A NEPO-BABY with a famous boyband dad is set to show off own vocal talent on the new series of American Idol.
The country singer, who often posts images showing him playing his guitar to his Instagram page, will no doubt be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the chart icon.

The Mega AgencyBrian found chart fame in boyband Backstreet Boys[/caption]
Baylee Littrell – son of the Backstreet Boys singer Brian Littrell, 49 – will show off his skills to the reality TV show panel when the programme returns next month.
The 22-year-old has previously toured with the I Want It That Way hitmakers and has his dad’s handsome looks, with blonde curly hair and a chiselled jawline.
He teased his upcoming telly stint on social media and wrote: “Well guys, recently I had the opportunity to audition for @americanidol.
“Tune in to see the season premiere and what happens on 3/9/25!”
Proud dad Brian shared his excitement about his son’s success in the comments, writing: “Bubba I can’t wait!!!!!
“Good Luck we’re all counting on you hahaha.”
Brian recently opened up on his son’s work ethic and told Today.com: “He was just texting me last night, going, ‘Dad, dude, how do you do this? Like, it’s hard work.’
“He’s been busting his butt, and I’m super proud of him. He kind of gets a new sense of reality of what this is.”
The pair have even collaborated on track Come Kiss Me.
Recently, fans discussed if the Boxes singer had benefitted from his nepo-baby status and father’s status.
One music-lover wrote on Reddit: “Do you believe Baylee Littrell being the son of a BSB is preventing him from getting a record deal?
“He does acknowledge that being a son of a BSB has gotten him through some doors.
“I personally believe his vocals and songs are simply not good enough and has not displayed the talent. Being a son of a BSB basically ensures his talent would not go unnoticed if it was there.”
Another said of the singer, who has a host of singles on Spotify: “Looks just like Brian.
“I don’t like country music so when he opened the show I went to three years ago, I tuned him out. So I don’t recall how much talent he actually has.”
Another then quizzed of the Gone singer: “Why would it prevent him? If anything, wouldn’t it help ?Wouldn’t he want a record deal?”
One fan then added: “I would think that having Brian as his father would work in his favour, seeing as he’s had a very successful career with BSB.
“I would think that would look good.”

4 days agoworld NewsComments Off on Antrim GAA captain doubles down on Corrigan Park demand for Armagh clash despite potential expulsion from Ulster SFC
DERMOT McALEESE doubled down on Antrim’s insistence that their Ulster quarter-final against Armagh will be played at Corrigan Park.
On February 6, the Saffrons – who were drawn as the home team – threatened to boycott the tie if it did not take place at the Belfast venue.
Dermot McAleese repeated calls for Antrim’s Ulster quarter-final against Armagh to take place at Corrigan ParkPiaras Ó Mídheach/Sportsfile
However, UlsterGAAinsisted that the ground doesn’t meet requiredhealth and safetystandards, nor capacity guidelines.
There appears to be no end in sight for the saga, however, with Antrim captain McAleese repeating the call for the game to be played at Corrigan.
He was speaking to RTE following their Division 3 football league loss to Mickey Harte’s Offaly.
And he said: “As a playing group and a management group, we made our position clear a couple of weeks ago and we are standing by it.
“Our job is to focus on the football especially after a result like that there. That is what we will be doing this week.
“We have made it clear, that’s our home ground and that is where we will be playing the game.”
If Antrim do not play the game, they run the risk of being kicked out of the championship altogether.
But McAleese added: “We have heard speculation about that there. No confirmation from anyone.
“As I say, we have made our statement and that is what we are standing by.
“Corrigan is our home ground. Some great games there in the Championship in the past with Cavan.
“The hurlers have had some great games in Corrigan, Clare I can remember, so as far as we can see, that is where the game is going.”
And the former Saffron hurler believes the priority should be to “facilitate as many fans as possible”.
Speaking on Allianz League Sunday on February 9, he said: “I love Corrigan Park. I really enjoy playing there.
“Whenever we made it our home as a county ground, it really stood to us and our performances there have been really good.
“I can fully understand why the Antrim county board, the Antrim football management, the Antrim football players all want to play it there.
“But if it is going to cost you home venue for some games next year if we don’t abide by the rules, it wouldn’t be the smartest thing to do.”
Asked if he thought it was fair for Corrigan Park to be snubbed due to it not being big enough, McManus insisted the priority should be to get as many fans in as possible.
