The little-known reason the bathroom is the dustiest room in your house & the supermarket buy that’s making it worse

[/boxout]

“The rest of the house doesn’t get anywhere near the amount of dust!”

“Wait. What? The dust in my bathroom is from the toilet paper?!?” a third questioned.

“Yep most likely,” Victoria replied.

“It’s all micro toilet paper!”

“OMG. I knew I wasn’t crazy!” someone else laughed.

“My bathroom was always dusty literally a day after I cleaned it.”

However, others insisted it’s nothing to do with the Kirkland brand – and it’s an issue every manufacturer faces.

“It’s most toilet paper,” one wrote.

“The amount of dust that it creates is crazy.

“I don’t remember seeing toilet paper dust when I was kid!”

“All toilet paper does this. It’s so bad now,” another agreed.

“I never remember having this issue before but our bathroom is covered in this dust from it no matter what kind we use and I hate it.”

“I work in the industry,” a third weighed in.

“You have two options… soft and dusty, or rough and strong and less dusty!”

‘Flatpack’ tiny home with TWO storeys goes for sale for less than £9k – and it could be with you in just 3 weeks

A TWO-STOREY home has gone up for sale at just shy of £9,000 and it’s fully customisable.

The prefabricated home is built off-site and assembled on-site – just like your flat pack furniture.

According to the manufacturers, users can construct the home quickly without professional knowledge[/caption]

The tiny home measures just 20ft by 40ft, but it is still able to accommodate a kitchen, living room and bathroom.

And it only weighs 3,000 pounds – compared to the average 80,000-160,000 pound house.

Made from alloy steel, using environmentally-friendly materials and energy-saving design, reduces the impact on the environment, reported Luxury Property News.

The listing describes it as “suitable for cities or rural areas” and describes its modern and simple appearance.

And the best part? You’re not tied into one area.

The home, selling for £8,921.70, is flexible, portable and quick to build.

It has also been described as lightweight and easy to transport.

The buyer can decide the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and even balconies – though the price will change depending on extras.

According to the manufacturers, users can construct the home quickly without professional knowledge and adapt it to a variety of living scenarios.

There are no solicitor fees, stressful paperwork or waiting months for completion.

And it is suitable for full-time living as well as a holiday home, office or guest accommodation.

They are currently in stock and, if purchased now, they will be delivered within three weeks.

Given the national average house price in the UK was reported at £264,500 in 2024, it could be an affordable alternative.

Of course, you could use the home to earn some extra cash, if you rent it out, or it could be an extra bedroom for friends and family.

Alternatively it could be used as an office or gym in your garden.

Tiny homes in the UK have boomed in popularity in recent years and typically range from 100 to 400 square feet in size.

Prices vary, but a basic tiny home can cost between £5,000 and £80,000, depending on size, materials, and whether it’s custom-built.

If a tiny home is on wheels, it may be classified as a caravan under UK law, meaning it might not require traditional planning permission.

Haribo to open first ever store in Scotland at major shopping centre

The creators of Starmix and Tangfastics have announced today that they will be opening their 12th UK shop in Glasgow.

Sweet-toothed visitors to their most northern shop will be able to immerse themselves in the happy world of HARIBO, which will feature its much-loved products, exclusive merchandise, and fun photo opportunities.

The store promises to be a sweet escape for children and adults alike, inviting everyone to embrace their inner child.

Visitors will have the chance to explore over 30 varieties of HARIBO and MAOAM sweets at the exclusive “Pick Your Mix” station.

Shoppers can indulge in iconic favourites such as Supermix, Giant Strawbs, and MAOAM Stripes, alongside the latest addition to the HARIBO range: HARIBO Nostalgix.

This new collection of soft jelly treats is inspired by classic hard-boiled sweets, featuring nostalgic flavours like Rhubarb & Custard, Pear Drops, Pineapple, and Cola Cubes.

The new store, located at the city’s Silverburn Shopping Centre, will also offer shoppers the opportunity to purchase unique and exciting flavours from around the globe when it opens later this year.

Highlights include HARIBO Favoritos and Watermelon from Spain, HARIBO Dragibus and Tagada from France, and HARIBO liquorice Schnecken from Germany.

Adding to the excitement, fans will be able to purchase exclusive HARIBO merchandise and gifts, perfect for sharing moments of joy with loved ones.

This isn’t the first time HARIBO UK has embraced its Scottish side.

Last year, the company launched a Kids’ Voices TV advert featuring two fishermen enjoying a bag of Starmix while sitting by a loch – with a certain iconic monster lurking in the background!

