[/boxout]
Vomiting
Both Stephen Fry and Boris Johnson have admitted to vomiting while trying to shed weight with the jabs.
Stephen Fry was left vomiting five times a day while taking Ozempic
The 66-year-old QI presenter admitted he was an “early adopter” of the jab and used Ozempic to curb all his food and alcohol cravings.
But he had to stop the injections after becoming violently ill and throwing up.
“I was throwing up four, five times a day and I thought, ‘I can’t do this.’ So that’s it,” the TV star recently admitted.
“The new variant Tirzepatide Mounjaro it’s called makes it even worse apparently,” the Mirror reports.
Boris Johnson admitted to experiencing similar side effects which ultimately also made him ditch the jabs.
“Effortlessly, I pushed aside the puddings and the second helpings. I must have been losing four or five pounds a week – maybe more,” he wrote in the Daily Mail.
However, it wasn’t long until Boris started to “dread” the injections because they were making him feel unwell.
“One minute I would be fine, and the next minute I would be talking to Ralph on the big white phone; and I am afraid that I decided that I couldn’t go on,” he explained.
For now, he is “back to exercise and willpower”.
Boris Johnson ditched fat loss jabs after becoming ill
NASTY SIDE EFFECTS CELEBS WON’T ADMIT
Trout pout
One thing that’s noticeable with people taking the jabs is that features such as their lips can appear more pronounced.
Dr Ed Robinson, who owns his own aesthetic clinic, says: “Ozempic does not increase the size of your lips. However, if you are someone who has had lip filler in the past, if your face gets smaller it will then by contrast make your lips look very overfilled.
“This can disharmonise your face. In those cases, I suggest that patients have their lip filler dissolved as it no longer looks natural on their face.”
Ozempic butt
The term ‘Ozempic butt’ has been circulating online in recent months as fat loss jabs have become more mainstream.
It refers to the butt losing fat at a quick rate – resulting in flat cheeks and sagging skin.
Dr Robinson adds: “Like in the face, a significant amount of our buttocks are made up of fat. Rapid weight loss (as can happen in the face) results in reduction in fat, which can cause tissues to sag.
“This effect is enhanced with age as proteins like collagen and elastin are lost in the skin meaning when the weight is lost, the skin does not have the elasticity to return to its pre-weight gain state.”
Everything you need to know about fat jabs
Weight loss jabs are all the rage as studies and patient stories reveal they help people shed flab at almost unbelievable rates, as well as appearing to reduce the risk of serious diseases.
Wegovy – a modified version of type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic – and Mounjaro are the leading weight loss injections used in the UK.
Wegovy, real name semaglutide, has been used on the NHS for years while Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a newer and more powerful addition to the market.
Mounjaro accounts for most private prescriptions for weight loss and is set to join Wegovy as an NHS staple this year.
How do they work?
The jabs work by suppressing your appetite, making you eat less so your body burns fat for energy instead and you lose weight.
They do this my mimicking a hormone called GLP-1, which signals to the brain when the stomach is full, so the drugs are officially called GLP-1 receptor agonists.
They slow down digestion and increase insulin production, lowering blood sugar, which is why they were first developed to treat type 2 diabetes in which patients’ sugar levels are too high.
Can I get them?
NHS prescriptions of weight loss drugs, mainly Wegovy and an older version called Saxenda (chemical name liraglutide), are controlled through specialist weight loss clinics.
Typically a patient will have to have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, classifying them as medically obese, and also have a weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure.
GPs generally do not prescribe the drugs for weight loss.
Private prescribers offer the jabs, most commonly Mounjaro, to anyone who is obese (BMI of 30+) or overweight (BMI 25-30) with a weight-related health risk.
Private pharmacies have been rapped for handing them out too easily and video calls or face-to-face appointments are now mandatory to check a patient is being truthful about their size and health.
Are there any risks?
Yes – side effects are common but most are relatively mild.
Around half of people taking the drug experience gut issues, including sickness, bloating, acid reflux, constipation and diarrhoea.
Dr Sarah Jarvis, GP and clinical consultant at patient.info, said: “One of the more uncommon side effects is severe acute pancreatitis, which is extremely painful and happens to one in 500 people.”
Other uncommon side effects include altered taste, kidney problems, allergic reactions, gallbladder problems and hypoglycemia.
Evidence has so far been inconclusive about whether the injections are damaging to patients’ mental health.
