King Charles health update after hospital stint for cancer treatment side effects saw string of engagements cancelled

KING Charles has had a “restful” weekend after his hospital drama and is returning to work this week.

Charles, 76, who pulled out a string of engagements due to side effects caused by his cancer treatment, had retired to his country home Highgrove.

Palace aides today say the King is preparing for a “usual working week”.

But some appointments have been postponed ahead of next week’s State Visit to Italy.

He will be seen back at work tomorrow with an investiture at Windsor Castle.

On Wednesday, he will hold meetings at Buckingham Palace and attend his regular meeting with the Prime Minister.

Then on Thursday, exactly a week after his unscheduled visit to The London Clinic, he will return to public duty with engagements in London and Windsor, the palace says.

He will also host credentials with three foreign ambassadors.

And on Friday prepare for next week’s four day trip to Italy with Camilla.

However “one or two” appointments have been rescheduled to “ensure an appropriate balance” ahead of the State Visit.

The King has been having treatment for cancer for more than a year.

He visited hospital last Thursday after side effects from his treatment and pulled out of meetings with ambassadors and day of engagements in Birmingham.

The actor, who plays Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, flashed a beaming smile while joined by series winner David Potts, Bradley Riches and his fiance Scott Johnston.

Bradley posted a heartwarming selfie to his Instagram Stories, writing: “Best evening at @colsonjsmith’s.”

Colson went public with Taylor during the CBB final when they reunited after his time in the house.

The Sun previously revealed how Colson and Taylor have been dating for some time.

It’s also been reported that the beauty guru lived in his Manchester home while he featured on the reality show.

An insider said: “Colson and Taylor are really happy together.

“He is a private person, but it felt like the right time to share the romance.

“The pair mix in the same circles and are said to have met while out.

“Taylor is a make-up artist but also a wedding and events coordinator at Manchester Hall, where the Corrie cast often hosts parties.

“Colson’s mum really loves her and it looks like they will be ready to make the next step and properly move in together any day now.”

Taylor grew close to Nikita Kuzmin’s girlfriend Lauren Jaine during the process.

The couples are believed to be planning a series of double dates now the show is over.

Jodie Marsh strips topless for sexy bed selfie as she relaunches glamour career after saying she’s ‘fat but happy’

JODIE Marsh gave her fans a treat this weekend when she shared some sexy home selfies.

The glamour girl, 46, has recently relaunched her modelling career on OnlyFans and shared a taster of the sizzling material.

Jodie, 46, has swapped her glamour model lifestyle for the running of an animal sanctuary[/caption]

In one shot, Jodie stripped topless on her bed and covered her boobs with an arm as she gazed into the camera.

Another saw her seductively kicking back and raising her legs in the air in a bikini and long socks.

In a third, she knelt on the bed in a see-through lilac bodysuit and colourful heels as her long platinum hair fell to one side.

Alongside the collection of snaps, Jodie wrote: “Gooooooooood morning !! It’s going to be a great day.”

And it certainly was for her followers.

One commented: “My favourite woman always gets me heart and soul definitely very strong powerful woman.”

Another said: “Good morning Miss Marsh as always cracking pictures.”

A third wrote: “Looking absolutely stunning as always babe.”

The former Page 3 girl has traded her hard partying lifestyle for hands on work at her own animal sanctuary in Essex.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Jodie called referred to herself as a farm girl and a “mess”. In a further self-deprecating comment, she added that she was “fat but happier than ever”.

Despite her contentment, she lives with “anxiety/depression, aches and pains” and is using CBD oil to improve her daily wellbeing.

The model-turned-bodybuilder- who put her huge country pile on the market last year – said of her current day look: “You might recognise me as someone that used to be glamorous, sexy, a bodybuilder and everything else, but now I’m just a farm girl and I look a mess.”

Jodie, who built up her sanctuary Fripps Farm with ponies, swans and a parrot, added: “The reason I’m now fat and haven’t got a six pack is because I don’t have time to eat properly or even do the food shopping. Not ever.

“I used to cook healthy meals and don’t have time for that anymore.

“I don’t gym at the moment either. I don’t have time. It’s manic.”

Yet the star, who did doll up for NYE in a striking cut-out gown, has gushed she is “happier than ever” with her life choices.

She recently joked with her Instagram fans how she is “either a sex bomb or a hobo. There’s no in between!”

Her sanctuary recently became a CIC (Community Interest Company), which is similar to having charity status, and means it is officially recognised as being a “service to the community,” and can receive donations and help with funding.

It now has more than 600 animals, including “loads and loads of ducks,” more than 20 equines, meerkats, skunks and a lot more exotic animals.

“It’s wonderful here,” Jodie told The Sun.

