Shock moment MAFS Australia groom’s family WALK OUT on bride during tense group meet up as they argue over couple

MARRIED At First Sight Australia descended into chaos as Adrian Araouzou’s family dramatically walked out on his bride during tense group meet up.

In a teaser for the upcoming family and friends week, Adrian‘s twin sisters, Elita and Nikola, and his close friend Jasmin Weston are seen coming to blows with bride Awhina Rutene and her twin sister, Cleo.

While the two-part installment is set to air on E4 in the UK, viewers Down Under have already been treated to what went down.

During the conversation, the groom’s family pressed Awhina on the struggles in her relationship with Adrian.

Things took a turn when Awhina pointed out that another participant had asked more about her son than Adrian had, suggesting a lack of interest from her groom.

Jasmin responded sharply, saying, “You would hope so,” a remark that struck a nerve with Awhina’s sister Cleo, who interpreted it as a dig at Awhina’s parenting.

Cleo fiercely defended her sister, leading to a fiery exchange between the two families.

As the argument escalated, Adrian’s family decided they’d had enough.

One of his sisters declared, “We don’t like people who are this aggressive,” before the group walked out, leaving Awhina and Cleo stunned.

In the wake of the dramatic moment, Awhina later revealed that Jasmin had reached out to apologise for the confrontation.

While Awhina appreciated the gesture, she admitted she wished the apology had come sooner.

During an episode last month, the couple had a blazing row over Adrian’s lack of help and cleanliness around the flat.

Awhina said to Adrian: “I don’t feel like you do anything. I don’t feel like you do anything.”

Adrian then said: “This is the dumbest conversation I’ve ever had, talking about dishes.”

He then laughed and smirked, leaving his wife absolutely fuming.

“Don’t laugh at me,” she said.

“I’m not actually getting caught up in that stupid conversation,” Adrian added before rolling off of the bed.

“Get me out of here,” he then pleaded to the producers as he turned his back on his wife, put his jumper over his shoulders and walked away.

“Adrian, you’re not hearing,” Awhina said.

“I’m in a bad mood, and you can’t handle it,” she added.

Adrian then said: “And you can be in a bad mood. I said you’re allowed to be in a bad mood.

“Just don’t project it on other people.”

Awhina then said Adrian wasn’t doing anything to “bring her out of the bad mood”.

Walking out of their door, Adrian said: “It’s a thing, that’s a you thing.”

Awhina then said: “And once again, he leaves and the bin needs emptying.”

“Adrian is pretending not to realise – or may be too thick to understand – that the argument is about much more than the bin or the dishes in the sink,” said a second.

A third then penned: “She needs to leave, that man child is no good for her!”

While a fourth added: “Awhina is far too pretty to be putting up with his bulls**t!”

The couple earlier ran into an issue when Adrian expressed he didn’t want to be a father to a child that isn’t his own after learning of Awhina’s son.

Love Island’s Samantha Kenny stuns as she strips off to red lingerie after night out with Pete Wicks

LOVE Island star Samantha Kenny sizzled in red lingerie just days after her night out with Pete Wicks.

The reality star, who appeared on series 11 of the ITV2 dating show, slipped into a plunging lace corset and stockings.

Samantha’s sexy display comes after Towie legend Pete, 37, was seen hugging the reality TV beauty outside Amazonico nightclub on Sunday before they left together in a taxi.

In the new photos, the Liverpudlian, 27, showcased her toned figure in a second Ann Summers lingerie set.

The blonde bombshell wore a sheer red and black chemise with a matching thong and suspenders.

On Sunday, Pete was spotted in a cosy embrace with Samantha after moving on from ex Maura Higgins.

Samantha found fame when she dated Pete’s Towie co-star Joey Essex in the Love Island villa.

She stunned in a figure-hugging strapless top paired with denim jeans.

She accessorised with open-toe black stilettos, a leather bag, and a sparkling diamond choker, braving the chilly London night in style.

The pair’s affectionate moment comes amid reports that Pete has “moved on and couldn’t care less” about ex Maura Higgins

The pair were in a blossoming relationship and she even spoke about him in the I’m A Celebrity jungle before they dramatically split up two months later.

Maura then branded Pete a cheater, after it was revealed in February that they had called time on their romance.

Since then, Maura made headlines after The Sun spotted her kissing married McFly star Danny Jones at the BRITs.

Danny later released a statement on social media apologising to his family – while Maura’s ex Pete took a swipe at her.

“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”

Maura kept quiet but liked supportive comments from fans, one which said “ignore the trolls”.

Samantha’s time on Love Island ended in tears when Joey dumped her for Grace Jackson.

Sam got her revenge when she was invited back to the villa alongside a group of dumped islanders to vote one couple out before the final.

