I gave my 12-year-old daughter her own apartment – I never do her laundry but I DO clean it while she’s at school

A WOMAN who built her 12-year-old daughter her own apartment revealed that she often cleans it for her.

While she is encouraging her pre-teen to be independent, the mum-of-three explained that she “enjoys” tidying up the space.

In her viral video, TikTok user Audrey Barton (@organizedchaos4) took her followers along as she straightened up the apartment.

She revealed that she tidies the place “once every two months” while her daughter takes care of the “day-to-day maintenance”.

Audrey explained that the “apartment” is located on the upper floor of the family’s garage.

The build cost the couple around £20,000 and comes complete with a bathroom, kitchenette, and its own heating and cooling system.

While the mum has previously defended her decision to give her daughter such independence, she also shared why she doesn’t mind helping clean the space.

“My daughter does deserve my help, she keeps it clean 80% of the time, I’m just coming in once in a while to help make sure everything is where it’s supposed to be,” Audrey said.

She added that her love language is carrying out acts of service, explaining that she “enjoys” helping out.

The TikToker said that her daughter is “grateful” for her help and said coming home from school to a tidy space is “one of her favourite things”.

And while she is more than happy to help out, the mum revealed that there is one chore she refuses to do for her pre-teen.

Audrey revealed that she never does her 12-year-old daughter’s laundry for her.

“I feel like it’s really important she learns any clothes she wears, she needs to be responsible for,” she explained.

She pointed out that this helps prevent her for “willy nilly throwing things out of her closet”.

Audrey told her audience that this is another way she teaches her child to be independent.

TikTok users shared their thoughts on the set-up in the comments section.

“The [apartment] had some messes with clutter but the space was clean. She’s definitely learning to take care of it well,” wrote one viewer.

Different parenting techniques

Here are some widely recognised methods:

Authoritative Parenting
This technique will often foster independence, self-discipline, and high self-esteem in children.
It is often considered the most effective, this technique is where parents set clear expectations – enforcing rules – whilst also showing warmth and support.

Authoritarian Parenting
This is opposite to authoritative parenting, as it is where the parent sets high demands but is low on responsiveness.
It involves ensuring the child is obedient and often employ punitive measures. While this can lead to disciplined behaviour, it may also result in lower self-esteem and social skills in children.

Permissive Parenting
Permissive parents tend to be indulgent and lenient, often taking on a role more akin to a friend than an authority figure. They are highly responsive but lack demandingness, granting children a lot of freedom. This method can nurture creativity and a free-spirited nature but may also result in poor self-regulation and difficulties with authority.

Uninvolved Parenting
Uninvolved or neglectful parenting is marked by low responsiveness and low demands. Parents in this category offer minimal guidance, nurturing, or attention. This often leaves children feeling neglected, which can have significant negative effects on their emotional and social development.

Helicopter Parenting
Helicopter parents are extremely involved and overprotective, frequently micromanaging their children’s lives. Although their goal is to protect and support, this approach can hinder a child’s ability to develop independence and problem-solving skills.

Free-Range Parenting
Free-range parenting encourages children to explore and learn from their surroundings with minimal parental interference. This method promotes independence and resilience but requires a safe and supportive environment to be successful.

Attachment Parenting
According to Marriage.com, Attachment parenting focuses on physical closeness and emotional bonding, often through practices such as co-sleeping and baby-wearing. This approach aims to create secure attachments and emotional well-being, but demands significant time and emotional commitment from parents.
Each of these parenting techniques has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. The key is to find a balanced approach that aligns with the family’s values and meets the child’s needs for a healthy, happy upbringing.

“Her room is so well kept,” agreed another impressed follower.

“That’s amazing. And you can tell she cleans,” commented a third person.

“As a child growing up in a family who did no cleaning, well done for teaching those life skills whilst still having her back,” said another TikTok user.

“As someone whose mother did everything for her and had to do her first load of laundry at 28, you’re blessing her!” wrote one commenter.

“You can tell she actually cleans. I’m an adult and my space is messier than that. You’re doing great!!” said another viewer.

Inside the raciest sex-fessions of celeb cougars – from Heidi Klum’s ‘sex closet’ to Madonna’s ‘small d***s’ admission

WE’RE only two months in and 2025 is already shaping up to be the year of the cougar.

Cher, 78, was spotted laying the PDA on thick with her toyboy, 38, only a few nights ago, and we might hear even more about Kris Jenner’s, 69, sexcapades with the new series of The Kardashians underway.

Of course, some cougars are bound to experience heartbreak from their younger beaus, like Corrie’s Kym Marsh, 48, who has split from her “soulmate” Samuel Thomas, 29.

