I transformed my boring tiny bathroom for just £50 using bargain buys from Dunelm – people can’t believe the difference

A SAVVY MAN has shared how he transformed the bathroom in his rented house for less than £50.

People couldn’t believe it was the same room[/caption]

In the clip, he said: “We’ve done this for under 50 quid, all of the supplies, everything we have, it’s gonna be a real small toilet transformation.”

He said that he and his partner Zara wanted to give it a little makeover, as it was ‘bland and dull’ compared to the rest of their rented flat.

Luke then took viewers into the tiny toilet room which was painted all white.

While there was nothing wrong with the room, the couple decided to add some character to the space.

The first thing the pair did was paint the top half of the walls black using GoodHome Walls & ceilings in Liberty from B&Q for £12.

Next, they used a grout pen they picked up from Poundland to give the tiles a freshen up before sanding the window ledge and painting it white.

Once all the paint was dry, Luke moved on to switching up the flooring using stick-on vinyl sheets from Dunelm.

The traditional black and white pattern on the sheets pulled the new look of the room together and cost just £16.

“I’m so happy with how this turned out,” he said.

Luke then added some finishing touches to the room including some houseplants and wall art featuring plants to add a pop of colour.

“Welcome to our new little toilet; this is the finished little loo,” he explained.

“Genuinely over the moon with it.”

Luke shared the makeover on his YouTube channel where it went viral with over 90k views.

People were stunned by just how effective the budget transformation was, with many claiming it looked like a different room.

She then told how she pays herself a salary and saves the rest.

“I’m paid, and then I have a savings account which I transfer everything else into. I’m saving for a car for when I pass my test, and one day I want to buy my own house.”

Fans all have the same complaint as Ireland players left covered in paint during Six Nations Clash with Wales

THE Six Nations clash between Ireland and Wales in Cardiff took an unexpected turn as the visiting players were oddly left covered in black paint.

It came from the sponsor’s logo on the Principality Stadium pitch, and was very visibly on the champion’s away shirt.

But his shirt was barely recognisable as paint smudged over his name due to sponsorship logos painted on the turf in Cardiff

Simon Easterby’s side were forced top wear their second strip today die to new IRB rules.

Historically Ireland were allowed to wear green at the Principality Stadium but under new World Rugby rules they must change tack to assist supporters who are impacted by colour blindness.

And during the highly anticipated showdown, eagle-eyed viewers and players alike began to notice dark smudges appearing on jerseys, arms, and legs as the game progressed.

The culprit was the stadium’s painted advertising logos, which appeared to have been applied without fully drying, causing players to pick up the paint with every dive, tackle, and ruck.

Garry Ringrose’ name was near unreadable as he came off the pitch before his upgraded yellow card in the Cardiff clash.

Fans took to social media as they all had the same complaint with the paint on the turf.

One posted: “Kinda mad that there’s players being covered in black paint from the sponsors logo here.”

Another smartly wrote: “All part of the games.”

While a third penned: “What is this abomination of a jersey design that Ireland are wearing?”

Meanwhile, Wales’ boss Matt Sheratt’s family and friends are apparently “fuming” at him for taking the Wales job as it threatens their plan to watch today’s clash with Ireland downing cut-price pints.

Before he was appointed as Warren Gatland’s successor for the Dragons’ last three Six Nations games, Sherratt agreed to host his brother-in-law’s 50th birthday party at the Arms Park.

As Cardiff coach, Sherratt is charged just £2 a pint.

But while the party-goers are watching the match on TV, the caretaker boss will be next door trying to end Wales’ grim run of 14 defeats in a row.

The party is going ahead, but the boozers are afraid they will have to pay full whack although Sherratt revealed he has a load of vouchers for freebies that he will leave behind the bar.

‘Could have called me’ – Former world darts champion takes swipe at bosses after being left out of Seniors Championship

KEITH DELLER has hit out at World Seniors Darts after he was left out of the World Championship.

This year’s tournament is taking place at Circus Tavern in Purfleet, Essex.

It is the first time the tournament has happened since the tour’s entry age was lowered from 50 to 45.

As a result, some legendary darts throwers have been pushed out of the running.

Deller, 65, won the BDO world championship in 1983 and was one of the first to star in the World Seniors events.

However, he feels as if he has been overlooked as Vincent van der Voort was forced to withdraw due to medical reasons.

Neil Duff has received a bye into the last 16 of the tournament.

The WSD has insisted that a replacement could not have been brought in as the tournament had already begun.

It was suggested that Deller could have stepped in on social media.

He insisted that his phone was on if he had been wanted.