She confronted Joey and told him: “You were lying to my face for two weeks.

“You saying to me we were one of the strongest couples in here and saying that you liked me as much as I liked you but then saying to Grace it was a friendship couple.”

Joey tried to defend himself and said: “We were in a friendship couple,” to which Samantha fired back: “We went on a date, we weren’t in a friendship couple, I don’t know why you’re saying that.”

The Essex lad told her: “There was never a spark there.”

A shocked Samantha was left open-mouthed and said: “Wow, why didn’t you tell me that.”

Joey told her that he had made his feelings clear throughout their time together, but Samantha branded him a “bare-faced liar”.

“You never said to me that there weren’t a spark, wow,” she fumed.

Joey replied: “We tried to make it work but it did work out.”

An angry Samantha said: “I’m a big girl I can take it, for two weeks you think you know if you’ve got a spark after a week.”

Joey then took a brutal swipe and said he can “barely remember what happened two months ago”.

His comment didn’t go down well with Samantha and she ranted that he was “cheeky”.

Big high street fashion chain goes bust after shutting 35 sites and staff won’t get paid wages

SELECT Fashion has gone bust after shutting 35 stores earlier this month and staff have been told they won’t get redundancy page or wages.

Advisers from insolvency firm Moorfields have begun the process of winding up clothing retailer Select Fashion following a creditors’ meeting on Friday afternoon.

All 40 staff members at the affected stores will not be paid their weekly wages for the time they worked before the stores closed, nor will they be given a redundancy package.

A number of employees have been told to apply for support through the government’s Redundancy Payment Service (RPS).

An email to staff, seen by The Sun, details how remaining employees were told the store had officially gone bust and there would be a “delay” in the payment of their wages.

The message continues: “Please be assured that your wages will be processed and paid out next week.

“We are doing everything we can to resolve this matter as swiftly as possible and appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.”

Following the message, worried workers have been met with silence and have been unable to make contact since.

It is also understood that some employees were told they would receive a payment to help tide them over for the weekend, but this never came through.

One source close to the matter said staff were told during the liquidation meeting last week that bank accounts used by the troubled fashion brand were instructed to be frozen.

The troubled fashion brand filed a notice last week to confirm it had appointed Moorfields to carry out the liquidation.

Earlier this month, The Sun revealed that directors at the fashion brand recommended that Select enter into a Creditor’s Voluntary Liquidation (CVL).

This is a process where both directors and shareholders at a firm agree to wind up a business that cannot repay its debts.

The company is shut down and all remaining assets are sold off to help pay back creditors.

The liquidation has now been made official following a creditors’ vote at last week’s meeting.

It marks the end of Select Fashion LTD, which last summer entered into a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), meaning it was put on a plan to help pay off its debts.

Just a few weeks ago, the brand closed 35 of its 83 stores across the UK in a move which impacted 40 staff members.

However, the brand name will live on, as 48 stores will continue to trade as Select after they were bought out by a mystery business.

Filings last month showed that Essence Fashion Limited has entered into a licence trade agreement with Select Fashion.

A director’s report details how the company entered into a license to trade with Essence on February 28, 2025.

This means the business has permission to use the Select Fashion name and other assets, such as its property.

Little is known about the firm, but filings on Companies House show it was created back in February 2024.

Select and Essence also have the same director and shareholder, Emre Gonc.

This is also not the first time the Select Fashion brand has changed hands.

Select went into administration in 2019, but was later bought out by Genus UK Limited.

The firm is owned by Turkish entrepreneur Cafer Mahiroğlu.

The Sun has approached Moorfields and Select Fashion for further comment but has not heard anything back.

TROUBLE ON THE HIGH STREET

Today spells further misery for shoppers who have had to bid farewell to a number of their favourite brands.

The affordable fashion space has suffered in recent years, as brands struggle to keep up online giant such as SHEIN and Temu.

Back in February, Quiz tumbled into insolvency, closing 23 stores.

Even H&M, has shaken up its store estate revealing plans to either close its standalone Monki stores or to integrate the brand with another one of its fashion lines, Weekday.

The Swedish clothing giant has also confirmed plans to close its Arket store in the Bullring on April 6.

New Look is ramping up a store closure programme ahead of April’s National Insurance hike.

Approximately a quarter of the retailer’s 364 stores are at risk when their leases expire.

This equates to about 91 stores, with a significant impact on its 8,000-strong workforce.

The company has restructured its store estate twice in the past six years, reducing its portfolio from around 600 UK stores in 2018.

It also closed all of its 26 stores across Ireland, marking the end of a two decade tenure in the country.

RETAIL PAIN IN 2025

The British Retail Consortium has predicted that the Treasury's hike to employer NICs will cost the retail sector £2.3billion.