Figures obtained by The Sun show that, up to January 2025, 85 patient deaths in the UK were suspected to be linked to the medicines.
Sunken eyes
Yet another side effect from the fat-busting jabs is sunken under eyes.
This is largely due to the rapid fat loss in that area which can dissolve the fat pads below the eyes giving a more youthful appearance.
Dr Ed Robinson explains: “If you use Ozempic, and you experience rapid weight loss, this process is accelerated. If you are a peri-menopausal or menopausal woman, you are also losing hormones (oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone) which are very important in terms of maintaining these fat pads.
“When you add Ozempic to the mix, it quite dramatically accelerates these cosmetic changes (explaining the sunken eyes).”
Ozempic neck
Dr Robinson says one of the negatives to losing weight quickly is getting a ‘saggy neck’.
“Fat is very important for maintaining the youth in your skin and the fat pads, which are tightly packed in your face, split apart as you get older and then some increase in size and they move down the face with gravity,” says Dr Robinson.
“They flop over various ligaments, increasing the signs of ageing.
“Medications which alter fat balance in the neck causes this increase of sagging which is now known as Ozempic Neck.”
Hair loss
While hair loss itself is not considered a side effect of taking fat loss jabs like Ozempic, it can be caused by significant and quick weight loss of any kind.
Rapid weight loss of any kind can lead to telogen effluvium, excessive hair shedding, which can be caused by stress on the body and any quick changes to the body such as weight loss or even childbirth.
Trichologist Deborah Maguire explains: “When the body experiences a calorie deficit, it reallocates nutrients to sustain essential organs, often leaving hair follicles deprived.
“Weight loss medications like Ozempic that suppress the appetite, mean individuals may not consume enough of the key nutrients required to support healthy hair growth.
“Hair growth relies on a steady supply of vitamins and minerals. When your intake drops significantly or becomes unbalanced, hair follicles can enter a resting phase, leading to excessive shedding.”
Bulldog cheeks
One of the key signs of the fat loss jabs is sagging cheeks due to the loss of fat, also known as ‘bulldog cheeks’.
Dr Robinson says: “When the fat pads drop down your face, this can cause jowls to develop in the lower part of your face.
“Losing fat lessens the mid-face support from fat pads which gives this sagging, bulldog-like appearance.”

GettyAJ has been told a fight with Jake Paul is even bigger than Tyson Fury[/caption]
And Paul’s promotional and business partner Nakisa Bidarian argued there is no bigger bout for Joshua globally – including his greatest rival Fury.
Bidarian told SunSport: “Ultimately Jake versus Joshua is three, four or five times bigger than Joshua versus Fury, easily. Not in the UK, the UK I think they’re similar.
“But on a global basis, it’s not even in the realm of the same conversation in terms of magnitude, scale, reach, interest, viewership, it would just blow it away.
“Joshua and Fury are not relevant in the US, meaning the hardcore boxing community will pay attention, but it’s not a moment where mainstream culture stops and pays attention to it.
“In the UK, absolutely but you’ll have that with Jake and Joshua as well.”
Joshua looked to quite literally call Paul’s bluff as he phoned up the American after his viral callout.
Bidarian said: “I won’t get into what they discussed, but yes, I’m fully aware of the multiple conversations they’ve had and a desire to fight each other in 2026.
CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS
“I saw Eddie Hearn made a comment around ‘Why 2026? Why not in 2025? It’s just clickbait.’ No, it’s not clickbait.
“Jake realises he needs some more in-ring experience to be in the best position to hold his own against Anthony Joshua. So we’re not rushing into a fight against Joshua.
“We’re not financially dependent on Jake having a fight against Anthony Joshua for 2025 for our business to flourish.
“We’re gonna do at least two Jake Paul fights in 2025, and then we’ll definitely sit down with the appropriate parties to look at Jake Paul versus Anthony Joshua in 2026.”
Paul is now closing in on announcing what will be the first of two bouts in 2025 before a further three are targeted for next year.
And Bidarian – co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions alongside Paul – named Joshua and Canelo as opponents on the wish-list.

Jake Paul's promotional partner Nakisa Bidarian
He said: “I think it’s 100 per cent a realistic fight. Jake hasn’t been in the ring with someone that has the power that Joshua has in this current time.
“Mike Tyson, much more devastating knockout artist than Anthony Joshua in his career, but the Mike Tyson that Jake fought wasn’t that same Mike Tyson, obviously.