Tony O’Shea is not overly keen on the new rules[/caption]

Ace Tony O’Shea, 63, has taken issue with the tour’s new entry rules.

After beating Lisa Ashton he told Online Darts: “I think it’s just Martin Adams [who is 68] who is older than me in the field. It’s harder.

“They’ve changed the rules to get more younger players in. 45, for me, is not really a senior.

“Maybe they’ll bring in a ‘super seniors’ for us 60-plus. It might be a level playing field.”

Deller agreed with O’Shea, he wrote: “Tony 100 per cent right may be they will change it with the word seniors not in it.

“If they want 45 and over in to get younger players then fine but may be just change it to something like champions tour.”

O’Shea did continue on his point and admitted that the younger players have added some quality to the tour.

He said: “But some of the lads who’ve come in, it’s great for the seniors tour, it’s great for these games.

“They’re still good enough to win [PDC] ProTour events.

“It’s great to see such great players in the event. The World Seniors is only going to get stronger and stronger.”

Hibs 2 Celtic 1 – Josh Campbell double adds to Hoops’ Munich misery as Maeda equaliser controversially ruled out

MAGNIFICENT in Munich, dismal in Leith.

Yesterday Celtic sank to just a second league defeat of the season only four days after earning Champions League plaudits for a heroic draw against Bayern.

And they deserved every bit of flak for a mediocre performance at Easter Road as much as the praise they got for their brave efforts at the Allianz.

But let’s not take anything away from resurgent Hibs, now 13-games unbeaten.

David Gray’s side had a Josh Campbell double to celebrate for giving them a commanding first half lead before a Daizen Maeda strike provided Celtic hope.

But Brendan Rodgers’ players got what was due them for an especially desperate opening 45 minutes.

It was an epic effort by the Hoops in Germany and, as widely anticipated, Rodgers made changes although some thought there would be more than three.

In came Greg Taylor, Luke McCowan and Adam Idah.

Rodgers had lost twice here during his first spell as Celts boss.

And Hibs counterpart Gray was desperately hoping they could get at the champions right from the off.

He brought back Lewis Miller, Nathan Moriah-Welsh and Kieron Bowie – and he sure got his wish of rattling the visitors early.

Hibs started really well, full of purpose, full of aggressive pressing and solid tackling.

And they stunned Celtic by taking a second minute lead – a goal brilliantly constructed.

It started with a pass from Warren O’Hora in the right-back position deep inside the Hibees’ half.

And it culminated in a terrific Nectar Triantis through ball for Campbell who took the ball in his stride and fired past Kasper Schmeichel from 16-yards.

It was just the midfielder’s first goal for over two months.

But it also encapsulated what he is capable of on a far more regular basis, a perfectly timed run into the box for a clinical finish.

Funnily enough, he’d do it again before the break.

There was no mistaking how up for it Hibs were and soon Warren O’Hora would shoot wide as they pressured Celtic every opportunity.

Then Hoops captain Callum McGregor was caught out by Keiron Bowie – not helped by a challenging ball from Taylor – and the bustling Hibs frontman quickly made space in the box before unleashing a powerful left foot shot forcing a fine Schmeicehl diving save.

Sluggish Celtic finally got their act together in the 11th minute to provide some kind of threat – Daizen Maeda darting in behind Miller for a fine Nicolas Kuhn cross but just failing to connect with an attempted diving header.

Celtic had a spell of huffing and puffing, including a number of corners and a Taylor shot over, but Hibs were the more convincing team.

Maeda had a 22nd minute shot brilliantly blocked by a resolute Hibs defence and then Hibs No1 Jordan Smith did well parrying a close range effort by Alistair Johnston.

Smith also saved a weakly hit Arne Engels free-kick.

But on a firm, lively pitch, it was Hibs who were more assured with their work first half.

Four minutes into added time it was a Martin Boyle cross which caused chaos in the Celts defence and created Hibs’ second goal.

Campbell rose brilliantly and determinedly in-between bodies at close range to get a header down which left Schmeichel rooted and the ball went in off the post.

https://twitter.com/PremSportsTV/status/1893306888227344884

Initial home delirium was quelled by an offside call from ref Steven McLean but it then went to VAR.

And within a few moments studio official Alan Muir ruled the goal should stand.

Suddenly, Celtic were staring at real capital punishment.

Rodgers responded with ruthless half-time changes – hauling off the three players he’d, ironically, brought in to re-fresh his side post-Munich.

https://twitter.com/PremSportsTV/status/1893279367825932795

It was a stark indication of what he thought of their efforts. But, frankly, he could’ve chosen quite a few others at that stage.

Jeffrey Schlupp, Reo Hatate and Jota were given the task of sparking the Hoops.