But on the whole, 2025 is looking like a year of famous cougars further expelling taboos and embracing their sexuality.

Officially, cougars are wild cats. But informally, the name is used to describe an older woman who is romantically or sexually interested in younger men.

The term gained widespread recognition in the early Noughties, thanks to its use in television, films and the press.

Fast forward to today, names like Madonna, Joan Collins, Kris Jenner, Heidi Klum and Cher might spring to mind when you think of cougars.

And it just so happens that these older women have not only embraced having toyboys, but even been open about their sexcapades with younger men.

Fabulous takes a look at the sex confessions of showbiz’s best known cougars…

Madonna & Akeem Morris – 38-year age gap

Hitmaker Madonna, 66, is rumoured to have struck up a relationship with her footballer toyboy Akeem Morris, 28, in July last year.

However, they were first photographed together in 2022 when he modeled in a photoshoot with her for Paper Magazine – including a steamy shot with his hand over her chest.

Madonna doesn’t hold back on admissions about her sexual appetite… or how well endowed her toyboys are.

During a 2020 show at the London Palladium, she said to her audience: “What do you call a man with a small penis? The answer is, I wouldn’t f***ing know. I’ve never been with a guy with a small d**k.”

She’s also a big fan of self-pleasure, even admitting in a 2021 documentary about her life: “I always masturbate, I’m known for it.”

In the same documentary, she said that she likes men to “f**k me then get out”.

Akeem isn’t Madonna’s first younger man. In 1991, she dated rapper Vanilla Ice, who was nine years her junior, for eight months. She was also married to film director Guy Ritchie, who was 10 years her junior, in the early Noughties.

The Material Girl singer also dated dancer and choreographer Ahlamalik Williams, who was 36 years her junior, between June 2019 and April 2022.

Cher & Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards – 40-year age gap

Cher has described herself as “fabulous” in the sack, and assures that her young boyfriend agrees[/caption]

After meeting briefly in Paris during Fashion Week in 2022, a mutual friend gave Cher’s, 78, number to her now-boyfriend, Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, 38.

AE might be 40 years younger than the Believe singer, but the pair have gone from strength-to-strength, even amid split rumours.

At the SNL50 party, the pair were seen packing on the PDA, with Cher nuzzling into her beaming toyboy.

AE is a music executive currently posted at Sony Music Publishing, the record label that represents Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Charli XCX and even owns some songs by Cher.

The songstress previously took to X (formerly Twitter) to share nearly-nude photos of AE and told fans that they “kiss like teenagers”.

She also described herself as “fabulous” in the sack.

After being asked whether men “expect fabulous sex” from her in a November 2024 interview, she replied: “Yes, and they get it. You can tell by the reaction.”

“We can talk music. We can talk about everything. He’s got a great sense of humor, he’s got the cutest son in the world, ever,” she said of AE in the same interview. “We just get each other.”

Kris Jenner & Corey Gamble – 25-year age gap

Kris Jenner, 69, has embraced her sexuality as she’s gotten older, often showcasing it on her various reality shows.

In a 2020 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she candidly told Khloé and Kendall about “being up all night” with her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, 44, admitting she couldn’t “stop thinking about sex.”

She and Corey even had sex in daughter Kylie’s office, where Kris asked the film crew to leave, claiming she needed a “10-minute break” in the locked room.

Cameras also captured them engaging in role play at a Beverly Hills hotel, where Kris was seen in a red wig, silk robe, lace lingerie and thigh-high leather stiletto boots.

The couple first met in Ibiza in August 2014 at mutual friend Riccardo Tisci’s 40th birthday party.

Their relationship began soon after Kris’ divorce from Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn) after 22 years of marriage, raising concerns among her six children—especially due to the age gap.

However, on an episode of The Kardashians last year, Kris set the record straight on her 10-year relationship.

She said: “I used to say to Corey all the time when I first started dating him, like, ‘Why do you want to date somebody older than you?’ I didn’t get the age gap, and then he taught me that age is just a number.”

Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz – 16-year age gap

Supermodel Heidi Klum, 51, is married to guitarist Tom Kaulitz, 35, after meeting in 2018.

She quickly fell in love with her toyboy and secretly tied the knot in February 2019.

“My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it,” she said at the time.

“That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it.”

The mum-of-four has a dedicated “sex closet” with outfits, vibrators and toys organised by “one mood”, which her daughter accidentally stumbled upon once.

She shared her raciest confessions on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, admitting that she likes to have sex with her younger husband “for hours”.

