Fans all have the same complaint as Ireland players left covered in paint during Six Nations Clash with Wales

THE Six Nations clash between Ireland and Wales in Cardiff took an unexpected turn as the visiting players were oddly left covered in black paint.

It came from the sponsor’s logo on the Principality Stadium pitch, and was very visibly on the champion’s away shirt.

But his shirt was barely recognisable as paint smudged over his name due to sponsorship logos painted on the turf in Cardiff

Simon Easterby’s side were forced top wear their second strip today die to new IRB rules.

Historically Ireland were allowed to wear green at the Principality Stadium but under new World Rugby rules they must change tack to assist supporters who are impacted by colour blindness.

And during the highly anticipated showdown, eagle-eyed viewers and players alike began to notice dark smudges appearing on jerseys, arms, and legs as the game progressed.

The culprit was the stadium’s painted advertising logos, which appeared to have been applied without fully drying, causing players to pick up the paint with every dive, tackle, and ruck.

Garry Ringrose’ name was near unreadable as he came off the pitch before his upgraded yellow card in the Cardiff clash.

Fans took to social media as they all had the same complaint with the paint on the turf.

One posted: “Kinda mad that there’s players being covered in black paint from the sponsors logo here.”

Another smartly wrote: “All part of the games.”

While a third penned: “What is this abomination of a jersey design that Ireland are wearing?”

Meanwhile, Wales’ boss Matt Sheratt’s family and friends are apparently “fuming” at him for taking the Wales job as it threatens their plan to watch today’s clash with Ireland downing cut-price pints.

Before he was appointed as Warren Gatland’s successor for the Dragons’ last three Six Nations games, Sherratt agreed to host his brother-in-law’s 50th birthday party at the Arms Park.

As Cardiff coach, Sherratt is charged just £2 a pint.

But while the party-goers are watching the match on TV, the caretaker boss will be next door trying to end Wales’ grim run of 14 defeats in a row.

The party is going ahead, but the boozers are afraid they will have to pay full whack although Sherratt revealed he has a load of vouchers for freebies that he will leave behind the bar.
