Man Utd ‘in talks to sign Ipswich star Liam Delap but face FIVE-WAY fight’ for former City ace dubbed ‘Kane’s heir’
MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly held internal talks over a potential move for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Portman Road following his £20million move from Manchester City in July.

In 28 Premier League appearances, Delap has scored 10 goals and provided two assists.
And with Ipswich facing relegation back to the Championship at the end of the campaign, he is being tipped for a move away.
The Daily Mail claims that Man Utd are among the clubs interested.
United officials held internal discussions over the potential transfer in recent weeks.
Delap is also being monitored by the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Man City, his former club.
The reigning Prem champions allegedly have a buy-back clause for the striker, while United technical director Jason Wilcox knows him from his time at City’s academy.
Delap, the son of Stoke City icon Rory Delap, joined Derby County‘s academy at the age of six and spent 10 years at the club before moving to Man City.
He made his first team debut in a Carabao Cup clash with Bournemouth in September 2020 and received praise from Pep Guardiola.

But the striker struggled to nail down a regular spot in the starting line-up and was sent on loan to Stoke, Preston and Hull before joining Ipswich permanently.
He is now being lined up for another transfer.
Man Utd are expected to prioritise signing new forward this summer.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled to meet expectations this season.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford could make his Aston Villa loan permanent for £40m at the end of the campaign.
The Red Devils could also find themselves in a tricky situation with Jadon Sancho, who is currently on loan at Chelsea until June.
The Blues have an obligation to buy the winger but could pay a fee of £5m to back out of the deal.
I fell down the stairs and it changed my body forever… I was so scared but I refused to let it ruin my sex life
I saw in Greg positivity, resilience and someone who has experienced the fragility of life and now grabs it with both hands – just like me.
We haven’t looked back since that first date. We see one another most weekends – he’ll drive to London or one of my PAs will drive me to Solihull.
Greg, who volunteers at a rehab facility and is a public speaker, had never been in a relationship with a disabled woman before, so I’ve been his guide in the bedroom.
Together, we’ve brought lots of creativity, experimenting with positions; we’re even thinking about how we can incorporate the hoist I use into our sex life!
With Greg, I feel desired, safe and loved, and it’s wonderful after those years on dating apps to feel this way.
With him, I have unlocked a future filled with laughter, love and, of course, great sex.

Love Island star reveals new boyfriend and move to BALI after quitting the UK for new career worlds away from TV fame
LOVE Island star Amy Day has revealed she has a new boyfriend and has quit the UK for Bali.
The reality star, who appeared on the ITV2 dating series in 2022, has finally found love after a rocky time in the villa.

Amy shared a clip of her boyfriend riding a motorcycle while she clutched tightly onto him from the back.
Amy captioned the video: “Out here trying to live this thing called life.”
She revealed that the pair had enjoyed their first couples holiday to Bali so much that they decided to make the move permanent.
The Love Island star previously opened up on how producers would “manipulate” the islanders.
The Casa Amor bombshell told the Daily Star of life in the Love Island compound, which is new set in a Mallorca villa, and said: “It was quite restricted, so I actually thought it would be a lot more fun than it was.
“Producers would tell you when to do everything like, wake up now, go to bed now, do this now.
“It was more than what I thought before I went in, I wasn’t stupid I went in knowing this is a game show but I thought I’d be able to wake up at 8am and go for a swim, have a coffee.”
Amy entered Casa Amor on day 29 before entering the villa three days later.
Unfortunately she failed to find a connection, despite enjoying a kiss with Hugo Hammond and was dumped from the island on day 38.
Amy revealed she had returned to her day job in luxury real estate shortly after leaving the villa.
She said to New Magazine: “Property is something I’ve done for eight years and returned to three months after appearing on Love Island.
“I’m self-employed so I’ve always been aware of the need to keep working.”
She added: “When I came out of the villa my life was crazy.
“I’d do my 9-5 job then go to an event in the evening.
“I filled my weekends with glam photoshoots which I posted during the week so it looked like I was living my best life, when really I was in the office.”
She has even bagged a promotion, and added: “In February 2022 I started a full time job as a property negotiator.
“It allowed me to buy my own flat and also served as a distraction from the break up I was going through.”