He added: “We want as many people as we can to be able to watch the games.
“It is only fair that both Armagh and Antrim fans get to watch that game but it is how do we accommodate them at a ground that can only fit 3,000 to 3,500 fans maybe?
“How would you pick how many fans get to go?
“And how many from Antrim and how many from Armagh?
“It would be a very tough situation for both counties to be in and I think whatever the outcome is it does have to be done to facilitate as may fans as possible.”
4 days agoworld NewsComments Off on EastEnders killing Sonia Fowler on anniversary would be one of the boldest moves in soap history – should bosses do it?
IF THERE is one thing that is guaranteed on the anniversary episode of EastEnders, it’s high drama.
As the soap celebrates 40 years on BBC screens with a special live episode and a blaze in The Queen Vic, viewers are wondering what will happen.
BBCIf there is one thing that is guaranteed on the anniversary episode of EastEnders, it’s high drama.[/caption]
BBCSonia and Bianca in the Queen Vic which will go on fire in the anniversary episodes[/caption]
BBCNatalie has played the role of Sonia for three decades[/caption]
BBCSonia in her early feisty days with the fan favourite Pauline Fowler[/caption]
It’s fair to say that when it comes to the soap war, EastEnders is winning at the moment.
With multiple gripping storylines, live elements, stunts, pregnancies, both an attacker and a murderer on the loose, they are absolutely killing it.
But I don’t want the producers to become killers, which I think they might possibly be.
If Reiss dies, it will be a satisfying end to what has been a horrendously brilliant and gripping plot point.
There are rumours that Martin Fowler might get killed off after James Bye got rid of any mention of EastEnders from his social media bios.
That would be bad, but the worst mistake producers could make would be to kill off our favourite bisexual trumpet playing gal pal.
As a character, Sonia is simply an institution. The way she looks, the way she sounds, she is just so quintessentially EastEnders.
If she was allowed to grow old, I have no doubt that she would become a glorious London matriarch like we have seen before with Peggy, Pat, Angie and Dot.
Over the 32 (mostly) glorious years, she has helped to build the soap into what we see today.
Sonia Fowler’s biggest EastEnders storylines
Sonia Fowler has featured in EastEnders since 1993, and after starring in thousands of episodes, has been featured in storylines ranging from teenage pregnancy to a cancer scare. Here are some of her biggest.
Teen Pregnancy and Birth of Chloe Jackson (1999-2000) Sonia discovered she was pregnant at the age of 15. Viewers were shocked by the sudden birth, as the teen went into labour without even realising she was pregnant. Martin Fowler turned out to be Chloe’s father. Sonia initially decided to give the girl up for adoption.
Death of her boyfriend (2002) Sonia’s boyfriend, Jamie Mitchell, was hit by a car driven by her baby’s father. Jamie had just bought an engagement ring for his girlfriend before being struck down by the thoughtless Martin, who was texting while driving. Although the Jamie was rushed to hospital, docs said his liver was irreparably damaged, and he ended up dying with Sonia by his side.
Marriage to Martin Fowler and Family Tensions (2004-2007) In a shock twist Sonia went on to marry the man responsible for her previous boyfriend’s death. Their relationship was marred by conflicts and infidelity, and they went on to split up after just three years. At one point in their marriage Sonia was taken hostage by Sarah Cairns, who became obsessed with Martin after he flirted with her during a drunken night out. The couple went through struggles again when the adoptive parents of their daughter were killed in a car crash, leaving them responsible for Rebecca. Because of the tension in their relationship Sonia ended up cheating on her husband with one of her co-workers, nurse Naomi Julien.
Custody Battle for Rebecca (2005-2007) Baby Chloe, who was renamed Rebecca, was kidnapped by her mum early in life before being returned to her adoptive parents. After Neil and Sue Miller died they awarded Martin full custody of the child because of Sonia’s extra-marital affair. The mum was left distraught to be cut out of her daughter’s life.
Gastric Band Surgery and Weight Struggles (2014-2015) Sonia became insecure about her weight and arranged to have a secret gastric band surgery in Bulgaria. She later collapsed at an exercise class after suffering complications from the operation.