Research by the British Chambers of Commerce shows that more than half of companies plan to raise prices by early April.

A survey of more than 4,800 firms found that 55% expect prices to increase in the next three months, up from 39% in a similar poll conducted in the latter half of 2024.

Three-quarters of companies cited the cost of employing people as their primary financial pressure.

The Centre for Retail Research (CRR) has also warned that around 17,350 retail sites are expected to shut down this year.

It comes on the back of a tough 2024 when 13,000 shops closed their doors for good, already a 28% increase on the previous year.

Professor Joshua Bamfield, director of the CRR said: “The results for 2024 show that although the outcomes for store closures overall were not as poor as in either 2020 or 2022, they are still disconcerting, with worse set to come in 2025.”

Professor Bamfield has also warned of a bleak outlook for 2025, predicting that as many as 202,000 jobs could be lost in the sector.

“By increasing both the costs of running stores and the costs on each consumer’s household it is highly likely that we will see retail job losses eclipse the height of the pandemic in 2020.”

‘No, that’s your party’ – Newcastle stars were BANNED from drinking during open top bus parade, reveals Alan Shearer

NEWCASTLE UNITED players were BANNED from drinking during their Carabao Cup celebrations last weekend.

Eddie Howe‘s troops paraded the trophy, which they pipped runaway Prem leaders Liverpool to last month, in front of hundreds of thousands of Geordies last Saturday.

But manager Eddie Howe banned the players from drinking any booze during the celebrations[/caption]

The Magpies were the picture of happiness as they took an open-top bus around the city.

But it was a sober one for the players as Howe didn’t want them nursing prolonged hangovers for their clash with Brentford tomorrow.

Toon legend Alan Shearer revealed on the Rest is Football podcast: “They’ve got Brentford on Wednesday and they trained yesterday.

“They’re training today, they’re training Monday, they’re training Tuesday, and they’re training Wednesday morning as well.

“Because Eddie had taken them to Dubai and he said, ‘No, that’s your party.’

“And they weren’t allowed to drink yesterday or last evening.

“None of them went to the afterparty. He got them back straight in and focused.”

Newcastle‘s capturing of the Carabao Cup ended their 70-year wait for a domestic trophy.

And club legend Shearer was emotional during Saturday’s celebrations as he lamented his late father, Alan Sr, not being able to see the club lift the trophy.

Alan Jr said: “Yeah, unfortunately, my dad passed away last May.

“He was lucky enough to be at the [Inter-Cities Fairs Cup] final in ’69.

“I just wish he could have hung on for one more year just to see and sample this.

“But he would have been watching on and would’ve been as proud as I was.”

Iranian generals demand ‘immediate’ strike on US base on Diego Garcia after Trump vowed ‘there will be bombing’

IRAN’S twisted generals have demanded an “immediate” strike on a US military base in response to Donald Trump’s continued threats to bomb the region.

The US president’s B-2 stealth bomber strike force has already starting massing on the island of Diego Garcia with his team now aimed directly at Iran.

Trump warned Iran on Sunday that there would be “bombing the likes of which they have never seen before” if Iran continues to rejects his nuclear weapons proposal.

The president set a deadline to the Ayatollah to come to the table to discuss the complete disarmament of all nuclear weapons.

He even sent a letter to the supreme leader earlier this month, urging him to negotiate or face the prospect of “terrible” military intervention.

Iran has appeared to have taken the Trump threats seriously.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei responded to Trump’s threats, saying the US would receive a “strong blow” if they decide to act.

The state is now calling for a preemptive strike on the base so America can’t use it to launch strikes of their own, according to a senior Iranian official.

The powerful middle eastern country sits 2,300 miles away from where five US B-2 bombers are said to have been stationed in Diego Garcia.

But Trump’s aircraft posses a whopping range of 6,900 miles and a huge 25 tonne bomb payload per jet.

Satellite images confirmed three of the formidable warplanes as they were spotted lined up inside the site.

The Tehran-based official told The Telegraph: “Top commanders are being urged to launch preemptive strikes on the island and its base if Trump’s threats have become more serious.

“Discussions about the island have intensified since the Americans deployed bombers there.”

Iranian state media has already raised concerns over the reasons for the bombers being sent to the base.

It had been thought the five were aimed at Yemen and the Houthi terror group after Trump launched strikes against them last weekend.

Trump launched a blitz on Houthi rebels in the capital Sanaa in response to the terror group’s attacks on Red Sea shipping.

The Houthis have launched more than 100 attacks since November 2023, claiming they are targeting vessels linked to Israel over the war in Gaza.