Opening up about collecting sex toys while on holiday in Japan, she said: “I bought gigantic things and I was thinking, if anyone stops me and my suitcase and looks at what’s in this thing…oh my God.”

When asked to use only three words to describe her sex life, she beamed: “Endless, hot [and] wild.”

Joan Collins & Percy Gibson – 32-year age gap

Dame Joan Collins has been candid about the importance of sex in her age gap marriage with Percy Gibson[/caption]

Dame Joan Collins, 91, has previously credited her youthful appearance to one thing – plenty of sex.

And she’s even assigned her husband Percy Gibson, 59, with a domineering nickname in the sack.

The pair, who have a 32 year age gap, met while Joan was performing in a play that Percy was directing in 2000 and tied the knot two years later, making him her fifth husband

“I call him Perfect Percy, which he hates, and sometimes Big Dog – which he loves,” she reportedly said in a speech at their wedding.

Joan has candidly confessed the “importance of sex” in both her relationship and life on multiple occasions.

“Let’s not forget the importance of sex when it comes to looking and feeling good,” she wrote in her 2011 book, The World According to Joan

“It is every adult’s prerogative to enjoy sex (although young people may not agree).”

And she even confessed on Loose Women that the three most important things about her marriage are “sex, sex, sex”.

‘It’s a vital liquid’ – Drivers must keep 60p essential in their boot to boost their heating as temperatures plummet

DRIVERS have been urged to nab a cheap essential that can help make their car stay warmer as temperatures plummet.

Best of all, the little-known solution can cost as little as 60p.

Antifreeze has been lauded as a cheap and easy way to keep your motor warm[/caption]

As the cold snap continues to bite, motorists are keen to keep their car’s interiors as toasty as possible.

Car experts at the AA have explained why the costly item is so essential for drivers.

Antifreeze is a glycol-based liquid that drivers can easily add to their vehicle’s cooling system.

It stops the water from freezing under normal cold weather conditions.

Antifreeze also includes various additives that provide additional benefits, such as corrosion inhibition, pH balancing, and anti-foaming properties.

As well as lowering the freezing point, antifreeze also raises the boiling point of engine coolant.

Better still, it can be found for a relatively low price – with some products coming in as low as 60p – and we were able to find K2 Kuler Radiator Coolant Antifreeze for the low price of £1.44 for a 1-litre bottle.

Making sure your car’s antifreeze levels are topped up can even help improve fuel economy, by helping your car run at an optimal temperature.

To top up a car engine’s coolant, it’s simply a case of opening the reservoir cap – be careful the engine is not too hot and make sure to use a cloth wrapped around the cap to open it – and add it to the fluid level.

“Modern car cooling systems are smaller, with higher operating temperatures and pressures than in the past,” the experts said.

“That means it’s especially important to use the correct additive.

“If you don’t use antifreeze, your car’s engine and other components could suffer serious damage if the water freezes or overheats.

“Water expands as it freezes, which can split radiators, pipes and water pumps or even break engine casings.

“This vital liquid helps your engine in other ways too.

“It prevents scale building up and protects against corrosion, helping to keep your car’s cooling system healthy.

“If you don’t know what type of antifreeze is in your vehicle, it’s not easy to identify it without sophisticated tests.

“The colour of the antifreeze isn’t proof of the type or quality of product that was used.

“If you’re worried you’ve used the wrong type of antifreeze, it’s best to take it to a professional mechanic who’ll drain and flush the system.

“Antifreeze is a hazardous substance, so you should never attempt this yourself.

“Once it’s empty, it can be refilled with the recommended type of antifreeze at the correct dilution level.”

What’s the difference between antifreeze and coolant?

Antifreeze and coolant are similar, but not exactly the same.

Antifreeze is a concentrated product, normally based on glycol and containing inhibitors.

Some types of antifreeze are required to be diluted with water at a suitable concentration before you use it.

Once the antifreeze is diluted with water – usually 50/50 – it becomes coolant.

I’m the Queen of Aesthetics – people think a popular treatment saves wrinkly under-eyes but it leaves you with ‘slugs’

A BEAUTY pro has revealed the popular treatment she would never recommend.

So if you’ve got wrinkly under-eyes and are considering tweakments, you’ve come to the right place and will need to listen up and take notes.

Even Kylie Jenner is reported to have had tear trough filler, but Sophia wouldn’t recommended it[/caption]

On a recent podcast, this beauty pro shared what she would recommend instead
instagram/sophiabaileyaesthetics

According to Sophia Bailey, who has been described as the ‘Queen of Aesthetics’, tear trough filler – a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that injects hyaluronic acid into the under-eye area to reduce the appearance of dark circles, hollows, and wrinkles – is not the answer.

