Grand National CONFIRMED runners and riders as 34 go to post for £1million Aintree race
THE final field for the Grand National has officially been set – and this year’s £1million Aintree race looks like being an absolute belter.
Some 34 revved up thoroughbreds will go to post at 4pm on Saturday.

In front of them more than four miles of pristine Aintree turf and 16 fences to be jumped.

The winner will go down in history – the rest might be back to fight another year or admit defeat in their one shot at glory.
Templegate will bring you his big tip for the day – and you can get it before anyone else by joining our Members Enclosure tipping service for just £1 for the first month.
The build-up to this year’s race has had a bit of everything.
Willie Mullins and Bryony Frost sparked a jocking off storm that left Paul Nicholls desperately searching for a jockey.
While the market has been topsy-turvy all week with a load of runners including Iroko, I Am Maximus, Vanillier and Stumptown all being backed into favourite.
But it’s been the opposite story for long-time ante-post fav Intense Raffles, whose price has drifted markedly.
I Am Maximus was 7-1 joint-fav when he won last year and it seems like bookies reckon one at the top of the market – rather than a plucky outsider – will win this year.
We’ll bring you the latest odds once bookies have updated their markets.
Read on for every runner and rider in this year’s race.