“It is like paradise, it is like heaven on Earth. It is a proper, proper animal sanctuary.”

The sanctuary isn’t without its stresses though, and animal-lover Jodie recently went to court after attempting to adopt eight lemurs at the sanctuary.

The case was adjourned to later this year.

He survived a knockdown earlier in the round but was rendered unconscious by a perfectly placed hook from his cruiserweight rival.

And worryingly, he started experiencing convulsions seconds after he hit the canvas.

Taylor lay on the floor for several minutes, sparking serious concern for his well-being.

But fans in attendance at Planet Ice Altrincham let out a huge sigh of relief when he rose to his feet and left the ring to receive further medical attention.

BKFC further allayed fears over Taylor’s health by revealing he was making a steady recovery.

Northern Irishman Cooke was ecstatic in the immediate aftermath of his ferocious stoppage.

But his ecstasy soon turned to concern for his fallen foe, so much so that he didn’t want to celebrate his viral stoppage.

He told talkSPORT: “I was f***ing very emotional to be honest. Like I say, I fight for my boys.

“My boys are home now watching me. I’d hate for my son to watch me lose like that.

“It was all going through my head and I got very emotional. I didn’t want to celebrate the win.

“Even though it’s a huge win for me. But at the end of the day, the man’s got family. The man’s got loved ones.

“I don’t know if he’s got children or not, but it’s not nice to watch that.

“I don’t give a f**k what anybody says. We’re bad men. We’ve got hearts.

“It’s the worst part of sport.

“But we’re still humans, and I would hate to watch any man go out that way…

“You don’t want to go out like that.

“You want to go out with your hand raised, not in a stretcher. It’s not nice, no matter what.”

‘I didn’t think I’d make it – Stuart Pearce recalls harrowing brush with death as partner thought ‘he’d pegged it’

STUART PEARCE didn’t think he would “make it” and his partner believed “he’d pegged it” during his horrendous aeroplane health scare.

The ex-England defender, 62, needed his heart restarting after his horror scare at 30,000ft.

SunSport revealed the football legend fell ill during a flight from Las Vegas to Heathrow.

Pearce needed emergency medical treatment on the plane from first aiders and the flight was diverted to Newfoundland, Canada so he could be taken to hospital, where he was kept in for eight days.

He has made a full recovery from the virus that affected his heart and returned to talkSPORT commentary duties for England’s win over Albania last Friday.

And now he has appeared on This Morning to relive his ordeal – and be reunited with the woman who helped save his life.

Pearce said: “At the airport my chest felt a little bit tight, a little heavy.

“It felt like someone was sat on my chest and tried to sleep it off.

“But after a couple of hours, and I should have picked my wording better, I said to Carol, ‘I don’t think I’m going to make Heathrow.’

“I meant without telling the cabin crew. Carol thought, ‘He’s pegged it. He’s done.’

“I was in and out of consciousness. I can’t speak highly enough of the crew. I thought an aeroplane was the worst place in the world to fall ill.

“We can only as a pair say thank you very much. The professionalism was brilliant.”

Pearce started wincing in pain in the economy section on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamline during the Virgin Atlantic Flight VS156 after attending the rugby league clash between Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors in Vegas.

His wife Carol was alongside him during the worrying scenes as staff checked on him, gave him oxygen and hooked him up to an ECG machine.

The cabin crew was in constant contact with a doctor, who monitored the readings on the ground.

His resting heart rate was 155bpm and before flying for hours over sea, it was decided to land the plane in Newfoundland so he could receive specialist treatment.

Pearce watched Forest’s 1-0 win over Manchester City from the hospital, including the fans’ tribute for him at the City Ground.

The remaining 225 passengers arrived at Heathrow six hours later than scheduled – but Carol was scared her man would never make it back home.

Sat alongside Pearce in the ITV studio, she said: “It was very unusual [for him to make a fuss about his health].

Illustration of a flight path map showing a diverted flight from Las Vegas to St. John's, Canada.

“Other than man flu which is clearly a huge deal, for him to say he was in pain, that immediately made my blood run cold because you think this is serious.

“Stuart doesn’t do being ill, doesn’t do pain.

“He once played with a broken leg.”

Zoe Anderson was leading the cabin crew on the Virgin flight and kept her composure to ensure Pearce got the help he needed.

That even included giving them a care package with blankets as they got off the plane as the temperature in Canada was -11C – compared to 23C in Las Vegas.

Stuart and Carol were joined by Anderson live on ITV as the Virgin staff member recalled the decision-making process in the air.

Anderson said: “We are trained to deal with these situations – we are prepared. I did an initial assessment.

“He said his pain was an eight out of ten so that rang some alarm bells.

“We took a few different readings and they were all abnormal so we didn’t want to be over the Atlantic.”