Revealing all on a recent episode of the Nip, Tuck, Not Giving A… podcast, Sophia was met with hosts Ashley Stobart and Lauren Harris, where she got candid on why she wouldn’t recommend tear trough filler.

When it comes to battling “hollowness, wrinkles and dryness”, Sophia revealed why tear trough filler is not the solution, as she explained: “So tear trough filler basically, there’s not many fillers that are licensed to use under the eye.

“My personal opinion, if I was to use any, it would be Restylane.

“Restylane has light-reflecting pigments in it, now that’s all well and good, however, filler is hydrophilic which means it holds its own weight in water.”

Sophia recognised that whilst many beauty fans think they will be left with smooth under-eyes after tear trough filler, in fact, it can cause ‘blue slugs’.

She continued: “People get tear trough and come back four months later with blue slugs under their eyes.

“They get split bags, or they go heavy – Jennifer Aniston had them recently.”

Tear trough filler is a procedure loved by many celebs, including Geordie Shore’s Sophie Kasaei, Love Island’s Grace Jackson and reality TV star Kylie Jenner.

But whilst many celebrities swear by it, the popular procedure, which can last from six to 18 months, has been associated with side effects such as bruising, swelling and bumps under the eyes.

The beauty whizz also claimed that whilst some customers are “suitable” for the procedure, it’s important that people “find someone who specialises in it”.

According to this professional, choosing the right practitioner is essential, and beauty fans should opt for someone who does tear trough filler “day in and day out”.

It’s a very thin area of skin and it can cause a Tyndall effect where it looks blue

Sophia Bailey

As well as this, Sophia recognised: “A lot of people who obsess over their undereye, they have a high expectation that filler is going to get rid of it.

“It’s a very thin area of skin and it can cause a Tyndall effect where it looks blue.

“In my experience, whenever I’ve done it, my clients are never 100 per cent happy – and that’s a no from me.

“It’s not for me, I’m not messing around with that.”

Top beauty trends for 2025

Hayley Walker, Beauty Expert at Justmylook spoke exclusively to Fabulous about the big beauty trends for 2025.

Haircare

2025 will focus on skin repairing and texture-enhancing treatments.

Skincare

Rejuran treatment, a celebrity-endorsed procedure, will see a rise in demand this year as many seek to enhance the skin’s appearance. The procedure entails injecting polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA to enhance skin texture and elasticity. “Rejuvenation is expected to dominate 2025 skincare trends as many seek to a achieve flawless, youthful complexion.

Skincare routines will also include back-to-basic products for a simplified routine.

Ginseng cleansing oil and panthenol cream are among the trending products for 2025. The cleansing oil is excellent for dissolving makeup and impurities without clogging pores and is enriched with nourishing properties to leave the skin feeling and looking refreshed and radiant.

Makeup

Makeup trends will follow suit to achieve youthful and radiant looks. Under-eye brighteners will be sought-after products for delivering coverage while enhancing natural radiance. This beauty tool will complement natural beauty while improving and brightening dull skin.

Makeup looks will be bigger and bolder in 2025 with cluster lashes expected to surge this year. These lashes bring the glam to glamorous looks as they deliver dramatic volume to enhance everyday or special occasion looks.

Peel-off lip stains circulated the beauty industry in 2024 and are expected to dominate in 2025. The growing popularity of this product is due to its ability to provide long-lasting, transfer-proof colour to lips, enhancing a natural aesthetic. Additionally, cherry-coded aesthetics are expected to be everywhere this year as the deep, rich hue can be achieved using peel-off lip stains or bold lip looks for a dramatic effect.

Nails

2025 will be another year of countless, show-stopping nail trends. Goddess Nails and Aura Nails deserve an honourable mention as these designs channel an ethereal, celestial aesthetic for bold, self-expressing nails.

Instead of tear trough, Sophia acknowledged: “I do love Polynucleotides under the eyes, those are incredible. It’s salmon DNA, it’s derived actually from trout.

“You can do all these things to your skin – you can work on the muscle with Botox, you can have filler which fills, restores and plumps, and then you’ve got skin boosters and Polynucleotides.”

Not only this, but rather than aesthetics treatments, Sophia revealed the free hack that could help to reduce the appearance of under-eye wrinkles.

She simply questioned: “Look at your diet, are you drinking loads of water?”

How to reverse ageing in just 2 weeks, according to royal go-to nutritionist

LONDON -based Gabriela Peacock, who has helped the likes of Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie prepare for their weddings.

