She told the Mirror: “I didn’t realise how severe my illness was at the time. But the doctors had told my husband, Nick, that had I not got to hospital when I did, had we waited another 24 hours to call for help, I may not be here now.”

Andrea collapsed to the floor in her bathroom prompting a desperate call to paramedics who had to stabilise her dangerously low blood pressure.

She continued: “Our bedroom is in the loft and they couldn’t get the stretcher around the tight bend, but eventually I managed to slide down the stairs, and was rushed to hospital. What happened over the next few weeks changed my life forever.”

Muireann expressed her ‘hatred’ of the blue jeans she was wearing

Muireann took to Instagram to share some snippets of herself getting ready backstage before the show.

The 41-year-old told followers she had to “pull the emergency outfit button” this morning.

The popular presenter revealed her emergency outfit as a pair of blue denim jeans and a pink silk blouse from Aoife Ireland.

The TV star was clearly unimpressed with her look, but more specifically the jeans.

She added in her caption: “As usual, I swear to God I hate these jeans with a thousand suns, but I cannot find a pair that work.

“Any suggestions for light blue jeans for people with round bellies, would love! Where are all the mid rise jeans!”

The Irish host posed in front of the camera and pointed to her jeans mouthing: “I can’t, I just hate them.”

To tie the look together, Muireann wore a pair of bright pink stiletto heels and dainty gold hoop earrings.

Of course, Muireann’s new cropped bob is the main character in all of her most recent TV looks.

The chat show host has been ditching her usual beach waves for a sleek side parting and pin straight look – and we are so here for it.

And it seems Muireann’s fans totally disagreed with her opinion on today’s TV look.

Fiona wrote: “Gorgeous. You are being waaaaay too critical of yourself girlie. You are your own worst critic.”

‘STOP IT’

Olga gushed: “The top and jeans are fab on you. I was admiring it on TV!!”

Daire said: “You look fab in all the outfits.”

Mary added: “This is a beautiful outfit Muireann.”

And Mairead remarked: “Stop it I just love pink on you!!”