But local reports now suggest the bomber’s placement indicates a looming US attack as Diego Garcia would be a key launching point for direct hits on Iranian underground facilities.

The official added that the rumoured impending missile strikes would be fired without “the intent to hit anything”.

They would be aimed towards the base but only impact on the nearby water as a means of sending a clear message to the Americans that “we are serious”.

It comes as Trump has become increasingly frustrated by the Ayatollah‘s refusal to agree to a deadline slapped on him by the American president over a new nuclear deal.

Trump has demanded the Iranian tyrant either sign a new agreement or potentially face military action.

Don gave the supreme leader a two-month deadline and there is now just weeks left.

The president went on a furious rant on Truth Social on Monday as he hit out at Iran and the Houthis.

He wrote: “The Iran-backed Houthi terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks.

“Many of their fighters and leaders are no longer with us. We hit them every day and night — harder and harder.

“Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to freedom of navigation.

“The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you.

“Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran.”

Trump and Iran have history and the US President could be looking to exact revenge for a failed assassination plot in revenge for the killing of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani in 2020.

The President has given his team strict instructions to completely obliterate Iran if they ever assassinate him.

In February, Trump responded to a question over what protocols would instantly be triggered should he be killed by an Iranian plot by saying there is already a plan set.

He said: “I’ve left instructions if they do it, they get obliterated, there won’t be anything left.”

Will Trump strike Iran?

DONALD Trump has made his loathing for Iran clear time and time again.

The US President sparked panic in Iran after he killed Qasem Soleimani in a 2020 airstrike.

Iran appeared to take the idea of assassinating Trump seriously with important figures in the country, like one Iranian spy, saying Trump should be executed.

Two hitmen were arrested as part of an alleged for-hire plot to take out Trump before the November 5 election.

The US President has threatened to blitz the nation and recently gave Iran a chilling two-month deadline to fall into line and strike up a new nuclear agreement.

Trump has also warned Tehran to immediately cease its support for the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

He threatened the nation would face consequences if they rejected a nuclear agreement offer.

Trump said that if a deal wasn’t made, Iran would have to face the US “militarily”.

Gen Z take longest to destress after work, survey finds

MOST Gen Z workers feel the need to decompress after logging off for the day to properly relax and enjoy their evening.

A study of 2000 employed adults found 79 per cent need time after work to decompress, with difficult co-workers, tight deadlines and high work loads being primary reasons.

Gen Z were found to take the longest downtime, with 15 per cent needing more than hour to properly unwind, according to the Miracle-Gro commissioned study.

On the other hand, 28 per cent of Boomers claimed the did not need to at all.

Presenter and gardening enthusiast, Jo Whiley, who partnered with the study, said: “After a busy day, I feel there is no better cure than spending some time outside reconnecting with nature and find that all the stresses melt away when you’re in the garden”.

Whiley is encouraging people to take part in the social trend of ‘Touching Grass’ to help stressed workers refresh and reconnect with the real world.

Going out for a walk, sticking on a favourite TV show, and listening to music were also among the popular ways to unwind after a tough work day.

The study also found 32 per cent of employees experience stress ‘most days’ at work, with 40 per cent thinking about it outside work hours.

Some of these causes of stress included technical issues or failures with systems, as well as workplace politics.

RHS Therapeutic Gardener, Ozichi Brewster, highlights the long-term wellbeing benefits of spending time in nature and having regular exposure to natural light.

“As sentient beings that experience a range of positive and negative feelings we are constantly at risk of being overwhelmed by the conditions we are living in, we need time to rest and reset”.

Spending more time outside has been linked to the release of feel-good hormones like dopamine, serotonin, endorphins and oxytocin, which can boost energy and increase relaxation.

Other methods of unwinding after work included 29 per cent going for a glass of wine or beer, 26 per cent who enjoy sitting in the garden on a sunny evening, and 17 per cent who tend to their plants.

A Miracle-Gro’s spokesperson said: “We all lead busy lives and look for ways to unwind at the end of the day.

“With it proven that spending time gardening can be beneficial for people’s health, we want to encourage people to reconnect with nature by touching grass”.

As many as 11 per cent of working adults have their work-life balance as ‘terrible’ in a OnePoll.com survey.

15 WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS AFTER WORK:

1. Watching a favourite TV show or film
2. Listening to music
3. Going for a walk
4. Spending time with family, friends or pets
5. Taking a hot bath or shower
6. Reading a book
7. Browsing social media
8. Enjoying a glass of wine or a favourite drink
9. Sitting outside in nature
10. Cooking a nice meal
11. Sitting in the garden on a sunny evening
12. Taking a nap
13. Exercising or hitting the gym
14. Gardening or tending to plants
15. Doing a hobby like knitting, art, or model building