She told Fabulous: “The science is evident that we all have the power to make simple life changing alterations to better our future selves – no matter what genetic hand we might have been dealt with.

“The reality is, we all sometimes indulge in unhealthy eating habits like processed foods, smoking cigarettes, drinking too much alcohol, inhaling city pollutants, and even drinking water from plastic bottles – none of this is good for us.

“All this does is promote the ageing process, but we all have the potential to change this.”

It may be hard, but try to keep away from sugary carbohydrates, because they feed chronic inflammation, which is one of the worst enemies of reversing ageing.

Now only will you end up putting on weight if you consume them regularly, but your energy and hormonal levels will be affected and this will influence how you look and feel.

Whatever your age or state of health, it’s never too late to reverse how quickly you are ageing and embrace the energy and vigour of a younger you.

Antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C, and E, are essential in neutralising free radicals—the culprits behind premature ageing.

Integrating a spectrum of colourful fruits and vegetables into your diet provides a potent source of antioxidants.

Omega-3 fatty acids, abundant in fatty fish like salmon and flaxseeds, are vital for maintaining skin elasticity and hydration.

Omega-3s act as nourishment for your skin, locking in moisture and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.

Collagen, a structural protein dwindling with age, can be replenished through collagen-rich foods like bone broth and lean protein sources.

How Meghan Markle has spent £130K updating her Diana engagement ring THREE times – and the meaning behind each change

AS Meghan Markle prepares for her Netflix of With Love, Meghan, her engagement ring continues to captivate audiences with its evolving design.

The ring, which has undergone three significant transformations since its debut in 2017, and each change has come at a pivotal time.

The ring was originally worth an estimated £120,000 and features two diamonds from Princess Diana‘s collection and a central stone from Botswana.

Now it is worth a staggering £250,000 thanks to Meghan’s modifications.

Neil Dutta, Managing Director of engagement ring specialists Angelic Diamonds, told Fabulous: “These changes in Meghan’s ring are a beautiful reflection of her personal growth and evolving style.

“From the classic royal engagement ring to the modern, personalised piece it is today, each transformation tells a chapter of Meghan and Harry’s story.

“As Meghan steps into her new role with the upcoming Netflix series, her ring continues to be a sparkling symbol of her journey – past, present, and future.”

Here we look at the fascinating transformations of this iconic piece of jewellery – revealing the changes she’s made and what they could symbolise in her journey from actress to royal to global media personality…

With Love, Meghan – (2025)

Change: Emerald cut

The most recent iteration of Meghan’s engagement ring glimpsed in the Netflix trailer, showcases what appears to be an emerald-cut centre stone, according to Neil.

He shared: “This is a significant departure from the original cushion-cut diamond, reflecting a more contemporary aesthetic.

“Emerald-cut diamonds are known for their elegant, step-cut facets and elongated shape. This change could potentially increase the ring’s value to around £300,000 ($370,000). The new cut offers a sleeker, more modern look that aligns beautifully with Meghan’s evolving style and public persona.

“But what’s particularly interesting is how this change symbolises Meghan’s transformation from royal life to her current role in a myriad of things. The emerald cut is often associated with confidence and clarity – qualities Meghan may feel she has since leaving the royal family.”

Invictus Games – (2022)

Change: Diamond additions

Additional diamonds were added to the central stone setting in 2022 which likely doubled the value[/caption]

In 2022, we saw another subtle yet impactful change to Meghan’s ring.

Additional diamonds were added to the central stone setting, debuting at the Invictus Games in The Hague.

This enhancement likely boosted the ring’s value to approximately £250,000 ($310,000), according to Neil.

He added: “The additional diamonds serve to amplify the ring’s overall brilliance, drawing more attention to the centre stone.

“This could be seen as a metaphor for Meghan and Harry’s increased focus on their personal projects and charitable endeavours post-royal life.

“Interestingly, the Invictus Games hold special significance for the couple – it’s where they made their first public appearance together in 2017.

“The ring’s upgrade at this event seems to celebrate their journey together and their shared commitment to causes close to their hearts.”

Birth of Their First Son – (2019)

The 2019 redesign by celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz marked a significant transformation, according to Neil.

He shared:. “The yellow gold band was replaced with a delicate micro-pavé diamond band, adding extra sparkle and a more contemporary feel to the ring.

“This change coincided with the couple’s first wedding anniversary and the birth of their son, Archie.

“To commemorate these milestones, an eternity ring was added to Meghan’s stack, featuring the birthstones of Meghan (peridot), Harry (emerald), and Archie (sapphire) on the underside.