Announcing the new store, Rebecca Fox, Head of Retail at HARIBO UK, said: “We’re so excited to be opening our first HARIBO retail store in Scotland.

“It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while, so it’s a dream come true to share the news with our fans – especially those based in Scotland!

“We can’t wait for our Goldbear mascot to cut the ribbon at Silverburn and officially open the store.”

David Pierotti, General Manager of Silverburn, added: “We’re thrilled to bring the happy world of HARIBO to our guests when Scotland’s first HARIBO store opens here at Silverburn later this year.

“With its ‘Pick Your Mix’ station and exotic range of sweets, this exciting addition will bring a fresh flavour to our ever-growing retail, leisure, and dining offering. It’s sure to be a real treat for our visitors.”

HARIBO fans were left gob-smacked last year after discovering the true meaning behind the brand’s name.

Founded in 1920 by Hans Riegel in Bonn, Germany, the name “HARIBO” is an acronym formed from the first two letters of “Hans,” “Riegel,” and “Bonn.”

Hans launched the company as a kitchen-side hustle, relying on humble assets such as a stool, stove, copper pot, rolling pin, and marble slab.

HARIBO’s first employee was his wife, Gertrud, whom he hired in 1921.

The brand quickly gained popularity, with early fans including renowned physicist Albert Einstein and former German monarch Kaiser Wilhelm II, who even had gummy bears delivered to him while in exile.

It also emerged that HARIBO lovers were surprised to learn the real flavour of the brand’s green gummy bears.

HARIBO’s key ranges in the UK include Starmix, Tangfastics, Supermix, and MAOAM.

While many assume they are apple or lime-flavoured, attentive readers of the packaging discovered they are, in fact, strawberry.

HARIBO Goldbears come in five flavours: orange, strawberry, pineapple, lemon, and raspberry.

West Ham chair David Gold’s enormous will revealed with his daughter to get it all after his death aged 86

FORMER West Ham chairman David Gold’s enormous will has been revealed.

Probate has now been granted to his daughter Vanessa Young to administer the estate of the ex Hammers’ joint owner – which totalled more than £137million.

Mr Gold was initially thought to have died “intestate” in January 2023 with no instructions on how his fortune should be split.

But fresh documents now reveal a will was actually made in August 2021 outlining his final wishes.

The will includes details of how to deal with his family’s trust fund – and the right to sell his stake in West Ham United.

It gave a gross value of his estate in the UK as £137,241,336 – with a net value of £127,529,095.

Daughter Vanessa was named as the executor and trustee.

And the will also stated those in charge of his estate could “sell all or any” of its assets they deem “appropriate” – including his 25.1 per cent stake in West Ham.

In a document published last week, the grant of probate outlined: “The last will and testament of David Gold is proved and registered before the High Court of Justice.

“The Administration of David Gold’s estate is granted by this court to the following Executor – Vanessa Julia Young.”

Mr Gold’s other daughter Jacqueline Gold died in March 2023 after a seven year battle with breast cancer – leaving Vanessa as the sole administrator of his fortune.

In his will, Mr Gold wrote: “I appoint my daughters JACQUELINE GOLD (Jacqueline) VANESSA JULIA YOUNG (Vanessa) to be the executors and trustees of this Will.

“I give my trustees all my personal possessions with a request to distribute them according to the latest wishes I have expressed in any note left with my papers at my death.”

Beneficies of the trust listed on his will included his two daughters, his two son-in-laws, a granddaughter and his partner.

Mr Gold also left a series of legacies free of inheritance tax including £100k to his sister Marie Mould, £50k each to two named individuals, and £25k each to two others.

Some of the awards were conditional on the benefactors remaining as employees at the time of his death.

Mr Gold also outlined in his will that his trustees must hold his estate on trust.

He added: “They may sell all or any of the assets in my estate as they consider appropriate.”

Before the will was discovered, a letter of administration was granted by the High Court of Justice to Vanessa.

It added that the “Ad Colligenda Bona grant” is “limited for the purposes only of collecting in and receiving the estate and doing such acts as may be necessary to preserve and protect the shareholdings of the deceased in WH Holdings Ltd, GGIH Holdings lTD and Goddington Manor Management Ltd, to include for the avoidance of doubt the right to sell the said shares and to sell (his main home) and until further representation be granted.

“The application has stated the gross value of the estate in the United Kingdom amounts to £130M and the net value amounts to £125M.”

Pablo Lopez gives Twins lineup a chance to shine vs White Sox

The Minnesota Twins entered Wednesday’s series finale against the Chicago White Sox stuck in a frustrating early-season funk—and then, the rain came.
