Yes, this is still a thing. The drama between Grimes and Elon Musk continues, as the singer recently begged the tech billionaire to change the way he parents their three kids, X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2. She doesn’t want them in the spotlight, and he seems to think that’s where they should live.
After Musk paraded their eldest around the Oval Office, and after being criticized on X (formerly Twitter) for the alleged details of her sex life, Grimes made yet another statement.
“I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet,” Grimes wrote, per E News. “I have tried begging the public and my kids’ dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse.”
The 36-year-old then said the state of her children’s now-public lives is “of grave concern” to her and a problem that she tries to solve daily.
“It’s insane to me that there’s no way to deal with this,” she continued. “I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives, but I don’t even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it tbh.”
And why would she? As Musk cements himself in the Trump administration, why would she trust the law to go her way?
And let’s not forget, that when she tried to serve the SpaceX founder with custody papers in Nov. 2023, it sparked an all-out manhunt. After multiple alleged evasions, Grimes reportedly had to hire four people to find and serve the father of 14. The petition was to “establish a parental relationship” between her and her three kids, which is often a necessary step when parents are unmarried.

With his history of evasion, why should Grimes believe any course of legal action with her extremely estranged ex would stick now?
How estranged, you ask? Last month, Grimes contacted Musk via X (which he owns) after he was seemingly ignoring her.
“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis,” Grimes wrote, per Page Six. “I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention. … This is urgent, Elon.”
“ … Our child will suffer life-long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f*cking respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at,” she continued.
Yes, estranged enough that she needs public pressure for him to address a child’s “urgent” medical “crisis.” Estranged enough that she keeps having to beg him to keep their kids out of the spotlight (and out of the White House).
Estranged enough that it’s possible she — like Musk’s eldest daughter Vivian — found out about his 14th child from the internet. Along with the three kids he shares with Grimes, the mogul shares twins Vivian and Griffin, triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, and a late son Nevada, with ex Justine Wilson. He also shares twins Strider and Azure plus kids Arcadia and Seldon with Shivon Zillis. He also reportedly welcomed a baby with Ashley St. Clair.