Discovery of Bex’s Suicide Attempt (2019) Sonia’s daughter Rebecca tried to take her own life in a heartbreaking storyline which left viewers in tears. She found Bex unconscious after taking an overdose, and was devastated. Sonia blamed herself for pushing her daughter to breaking point, as she had tried to force her into going to Oxford despite Bex saying she didn’t feel ready for university.
She has had gritty and serious moments, but she has also made us laugh on many occasions.
Quite simply, the soap would not be the same without her. So if you can give her the option to return one day, why risk that?
But there is something else. Coronation Street is really struggling at the moment as both the audience and the cast look elsewhere.
It’s moments like the random killing of Les Battersby off-screen that solidify the mistakes in the minds of viewers at home.
As a character, Sonia is simply an institution
One might think that it shows that the lack of respect the writers and producers have for the legacy of the show.
Killing Sonia off on the live anniversary episode might be a good idea when it comes to spectacle and shock value.
However, when it comes to the long-term future of the soap, I might think again.
I want to see at least another 40 years of EastEnders on my screen, and a vital part of that is honouring the legacy that came before.
I don’t want to see Sonia’s death become just a headline in the Walford Gazette to be thrown away the next day.
Killing off an iconic and long-running character like Sonia, a role that still has potential, would be a big mistake.
I hear you Joshua but totally disagree, except with your opinion of wanting to see at least another 40 years of EastEnders on my screen!
As you say, just as Honey and Billy Mitchell are celebrating their wedding, a blast at the Vic will leave at least one character confirmed to die in the disaster.
The latest rumours flying around social media about who that might be include long term established characters Martin Fowler, Cindy Beale, Stacey Slater and Sonia Fowler.
The best choice the producers could make out of that list – would be the boring and sanctimonious Sonia.
No discredit to Natalie, who is a talented actor, who I hope goes on to bigger and better things.
Sonia is an annoying yawn fest now
But the writers have done her a huge disservice by turning her once lovable character into an annoying yawn fest.
Sonia grimaces around the square with her holier than thou attitude yet she is no saint.
Let’s remember she was in cahoots with Reiss stealing from his comatose wife and before that she even stole from the beloved Dot Cotton!
Believe me, this new Sonia would sell your Granny if there was something in it for her.
Yet she’s so often nasty to other characters who she thinks are doing wrong and argues with them in such a sanctimonious way.
Would you want to live on the same street as Sonia? Someone who’s constantly watching everyone and poking their nose in.
She’s into everyone’s business like she’s some great saviour who knows the answer to everyone’s problems especially if it’s a medical issue – Nurse Sonia will come to the rescue!
And if she was allowed to grow old, she would never become a glorious matriarch like we have seen before with Lou, Pauline and Dot.
She’s too dull, humourless and condescending for that.
Instead, we already have Eastenders’ women stepping up to the role in the form of the formidable Suki Panesar, unlucky in love Stacey Slater and of course survivorCindy Beale.
So Sonia can take her trumpet and her whinging off to pastures new but the writers should be ashamed of what they’ve turned her character into over the years.
However, for the show to kill a main character, someone as iconic as Sonia – it would be such a brave and bold move.
And certainly not a disappointment unlike other big ticket episodes gone by in Soapland when it’s a more minor character who perishes as bosses aren’t brave enough to kill off a big name.
Sometimes, just sometimes, we have to let go of the past to move on to bigger and brighter things.

THE long delayed and over budget National Children’s Hospital may not open until 2027 and could cost up to €3 billion, Labour Party TD Alan Kelly has claimed.
A view of the new National Children’s Hospital in DublinBrian Lawless/PA WireHealth Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill was advised that the final bill for the hospital is now coming in at €2.24 billionBrian Lawless/PA Wire
A briefing document provided to the new Minister by the Department of Health says that the hospital is due to be handed over by developers BAM in June 2025.
However, the facility will then have to be fitted out with equipment in a commissioning process that will take “at least six months.”
The Department told the Minister that the migration from the three current children’s hospitals to the new hospital “cannot be undertaken in winter due to clinical risks.”
This means that first patients will not be treated at the hospital until at least 2026.
The completion date for the hospital has been pushed back 14 times so far with the cost spiralling from €650m to at least €2.24 billion.
Labour TD Alan Kelly – who has been probing the construction of the hospital in the Public Accounts Committee – today claimed that it won’t open until at least 2027.
He said: “I personally believe we’re not going to see a full opening of this hospital until 2027.