“So Jake has to get to a point where he feels confident that he can take those types of punches from someone like Joshua.
“I know from Jake’s perspective, he doesn’t believe that Joshua will land, but you have to be prepared that he does land and how do you deal with that.
“But that’s what makes it exciting. I mean, yes, Joshua is a much bigger man in terms of height and reach than Mike Tyson.
“And that will possess its own challenges for Jake Paul, but Jake doesn’t say something if he doesn’t feel confident about it.
“He’s been pretty clear, he doesn’t want to fight David Benavidez. He doesn’t believe he can beat David Benavidez in any time frame of his career, but he wants to fight Canelo Alvarez, he wants to fight Anthony Joshua.
“Those are two names that he’s dead set on and feels very good about.”
Joshua and Paul both took to social media to show on their phone call – but pleasantries could soon be traded for punches.
He said: “I don’t think there’s any animosity at this point in time between the two of them.
“But I’m sure if the fight is made and Jake is Jake, there will be lots of animosity between them. And we would look forward to that.”

ReutersLuke Littler bagged £500,000 for winning the world title in January[/caption]
Price, 40, landed his second Players Championship title of the year on Monday in Leicester.
But he was not impressed by the PDC’s decision to increase prize money at the World Championships.
The winner of next year’s event will pocket £1million, up from £500,000.
Luke Littler, 18, won his maiden title in January and walked away with the giant cheque.
Price is concerned the huge sum on offer will skew the Order of Merit rankings.
The Welshman argued: “It’s only one tournament heavy.
“As bad as my last year has been, even though I’ve started well this year, I could go on to win the World Championship and be world number one.”
Luke Humphries, the 2023 world champion, currently holds top spot in the world rankings.
He added: “They’ve upped the Worlds [money], but they need to up everything else.
“Otherwise, they need to change the points.
“It’s not fair if someone wins the Worlds and they are world number one for two years.
“I will happily have the million. But they need to change the ranking points.”

2 hours agoViral XComments Off on Kerry locals ‘very hopeful’ as Defence Forces troops join search for missing farmer Michael Gaine amid ‘no answers’ pain
THE arrival of the Defence Forces to Kenmare to aid in the search for missing Michael Gaine has renewed hope in the area, locals have said.
The 56-year-old was captured on CCTV buying phone credit from Centra in Kenmare town and left in his bronze RAV4.
The vehicle was discovered on Michael’s farmyard just off the N71 at Carrig East, with personal belongings such as his wallet being discovered in the car.
Extensive searches kicked off on March 21 after Michael failed to make contact with family or friends.
And despite checkpoints being put in place across Kenmare as gardai attempted to jog the memory of locals, no trace of Michael has been found.
Now, 50 soldiers from the troops of the 12th Infantry Battalion in Limerick and the 3rd Infantry Battalion in Kilkenny have been deployed to Kerry to help in searches.
In a fresh information appeal Gardai said today the experienced personnel are required to search “rough, open ground and at higher altitude”.
They said: “An Garda Siochana has continued to carry out enquiries in the Kenmare locality and searches continued to be carried out over the weekend supported by other state and voluntary agencies in our ongoing efforts to locate Michael.
“Commencing today, Irish Defence Forces personnel will be assisting An Garda Siochana.
“Up to 50 members combined from the 12th Infantry Battalion, Limerick and the 3rd Infantry Battalion, Kilkenny will assist An Garda Siochana in searches on open lands over the coming days.
“These lands are rough, open ground and at higher altitude and the experience and discipline of trained personnel is appropriate to assist in carrying out these searches.
“An Garda Siochana wishes to thank members of the public who have assisted in searches previously. An Garda Siochana is not requesting the assistance of the general public for further searches, at this time.”
Fine Gael Councillor and Kenmare local Teddy O’Sullivan Casey told The Irish Sun today that while the town is “in bits” the arrival of the Defence Forces has brought a “certain amount of hope”.
He told us: “There would be a certain amount of hope, I suppose.
“That’s all we have to live in at the moment, is hope. We would be very hopeful that it would turn up something.”
Teddy continued: “The town is in bits altogether. Everyone is talking about it of course and wondering what happened.
“It’s very hard at the minute when no answers are coming.”
Slurry tanks on Michael’s farm have been emptied and searched alongside farm outbuildings whilst digs on the land have been carried out.