“This thoughtful update, estimated at £260,000 ($320,000), beautifully blended personal symbolism with high-end craftsmanship.

“The addition of the pavé diamonds could be seen as representing the many facets of their new life together, while the hidden birthstones speak to the private, family-focused side of their relationship.”

A Royal Love Story – (2017)

Prince Harry designed the original bespoke three-stone piece with the help of Cleave & Company[/caption]

The original 2017 design, first seen during the couple’s engagement announcement, was a classic beauty with deep sentimental value.

Neil added: “It featured a 3-carat cushion-cut diamond from Botswana, a place close to the couple’s hearts, flanked by two diamonds from Princess Diana‘s collection.

“Set on a yellow gold band – Meghan’s favourite at the time – this initial design was valued at around £120,000 ($150,000).

“The use of Diana’s diamonds was a touching way to include Harry’s late mother in their journey, while the Botswana centre stone represented the couple’s shared love for Africa.

“The cushion-cut diamond, known for its pillow-like shape and rounded corners, offered a perfect blend of vintage charm and timeless elegance. This original design beautifully encapsulated the fairy-tale nature of their royal romance.”

How did Prince Harry propose?

The smitten royal popped the question with a stunning ring he designed himself using two diamonds belonging to his late mother, Princess Diana.

Prince Harry told the BBC: “It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage; just a standard typical night for us.”

Meghan then explained the couple were having a “cosy night in”, adding: “[We were] trying to roast a chicken and it just – just an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic.

“He got on one knee.”

Harry revealed how they had “hugs” after the proposal and he handed over the ring.

Prince Harry said: “She didn’t even let me finish, she said ‘can I say yes, can I say yes’ and then were was hugs and I had the ring in my finger and I was like ‘can I – can I give you the ring?’ She goes – ‘oh yes the ring’.

“So no it was – it was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us and I think managed to catch – catch her by surprise as well.”

The Duke of Sussex had initially hoped to propose to Meghan in the far more exotic surroundings of Botswana, according to a documentary.

the 2019 Channel 5 documentary Meghan Markle: Movies, Marriage and Motherhood said this wasn’t what the duke had previously had on the cards.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl said: “I had actually been told by one of his friends that he had planned to pop the question in Botswana but for whatever reason he didn’t.

“It happened a few weeks later while they were home, at Nottingham Cottage roasting a chicken.

“Utter domestic simplicity and bliss and incredibly romantic.”

Ross sat down with legendary cast members, including Adam Woodyatt, Gillian Taylforth, Letitia Dean and Jessie Wallace, who shared their memories of portraying some of the soap’s most-beloved characters.

But it was his interview with Pam St Clement, one of the square’s most iconic matriarchs that left fans in tears.

The 82-year-old actress, who is best known for playing feisty Pat Butcher for over two decades, lamented the death of Dame Barbara Windsor, who passed away at 83 in 2020, after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Pam shared memories about her iconic role, which included her big earrings, and how she based her character on a bus conductor.

But it was when she discussed her on screen friendship with love rival Peggy Mitchell that her emotions overwhelmed her.

Revisiting their past storylines, the pair watched scenes from a touching 2016 episode where Pat returned as a ghost and promised never to leave Peggy as she passed away.

Both actors were visibly moved by the memories of their late friend and co-star.

And when Ross asked Pam how she felt watching the scenes again an emotional Pam replied: “Well, I miss her, I mean, basically I miss her tremendously.”

With tears in her eyes and Ross also upset, it was clear that Dame Barbara’s presence was deeply missed.

Viewers were so moved by Ross and Pam’s conversation that they shared their emotions on social media.

“Peggy’s final episode… eeehhh don’t do this to me! #EastEnders #EastEnders40” said one fan.

Another added: “Pam St Clement choking up remembering Barbara Windsor 😭 #Eastenders #EastEnders40.”

“Pam St Clement talking about Barbara Windsor just broke my heart #EastEnders #EE40.” said another.

While others expressed their opinions that the soap bosses were wrong to get rid of Pam’s character Pat.

Mum, 43, shot dead by husband in ‘murder-suicide’ before he ‘jumped off QE2 bridge’ on Valentine’s Day, cops fear

COPS fear a mum-of-two was shot dead by her husband in a ‘murder-suicide’ before he ‘jumped off a bridge’ on Valentine’s Day.

Lisa Smith, 43, was brutally gunned down by a man “known to her” at the Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Kent, on February 14.

Kent Police are believed to be probing whether the horror was a murder suicide as river crews search the Thames for their prime suspect, Lisa’s husband Edvard Stockings.