“I think it is borderline impossible in the way in which they have handled this issue.
“I think structurally we will get there. There will be issues with the contractor. We all know that this will go somewhere between €2.5bn and €3bn.
“But people are forgetting that not alone do you have to have huge recruitment, not alone do you have a lot of transfer of staff but the processes have to be put in place for managing and working and they will take a considerable period of time.
“I said this was going to go over €2bn and it was dismissed by the Government.
“I said there wasn’t a snowball’s chance of this opening this year and it was dismissed by the Government.
“They have both been proven true and I think I’ll be proven true on this one as well.”
‘WITHIN TOUCHING DISTANCE’ OF OPENING
Deputy Kelly said the commissioning of the hospital once it is handed over to the State from the builders will take at least one year.
Builder BAM has submitted 2,789 claims for the project valued at an additional €853m which the State is contesting as they fight to bring down the final bill.
Tanaiste Simon Harris today said we are “within touching distance” of the hospital being available for children and the State would fight “robustly” against the builder’s cash claims.
He said: “The developer can look for whatever the developer wants but the State is gonna continue to robustly push back.
“I think we need to be very careful when we’re quoting figures that the developer is looking for in additional claims that we are conscious of the fact that so many claims that have been lodged by the developer have not been paid out and have been found not to be valid.
“The State will continue to robustly push back on additional claims being submitted by the developer.”
Sinn Fein’s public expenditure spokesperson Mairead Farrell today questioned how the State will “robustly push back” on the developer’s claims as she too claimed the final bill for the hospital will run to €3bn.
Aontu leader Peadar Toibin today called for Tanaiste Simon Harris to resign over the National Children’s Hospital as he was Health Minister at the time the contract was signed with the builder.

ITVSimon Cowell will be heading up the judging panel once again[/caption]
It’s now been revealed that Britain’s Got Talent Unseen will be back for another year.
This spin-off show lets viewers get a sneak peak at more behind-the-scenes action, plus lets them get to see acts that didn’t make it to the main show.
BGT Unseen will start on the same day as the new series but air exclusively on ITVX.
However, BGT Reacts will not be returning this year, according to TV Zone UK.
The show – which has reportedly been axed – saw celebrity guests give their reaction to the main show.
YouTube sensation KSI has joined the panel for this year’s series, which will see original judges Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden reunite with Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.
Ahead of the show’s launch on Saturday, ITV released a series of glam shots of the judges.
Head judge Simon can be seen leading the lineup, with him posing beside Amanda, Alesha, Bruno and KSI.
Also in the first look snaps, show hosts Ant and Dec can be seen beaming.
In the new promotional images, Alesha is dressed to impress in a silver minidress and some knee-high leather boots.
Meanwhile, Amanda rocked a bright red dress and some killer heels.
Bruno could then be seen rocking a blue velvet suit with a shirt underneath that didn’t have all of the buttons done up for added suaveness.
And new judge, KSI, looked ready for filming as he stood in a loose-fitting navy suit with some white trainers.

The 65-year-old music mogul will lay on the floor in the upcoming series while a BGT hopeful smashes watermelons with a mallet just inches from his head.
In a trailer for the new series, Amanda and Alesha looked very worried as they screamed while Simon lay on the floor.
A member of the health and safety team then rushed onto the stage to stop the act.
When Simon stood up, he exclaimed: “Are you f***ing crazy?”
He has since broken his silence on the incident, saying how he “nearly got killed 12 times”.
Simon recently told The Mirror: “It’s that feeling when you kind of think somebody doesn’t want you on the show any more. It was that. It was the closest, genuinely, where I’m thinking, ‘They actually want to kill me’.
“And I swear to God, that’s how I felt because this guy got really nervous and he’d slipped and was shaking as he was smashing these watermelons.”
He went on: “The health and safety guys, normally quite annoying, actually stopped him.
“Thank God, they saved my life. When you’re up there you’re immersed in it and then you go home and think, ‘That s*** is dark, I nearly got killed twelve times’.”
