As 2025 unfolds, some of Hollywood’s beloved stars have died and are no longer with us, leaving behind legacies after their deaths that will continue to inspire and resonate with fans.
The sports and entertainment communities were each struck with losses on January 16 after the deaths of MLB broadcaster Bob “Mr. Baseball” Uecker and director David Lynch were announced. A month later, it was revealed that Michelle Trachtenberg had died on February 26.
The deaths continued in March when Dolly Parton announced the passing of her husband, Carl Dean Thomas, followed by David Hasselhoff’s ex Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff on March 5. It was a sad day for classic TV fans on March 21 after Little House on the Prairie actress Melissa Gilbert confirmed her costar Jack Lilley’s death with a touching social media tribute.