He was seen on the wrong side of the barrier 17 miles away at Dartford Crossing after the shooting.

At 7pm on Saturday, Kent Police found an abandoned vehicle and firearm linked to him on the QE2 bridge.

Detective Chief Inspector David Higham said he is “not ruling out the possibility that he may have entered the water.”

He added: “We are currently only looking for one suspect and do not believe there to be an ongoing risk to the public.

“Specialist officers continue to work with the families of both parties involved to support them following this tragic incident.”

It comes as a source said Lisa – also known as Lisa Stockings – had been in the pub with a female friend the night of the tragedy.

Witnesses reporting hearing several gunshots from outside the venue.

Emergency services sadly pronounced the 43-year-old dead at the scene.

Tributes poured in for the mum-of-two after she was pictured for the first time.

Her heartbroken son Teejay Smith shared an emotional statement alongside pictures of Lisa.

The 19-year-old posted a photograph of the pair, writing: “My mum, the best woman to walk in two shoes.”

Teejay included a number of heart-wrenching snaps of his mum, with one showing Lisa posing next to an Amy Winehouse statue and another of her glammed up for a glitzy event.

Posting a video of floral tributes left at the scene, Donna Kidd said: “Taken way too soon, our lady Lisa girl loved forever and always never be another Lisa.

“Girl love from all your girls.”

Marylou Tom Harber added: “No words so sad RIP Lisa girl to beautiful for this earth.”

Meanwhile tributes were left at the scene, with flowers and balloons, placed on a nearby section of grass.

One touching card read: “Our love and prayers are with your family, especially your boys and granddaughter.

“May they continue to frown knowing the love you always showed them.

“May your light continue to shine as bright as it always has.”

Two other cards read: “Dear Lisa, rest in peace.”

Many people had left Red Bull along with their written tributes.

One said: “She was a wonderful mum, a beautiful woman, they’d just had a granddaughter. They had everything going for them.

“I just can’t understand what happened, they were so happy.

“We know them from Lingfield, we’re family, my son grew up with theirs.

“She had two children, they were 21 and 10 – how do you explain to a 10 year old what’s happened?”

‘WONDERFUL MUM’

The second devastated mourner said: “She was a great, great woman, I just can’t believe it.”

Balloons with the words “a wonderful mum” had also been left tied to a brick near the flowers.

Another balloon had the Disney mermaid Ariel.

Later a floral tribute and note was left by a woman who knew Lisa as a customer from her shop.

Fighting back tears, she said: “She was beautiful – an absolutely beautiful woman.

“Just gorgeous, a lovely family. I knew her and her family for years, her kids too, she was lovely.

“You just can’t know why things like this happen.”

One source said Lisa had been in the pub with a female friend before she was pronounced dead at the scene following the tragedy.

‘SCREAMING, CRYING, SHOUTING’

The pub’s landlady Michelle Thomas has described how the tragedy unfolded while she was printing off menus for Valentine’s Day dinner service.

Michelle says she heard two bangs as Lisa was shot, with the mum-of-two later being pronounced dead at the scene.

She told Sky News: “There was so much commotion – screaming, shouting, crying. People were outside, on their phones.

“We tried to get people inside the pub to consolidate them. People were only just starting to sit down, it was early on in the evening.”

As 30 people were seated for dinner, another 20 were situated in the bar as the shocking shooting began.

The landlady described the community as experiencing “absolute shock” as the pub reopened for the first time on Sunday following the tragedy.

Terrified locals claimed they heard “three loud bangs” after the woman was shot dead outside the pub on Friday night.

Another revealed how petrified couples were “locked in” the pub for their own safety.

The villager, who lives close to the pub, said: “I heard three loud bangs and a bit of commotion.”

Zack Warne, 19, added: “It is shocking, this is Knockholt, not south London.

“The helicopter was up all night.”

Joyce Betts, 82, who lives nearby, continued: “My granddaughter called me and said ‘make sure your windows and doors are locked’.

“I could see lights outside but I couldn’t tell what was going on it was coming through that someone had been shot, I thought oh my God that’s all we need in our sleepy little village.”

‘LOCKED IN’

One villager, who would only give her name as Julie, said armed police swooped on the pub.

She said: “My brother-in-law and sister-in-law were in the pub for valentines dinner. They were locked in.

“I was texting them making sure they were okay. There were armed police all over the pub.

“When they were told to come home they had to have their picture taken and they were escorted home by the police.

“It is scary. It was really distressing for them.”

Ray Picot, 70, said: “Just after 7pm I heard the shots. Bang, bang. I thought it was a road traffic collision at first.

