First Day Viewership for Daredevil: Born Again Was Reportedly Lower Than the Worst Rated MCU Show of 2024

So… Daredevil: Born Again is here. Fans had been waiting for this show to hit their television screens for quite a few years and finally, the world got their wish on 4th March when the Charlie Cox show aired for the first time in a while.

However, it seems that ever since the release of Daredevil: Born Again, the world has allegedly gone busy. Although the show is the most-streamed show on Disney+, it’s still worse than the worst-rated MCU show of 2024!

Daredevil: Born Again was finally released to the world!

Well, of course, there would be people who would say that Marvel’s Echo was released in 2024 and Born Again was released quite recently in 2025. To give a little context, we are talking about debut viewership here.

Now that that’s settled up, here are some numbers that could probably signal what the world’s mood is going to be in regard to the success and failure of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again.

According to a report by Variety, the 2025 MCU show debuted with a viewership number of 7.5 million viewers during its first five days of release. That is a pretty impressive record on its own, as the show has become the most streamed show of 2025 (so far).

However, comparing this high number with respect to several other factors and contributors might signal a bad day for Charlie Cox, since Marvel’s worst-rated show of 2024 had a better debut than Daredevil: Born Again!

Here’s the rub. There are different ways to count viewership. It could range from counting the total number of viewers to recording the minutes streamed. However, most of them give a pretty accurate result.

According to the stats shared by Variety, Disney+ and Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again had a debut of 136 million minutes on its first day. On the other hand, Marvel’s Echo (which was released in 2024 and stars Alaqua Cox) had a debut of 176 million minutes.

However, Echo was the worst-rated MCU show in 2024 with only a rating of 6/10 on IMDb and an average of 70% on Rotten Tomatoes. On the other hand, Born Again debuted with a strong rating of 8.8/10 on IMDb and an equally high rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Well, it could signify that fans allegedly want something different from the shows and a similar formula might not work in the future. However, only time will tell whether the anticipation and the hype for Daredevil: Born Again was truly worth it or not.