McGregor shot wide in the opening minutes of the second half, then Jota also fired an effort wide.

But Hibs responded quickly – Schmeichel forced into a reaction save from a point-blank Miller attempt.

There was a VAR check for serious foul play – Rocky Bushiri on Schlupp – but the defender was cleared without much delay.

Celtic were toiling for their much-needed breakthrough when, incredibly, they were GIFTED it in the 68th minute from calamitous defending by Bushiri and Smith.

Jota’s ball into the box was mis-hit by Hatate with the ball flipping up over the defence and coming down between the centre-half and keeper inside the six-yard box.

Incredibly, both stood still – and the alert Maeda raced in to toe-poke the ball behind an embarrassed Smith for his 23rd goal of the season.

Celtic survived what looked a strong Hibs penalty appeal in the 75th minute – with sub Mykola Kuharevich appearing to be bundled over – before darting up the pitch through Jota and suddenly having a chance of their own.

The Portuguese winger’s lung-bursting run took him all the way into Hibs box where he forced his way past a back-tracker, rounded Smith and had a shot cleared off line brilliantly by Bushiri.

Seven minutes from the end of the 90 the Hoops thought they’d levelled through a point-blank Maeda shot and initially whistler McLean gave it, with Hibs furious at what they believed was the ball going out before a Johnston bye-line cross.

VAR colleague Muir promptly checked – and then to Celtic’s dismay backed up Hibs’ belief.

Eight minutes of added time produced frantic Hoops efforts to salvage even a point.

But Hibs stayed strong for the biggest win yet of their legendary manager’s debut campaign in the hot-seat which has been on the rise now for over two months.

  • Hibs XI: Smith, Miller, O’Hora, Rocky, Iredale, N. Cadden, Moriah-Welsh, Triantis, Campbell, Bowie, Boyle. Subs: Bursik, Ekpiteta, Newell, C. Cadden, Obita, Hoilett, Gayle, Molotnikov, Kuharevich.

Menendez brothers reveal true feelings on Ryan Murphy Netflix show Monsters about parents’ murder as trial bid rejected

LYLE and Erik Menendez have revealed their true feelings about Ryan Murphy’s hit Netflix show about them.

“Monsters”, a nine-episode series, chronicles the infamous case of the Menendez brothers, who were convicted for the 1989 shotgun murder of their parents.

The show, called ‘Monsters’, premiered in September last year[/caption]

The show explores their claims of severe childhood abuse, which they argued led them to kill in fear for their lives.

When Monsters first premiered in September last year, Erik fiercely criticized it, calling its depiction of their case “dishonest” and filled with “disheartening slander”.

He accused Murphy of pushing a “horrible narrative” with “vile and appalling character portrayals”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Murphy defended his work, saying: “If you watch the show, I would say 60 to 65 percent of our show… centers around the abuse and what they claim happened to them.”

Now, Lyle says the brothers see the show differently.

Speaking on TMZ’s 2 Angry Men podcast, he admitted they had watched parts of the series and “seen a million clips of it on TV.”

He acknowledged that Monsters “really did actually move a lot of people to understand the childhood trauma that Erik and I suffered, and particularly the horrific stuff that Erik suffered.”

Lyle also praised Nicholas Chavez’s portrayal of himself and  Cooper Koch’s depiction of Erik as “pretty extraordinary”.

“I feel in the end, a lot of people were educated about what can happen even in affluent homes — behind walls and behind hedges, you know, and manicured lawns,” he said.

Lyle went on to say how Murphy’s show ultimately helped bring attention to the impact of abuse.

He told the podcast: “Ryan Murphy did his project and ended up doing that. And so, in that way, I think we are grateful.”

The renewed attention on the Menendez brothers comes as their latest legal bid has been rejected.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman turned down their request for a new trial, saying there was no new, relevant evidence.

However, he has yet to decide on a re-sentencing bid that could lead to the brothers’ release, Sky News reports.

Erik and Lyle, convicted in 1996 for the 1989 shotgun murders of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, claim they acted out of fear due to years of sexual abuse by their father.

Hochman, however, cast doubt on their testimony, stating: “Sexual abuse in this situation may have been a motivation for Erik and Lyle to do what they did, but it does not constitute self-defense.”

The Menendez family condemned the decision as “abhorrent,” arguing it disregarded the trauma the brothers endured.

They stated: “Abuse does not exist in a vacuum. It leaves lasting scars, rewires the brain, and traps victims in cycles of fear and trauma.”

While the trial request has been denied, a March hearing on re-sentencing could still offer the Menendez brothers a path to parole after 35 years behind bars.