“I thought ‘oh no not another accident’. The helicopter was buzzing around for hours.

“I’ve lived here 30 years and it’s a real shock. It’s such a quiet area.”

Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics had rushed to the pub in the quiet village after reports of a disturbance at the Three Horseshoes pub.

There, they discovered Lisa who had suffered injuries “consistent with gunshot wounds” and she was declared deceased at the scene shortly after 7pm on Friday.

Following the horrific shooting, the pub released a statement that read: “Following the official press release of the tragic incident that happened on the premises last night – all of us at the Three Horseshoes want to send our sincere condolences to the victim’s family and friends.

“We also want to send our support to anyone else in the local and surrounding community who have been impacted by this.

“Please be respectful of everyone involved at this difficult time, thank you.”

Kent Police have been contacted for further information.

Tuchel officially began his new £5million-a-year role as Three Lions chief on January 1.

He has since been seen at Premier League grounds around the country ahead of his first squad announcement next month.

But according to The Times, Tuchel has already missed three rounds of top-flight fixtures and cup matches.

The FA have agreed Tuchel can make regular trips back to Germany to see his family.

He has two children with ex-wife Sissi, who he divorced in 2022.

The ex-Chelsea boss attended his first Premier League game on January 4, watching Tottenham take on Newcastle.

He has since watched 16 more matches at home and abroad, including Champions League games in France, Spain and Italy.

But he has also missed the entire FA Cup third-round weekend and three entire Premier League gameweeks.

Chance of ‘city-killer’ asteroid 2024YR4 hitting Earth rises AGAIN to 1-in-38, Nasa says…with 100m people in ‘risk zone’

THE odds of a massive asteroid slamming into Earth have jumped again, with NASA now warning of a 2.6% chance of impact.

Asteroid 2024YR4 is hurtling through space at 30,000 mph and could unleash 500 times the power of the Hiroshima bomb if it collides with Earth.

The new photos were taken by the Gemini South Telescope in Chile[/caption] Map showing the potential impact zone of an asteroid.

And if the impact does happen, it puts more than 100 million people in a risk corridor.

The latest assessment raises the asteroid’s impact probability from 2.2% to 2.6%—a 1-in-38 chance.

That’s just shy of the highest-ever asteroid risk rating of 2.7%, given to 99942 Apophis in 2004 before it was later downgraded.

NASA’s data shows that 2024 YR4 measures between 130 and 330 feet (40-100m) across, roughly the size of Big Ben’s tower or a football pitch.

If it hits, the blast radius could stretch up to 50 km (30 miles), flattening everything in its path.

European Space Agency (ESA) projections show the path could intersect with Earth’s orbit at Christmas time in 2032 – specifically 8.52am GMT on Wednesday, December 22.

The potential impact zone cuts across some of the world’s most populated areas, including Bogotá, Abidjan, Lagos, Khartoum, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Dhaka — cities with a combined population of over 110 million.

Moly Wasser from NASA warned: “As more observations of the asteroid’s orbit are obtained, its impact probability will become better known.

“It is possible that asteroid 2024 YR4 will be ruled out as an impact hazard… It is also possible its impact probability will continue to rise.”

One faint silver lining—there’s a 0.3% chance the Moon could take the hit instead.

If that happened, Earth would witness an 8-megaton blast in space, and the Moon would be left with a 1.2-mile-wide crater.

Still, experts say it’s unlikely that the Moon will shield us from a direct impact.

To refine its risk assessment, NASA is turning its James Webb Space Telescope toward the asteroid in March 2025.

The European Space Agency (ESA) also confirmed it will conduct detailed size and trajectory assessments in the coming months.

Meanwhile, ground-based tracking will continue until April, before the asteroid becomes too faint to observe until June 2028.

Scientists say the Moon would be left with a 1.2-mile-wide crater if it collides with the asteroid[/caption] Illustration of methods to deflect asteroids, including using nukes, drills, rockets, and gravity tractors.

Bryce Bolin, a NASA astronomer involved in capturing chilling new images of the asteroid, said: “Only a few asteroids have been studied like this.”

The latest chilling photos, taken on February 7 by the Gemini South Telescope in Chile, show 2024 YR4 as a bright smudge in space —captured while it was 37 million miles away.

NASA has already proven that asteroid deflection is possible, successfully smashing its DART spacecraft into a space rock in 2022 to change its course.

China is also planning an asteroid-redirection test in 2027, while two UN-endorsed task forces are actively studying 2024 YR4’s trajectory.

For now, astronomers remain hopeful that the asteroid will eventually be ruled out as a serious threat — but until more data comes in, the risk is still rising.
