GARDAI investigating a fatal crash in Co Galway earlier this month are looking to speak to the driver of a car who stopped at the scene for a number of minutes.
Evan James Kilmartin, 22, died after he was involved in a three-car crash on the R336 in Barna, Co Galway.

Cops have issued an appeal seeking the driver of a car who stopped at the scene of this collision at New Village, Barna, Co Galway at 11:17pm, for a number of minutes.
This driver may have information that could assist this Garda Investigation.
The collision involved three cars and the driver of one of these cars, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Evan, the driver of one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A death notice told how he will be “sadly missed by his heartbroken family.”
Evan leaves behind parents Seamus and Angela, brothers Shane and Seamus Og, sister Cliona, extended family and a large circle of friends.
Gardai said there have been no other injuries following the crash.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this three vehicle road traffic collision to come forward.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at New Village, Bearna (Barna) Galway between 10:45pm and 11:30pm on Sunday 9th March 2025 are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
“Anyone with any information regarding this Fatal Road Traffic Collision is asked to contact Bothar Na Trá (Salthill) Garda station on 091 514720, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
HEARTBREAKING TRIBUTES
Tributes have been paid to Evan, with many remembering him as someone who “lit up every room.”
He was a well-known DJ in Galway who performed regularly at several venues throughout the county.
One friend said: “My deepest condolences to Shane, Julie, Anne, Tara, Shauna and family on the sad passing of Evan.
“Evan lit up every room he walked into and was lovely to be around on his visits to Julie’s office in Limerick.

“He will be missed dearly by you all and by all who knew him. Thinking of you all at this heartbreaking and challenging time.”
Another said: “Our hearts are breaking hearing the sad news.
“Rest in peace my friend, you were a laugh and a gentleman, rest in peace my friend.”
A third added: “May Evan rest in peace. He was an absolute gentleman, always had time for people.
“A popular and talented person who will be missed so much. My sincere condolences to you all, you are in my thoughts.”
