The anime hype is real and it is taking over the world at a rapid pace that no one had expected. From legendary anime projects like One Piece and Bleach to new additions of series like Solo Leveling and Sakamoto Days, the community is growing with each passing day and fans have new series, movies, and seasons to look forward to every month.

And 2025 seems the perfect year for it as the industry has never been as jam-packed as it is this year. There have been many series and movies that have been already making it big, and the year has only started. Plus, considering the lineup for summer, it is safe to assume that the hype is going to grow even more and fans are not ready for it all.
The list contains a lot of big names from the past and also some major new additions that will not only overwhelm anime fans but force them to demand even more. Projects like Demon Slayer, Kaiju No. 8, and Dandadan have already been confirmed and there are still some big names that are yet to be announced.
The biggest names in the summer 2025 anime lineup
The list of the summer 2025 lineup for anime is quite big and the names it carries are even bigger. The first big name on the list is Demon Slayer, as its movie, Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 18, 2025. It will be the first movie from the upcoming trilogy series that will adapt the entire final saga.
Aside from Demon Slayer, the biggest name that is about to be released in July 2025 is none other than Kaiju No. 8. The second season of Kaiju No. 8 has received a July window according to the trailer and fans are already hyped about it. After Kaiju No. 8 comes Dandadan, which is also renewed for a second season that has also been confirmed for a July release.
While these names are certainly big, the most recent hype was created by Yuto Suzuki’s Sakamoto Days which only released the first part of season 1. The second part of season 1 is scheduled to come out in July just like the other big names. Apart from these legends, a new name is also going to join the list called The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity which is set to premiere in July 2025 as well.
2025 is a good year for the anime industry
The summer lineup is not the only hype for the anime industry as the entire year of 2025 has proven itself good for the community. The beginning was marked by globally successful projects like Solo Leveling and Dragon Ball DAIMA, and the spring has additions like One Piece’s Egghead Island arc and Wind Breaker Season 2.

The summer lineup is already decided and the fall will be celebrated with projects like One Punch Man Season 3 and Spy x Family Season 3. Thus, the entire year is contributing to the rise of anime as a community and as an art form. The industry is packed with great projects and looking at the hype around them, it is only going to be better.
Hopefully, the success of the anime industry will help the community become mainstream and get the global recognition that it deserves. In the end, it all depends on the hard work of the creators and producers who are putting their blood, sweat, and tears into making these projects successful.
