The Down comic was joined by Cheap Irish Homes presenter Maggie Molloy and comedian Kevin McGahern.

The pair were on the show tonight to discuss teaming up for their new show, Cheap European Homes.

The show sees the duo travel around Europe helping home seekers find the best value pad on the continent.

Teaming up with Maggie isn’t Kevin’s first time being a part of a showbiz double act.

Kevin revealed on the show tonight, that early in his career, he and his mum were in a band together, and supported a major act!

With his mum sitting in the audience, Kevin clued in viewers as he explained that he and his mum were in a “ballad group” and sang with Daniel O’Donnell.

He said: “I was in a ballad group with my mother ,fairly rock and roll stuff, years ago.

“And we supported Daniel [O’Donnell]. He used to do some cancer benefit concert in Balina and Cavan every year.

“And I remember he came in, we were all backstage, and there was all of the tea and buns. It was fairly rock and roll with stuff.”

He added: “And I remember Daniel came in, and all the old women were vibrating with excitement. And he came over and sat down beside me, and I went to get up because we were about to go on stage.

“I get up, and he said, ‘Sorry, excuse me. I think you might have sat on something’.

“And I looked down and couldn’t see anything on my a***. I kind of instinctively called for my mommy, as you do, and you’re not sure what’s happening.

“My mother came over, and turned out I had sat on a bun, so there was a bun stuck to my a***.

“My mother came over and sort of spanked the crumbs off my a***, as Daniel O’Donnell watched approvingly. It was definitely, probably my weirdest showbiz story.”

Kielty quipped: “You can catch that moment and more on Cheap European Homes.”

To which, Kevin interjected: “That’s the after dark version.”

Kevin and Maggie will be returning to RTE One this Sunday for the first episode of Cheap European Homes.

St Patrick’s Athletic go top of the Premier Division as stunning Brandon Kavanagh free-kick seals win over Waterford

STEPHEN KENNY’S Saints snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with two goals in the dying minutes in Waterford.

Brandon Kavanagh sealed all three points for the Inchicore side with a stunning free-kick in the fourth minute of injury time to send Pat’s top of the Premier Division.

Six minutes earlier, Blues defender Darragh Leahy put the ball into his own net to hand the visitors a lifeline after they had fallen behind to a first-half header from Blues captain Pádraig Amond.

The deadlock had been broken on the 14th minute when Ryan Burke found space out on the left before crossing for Amond. And the veteran striker headed home from 12 yards. For long periods, it looked as if Amond’s strike was going to be the only goal of the game.

With Waterford doing most of the defending during the first 45 minutes, Kenny could only look on in disbelief when a goalbound effort from Tottenham-bound teen star Mason Melia was brilliantly blocked by Blues defender Grant Horton on 28 minutes.

The six minutes of madness which decided the match began two minutes from the final whistle.

Former Coventry City man Leahy headed into his own net when trying to clear a cross from Kavanagh. But there was still more drama to come.

With the game well into stoppage time, Pat’s midfielder Zach Elbouzedi was fouled by Leahy on the edge of Waterford’s penalty area.

And Kavanagh stepped up to apply the finishing touch from the resulting free-kick, beating Blues keeper Stephen McMullan and giving his side a most unlikely victory on the road.