BGT's Best Golden Buzzer Moments
BGT have handed out many Golden Buzzer's over the years, can you remember some of the most famous
Loren Allred – Loren Allred, 32, from Brooklyn, New York jetted to London to audition after recording the vocals for The Greatest Showman. The stunning singer got a standing ovation and a Golden Buzzer from the judges as she delivered a stirring rendition of Never Enough from the popular film. Loren came out on stage and revealed to the judges they would have heard her voice many times before that moment. “I was hired to record the vocals for The Greatest Showman as a guide for the actors to know how to sing the songs,” she explained. Loren then revealed actress Rebecca Ferguson was so stunned by her singing that she decided to let her vocals be heard in the movie. “So she lip-synced,” Loren said.
Chicken Shed Theatre Company – Comprised of individuals aged between 5 and 37, the group was set up to welcome anyone irrespective of background to get up on stage and perform and fulfil their dream. Chicken Shed prides itself on accepting anyone and does not hold auditions to make the group a safe and inclusive space. The group wowed as they performed Wonder by Naughty Boy featuring Emeli Sande. It meant that Alesha wasted no time as she decided to hit her golden buzzer for the young performers. She told them it was her “honour” to reward their inclusiveness with her golden buzzer.
The Dancing Granny – Granny Paddy Jones and her professional partner Niko Espinosa first hit headlines when they won the Spanish talent show Tú sí que vales in 2009, before going on to appear on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 where they came ninth. Amanda Holden was so impressed with Paddy that she gave her the Golden Buzzer, which sent them straight through to the semi-finals. But things took a worrying turn when Paddy cracked a rib while rehearsing a new move and her place on the show was under doubt. She was given the all-clear to perform in the end but didn’t quite live up to expectations.
Bars and Melody – They will forever be remembered for their anti-bullying song on the talent show. Bars and Melody were first seen on the 2014 series of Britain’s Got Talent, getting shuttled into the semi-finals when Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer. They made it to the final thanks to a performance of I’ll Be Missing You but lost out on the crown to Collabro. These days Charlie Lenehan – known as Melody – is covered in tattoos, with inkings on his neck, arms and chest. But he is as close as ever to co-star Leondre Devries – who is Bars – with the pair seen enjoying themselves in exotic locations all over the world.

CORONATION Street fans were on the edge of their seats after the shocking fallout from murderer Rob Donovan’s deadly stairwell tumble.
After a tense showdown, Rob’s (Marc Baylis) fate takes a dramatic turn – but is he dead or alive?
ITVRob Donovan was pushed down the stairs by Carla and fell over the railings and plummeted to the ground[/caption]
ITVCarla looked down at him in shock[/caption]
ITVBut is Rob really dead?[/caption]
The cold-blooded killer great escape took a deadly twist in Monday’s gripping episode of Coronation Street.
He held his sister Carla Connor (Alison King) at gunpoint in a abandoned factory and brutally attacked DCI Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).
Summoning every ounce of strength, Carla charged at him, shoving him hard.
He teetered for a moment before tumbling over the stairwell, landing with a sickening thud below.
Rob was left motionless on the floor as a horrified Carla looked on.
A battered but very much alive Lisa then staggered onto the scene and confirmed he had no pulse as the soap continued on Tuesday.
DI Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) arrived on the scene and helped Lisa get a shaken and weak Carla to the hospital.
Lisa persuaded Kit to leave Rob behind, believing he was dead with no pulse – and he hesitantly agreed.
However, when Craig (Colson Smith) and the police arrived at the abandoned factory, Rob’s body was nowhere to be found.
Craig later informed a shocked Kit that Rob was very much alive and on the run in a stolen car.
With the police searching for him, is it only a matter of time before he’s caught?
Meanwhile, Carla’s life hangs in the balance as doctors confirm she has developed an infection, putting her new kidney at risk of failure -leaving her loved ones devastated.
Elsewhere, Lisa faces questioning over Rob’s escape and is accused of helping him.
Later, she breaks the news to a guilt-ridden Carla that Rob is still alive and on the run.
Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025
ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap.
This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama.
Colson Smith – Craig Tinker
The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig’s on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role.
Sue Cleaver – Eileen Grimshaw
After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I’m A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she’s already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future.
The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she’s hungry to see what other opportunities await.
A second posted a clip of a man throwing a ball at the wall and quipped: “Rob bounces off the wall in Corrie.”
A third hilariously wrote: “Let me get this straight… Carla pushes Rob, he stumbles into the wall and then, quite acrobatically, launches himself off the stairs… Get Rob done for diving please ref.”
“I was wondering if that wall was made of rubber. That was the most unnatural move I’ve seen in a while,” a fourth commented.