The Garda Sub Aqua Unit arrived last week to search a number of water locations around Kenmare, Moll’s Gap and the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks and a disused quarry just a few kilometres from Michael’s home was also probed.
And boats from Kenmare Pier were out searching over the weekend.
It’s gone on and on now, it’s nearly two weeks now, as every day goes by it gets more concerning”.
Councillor Teddy O'Sullivan Casey
In a fresh appeal today Gardai are appealing to anyone who was travelling on the N71 on Thursday 20 March, after 9.48am to make contact with them.
They are also requesting CCTV, dash-cam footage, videos or images from Moll’s Gap on that same day.
In a new statement a garda spokesperson said: “Gardai continue to appeal to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 56-year-old Michael Gaine who was reported missing from his home near Kenmare, Co. Kerry on Friday 21st March 2025.
“Michael was last seen in Kenmare town on Thursday 20th March 2025.
“Michael bought phone credit in Centra, Kenmare at 9.48am. Michael then left in his bronze coloured RAV4 registration 152 KY 366. This vehicle was found parked in Michael Gaine’s farmyard, just off the N71 at Carrig East.
“Michael’s family have had no contact from him and his family and An Garda Siochana are extremely concerned for his well-being. Michael is described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build, brown/grey hair and a bushy beard.
“When last seen, Michael was wearing an orange woolly hat, black fleece, blue jeans and black boots.”
‘BE VIGILANT’
They added: “Gardai continue to want to speak to any person who travelled on the N71 on Thursday 20th March, after 09:48am and/ or any person who may have any camera footage, including dash-cam or CCTV, or any other images (video or still) from Thursday 20th March and Friday 21st March in the Kenmare town / Moll’s Gap (N71/ R568) area to provide that imagery to the Garda investigation team.
“Anyone with information on Michael’s whereabouts is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 667 1160, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
Councillor O’Sullivan Casey echoed the Garda appeal, almost two weeks after Michael was last seen.
He told us today: “The appeal all along was for the dash-cam footage and any other information to be provided to the guards.
“The appeal now, I suppose, would be to keep hoping, hopefully, that something would happen in the next couple of days, that there would be hopefully some developments.
“It’s gone on and on now, it’s nearly two weeks now, as every day goes by it gets more concerning, you know.”
The local man continued his appeal asking the public “just to be vigilant”.
Teddy said: “Even if they do remember something, even two weeks later, to come forward, you know. Even if they don’t think it’s important, it might be important to the guards.”

QuestJohnny Vegas has landed an exciting new series where he will open up an Antiques shop[/caption]
The exciting new series has been announced as Johnny Vegas‘ Little Shop Of Antiques.
It will consist of eight one hour episodes that will follow the comedian opening up a new antiques show in the North West.
Viewers are promised access to a side of the TV personality never seen before.
The blurb explains: “As he investigates, hunts and repairs pieces to add to his collection, he strives to make enough profit in his new shop to turn it into a permanent business.
“With taste as eclectic as his personality, there will be hilarious disasters, unusual finds and touching moments as he attempts to turn his ramshackle dream into a reality.”
Speaking of his new role Johnny said: “Finally after a lifetime of collecting the eclectic, the antique, bits of everything.
“I’m out buying, hopefully trading, and I think it’s going to be an exciting ride.”
The series is made by Plum Pictures, the same production company that worked with Johnny on his Channel 4 series Carry On Glamping.
It’s a far cry from his character Geoff “The Oracle” Maltby on the comedy show Benidorm.
Johnny left the series in 2010 after a reported falling out with the show creator – which they both denied – but he returned to the role in 2015.
Benidorm ran for ten hilarious series but fans were sad to see the holiday come to an end when it was axed, in 2018.
It followed holidaymakers who spent a week at the Solana Resort Benidorm, Spain.
Some higher-class people who came to the Solana were not satisfied with its facilities or the holidaymakers who go there, though others enjoyed themselves, mostly due to the fact that it was all-inclusive.
Most recently, Johnny has starred in Blood Actually, a 2023 murder mystery spoof and also had his own channel 4 show Carry On Glamping.
In the four-part series Johnny set out to open his very own glamping site and travelled around the UK in his camper van, named Patricia after his mother.
Johnny has also been a regular guest panellist on the television comedy panel shows QI and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Johnny Vegas’ Little Shop Of Antiques will air on Quest in July 2025.
