Daredevil: Born Again has the fandom split on multiple things. To begin with, some are on board with the death that occurred in the first episode, and others just cannot accept that it is the case. Further, Karen’s early exit from the show also has people miffed, but others are happy that the show is delivering on the stakes that it is creating.

There is one thing that is also bothering a few fans, which has been a mainstay of the Dinsey+ era of Marvel TV shows. Daredevil: Born Again, and other shows in the MCU’s Disney+ roster, all seem to be shot in a distinct manner that makes it feel like a film. The absence of a distinctly home-friendly aspect ratio might be something that takes away from the show’s overall feel and texture.
The obsession with the cinematic aspect ratio is bothering some fans

A slew of fans have made the case for the original aspect ratio that the show had during its Netflix days. While Born Again playing around with the aspect ratio to show Matt’s powers is definitely something that lends to good storytelling, fans are concerned that it does not translate very well to watching something on a home screen.
However, it must be noted that this in no way makes the show unwatchable, or take away from the artistic vision that the show was trying to achieve. The filmmakers and writers that are behind the show have more than a few very competent projects under their belt, so it can be assumed that fans are in for a hell of a ride. With characters like The Punisher on his way to the show as well, Born Again might be headed towards making the MCU great again, at least for the small screen.
Daredevil: Born Again‘s conflict could spill over to other shows

The core conflict of the show very much feels like it is building to something bigger, with Fisk’s campaign against vigilantes possibly causing trouble for the likes of Kamala Khan, Spider-Man, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. It is likely that this is going to have bigger ramifications in the MCU, with New York possibly outlawing vigilantism completely. with only government-sponsored heroes like The Avengers or Thunderbolts getting a say in public affairs and rescue operations.
This could be leveraged by Fisk to keep vigilantes from joining the big leagues, given all the bad press that they would bring with them. Further, given that Fisk knows about Matt’s dual identity, it would make it very difficult for Matt to mount any sort of opposition against Wilson Fisk, without a little outside help.
