift women in their aspirations rather than tear them down.
“I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” Paltrow explained. “I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
Paltrow still lives by the words of wisdom given to her by her mother Blythe Danner. “Another woman is never your competition. … What is right for you will find you,” she recalled of the quote.
