Danny Jones’ wife Georgia bags HUGE job with five figure payday and ‘doesn’t want to be victim’ after Maura Higgins kiss

AFTER returning to work for the first time since Danny Jones’ kiss with Maura Higgins – the future is looking bright for Georgia Horsley.

And now The Sun can reveal the model has signed a new deal with property competition company Omaze to star in their ads.

Georgia, 38, has already filmed her scenes for the telly commercials which will air later this year.

Pals said she was keen to press ahead with her career and did not want to be seen as a “victim”.

An insider said: “Georgia has her head back in work and this year is already shaping up to be very exciting.

“She has signed a new deal with Omaze to be one of their on-screen presenters.

“Georgia is refusing to be seen as a victim and after everything that happened she wants to crack on and get back out there.

“She has already done some filming for them and couldn’t be more excited about what doors this job could open.”

Earlier today The Sun revealed pictures of Georgia after finishing up her first podcast since Danny’s kiss with Maura – which plunged their marriage into crisis.

She was supported by her sister Lauren Jackson after recording for her Mum’s The Word! series.

Georgia’s last appearance on the podcast was March 3, which was released before the news of her husband’s kiss with Maura made headlines.

The following week, Georgia did not appear in the March 10 episode of Mum’s The Word! With Georgia Jones & Kelsey Parker, with Kelsey hosting solo.

DRUNK KISS FALLOUT

Previously, The Sun was first to report how mum of one Georgia had been targeted by a huge reality TV series after Danny’s drunken kiss.

It came after she was reportedly “furious” at the way the Star Girl singer had handled the aftermath of the scandal.

Georgia packed her bags after Danny and Maura were filmed looking close at a glitzy Brits after-party in London last month.

The pair, who took part in the same series of I’m A Celeb, then travelled separately to the five-star Nobu Hotel for more drinks and appeared to share a drunken kiss.

McFly's Danny Jones and wife Georgia Horsley - Love Story

MCFLY singer Danny Jones and his wife Georgia Horsley's romance is at the centre of attention after his drunken kiss with Love Island alum Maura Higgins. Yet when did they meet?

Danny began a relationship with model Georgia back in 2010.

He had been going out with his now-wife for four years when he proposed to her in Cyprus in 2013.

They married the following August in her hometown of Malton, North Yorks, in a ceremony which featured musical performances by McBusted and Ellie Goulding.

Danny and Georgia welcomed a baby boy called Cooper Alf Jones on January 27, 2018.

Yet The Sun then reported how Georgia had moved back in to the family home after spending some time with a friend.

Adam Devine ‘told he is dying by doctor’ after horrifying injuries from being hit by a cement truck as a child

ADAM Devine has opened up about the impact of being hit by a cement truck as a child, and how he was told he was dying recently.

The comedian and star of Pitch Perfect, 41, was hit by a cement truck as a child.

And even in his forties, Adam is still suffering the impacts from the injury.

He was even recently told by a doctor that he may be dying.

Speaking on the In Depth podcast, Adam told Graham Bensinger that his life has recently “been a nightmare”.

He explained that the tough three years he has endured left him “having spasms all over”.

Adam also shared how he now experiences “so much pain”.

Speaking to Graham, Adam shared: “They told me I was dying.

“Literally within this last year they told me that I had this disease called stiff person syndrome.

“That’s when your muscles get so tight that you then you can no longer walk you can no longer move, then your heart will stop beating, because your heart is a muscle and it gets too tight to beat and then you die,” he explained.

LIFE EXPECTANCY SHOCK

He added: “And so essentially they the average life expectancy is six years for someone that has it.

“And they told me that I have that literally a month before my son Beau was born.

“So I’m like ‘Oh great now I’m going to die he’s going to be 6 years old he’s only going to know a crippled father.’

“And then they told me ‘We think you might not have that’. And then six months go by,” Adam went on, revealing how he “couldn’t really move anymore”.

He then recalled how the doctors said: “We do we actually think you have it, go see the the guy that coined the phrase stiff person syndrome he’s the the expert in the field.”

Adam then went to see the guy, who told him that he does not have it.

What is stiff person syndrome?

Celine Dion stepped out of the spotlight after she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition

Stiff person syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that progresses over time.

The condition causes pain and muscle spasms that worsen over the years.

The condition is characterized by “progressive stiffness and painful spasms in the back and limbs, which are often triggered by touch, noise or anxiety, and exacerbated by movement,” per Contact A Family, a charity for families of children with disabilities.

There is currently no cure, but death from the condition is rare.

Strong spasms in the chest can sometimes cause difficulty breathing.

MISDIAGNOSIS HORROR

He recalled how the doctor told him: “This is from your accident from when you were a child, the spasms are a little unexplainable but it could just be you got so tight that your body doesn’t know what to do with it so you’re you’re misfiring a little bit.”

So now Adam believes that getting physically fit during the pandemic may have triggered the painful reactions throughout his body.

“I think I just got so tight and so tightly wound, and my body has all these things that are a little wonky and a little wrong with it, that I just sort of snapped.

“I think I’m still dealing with it, but it’s been three years now,” he said on the podcast.

Adam previously detailed his childhood accident to Entertainment Weekly in 2016.

The accident happened when he was 11 years old.

He told the outler: “one buddy was across the street. He yelled ‘Come on!'” meaning “hurry up,” but he thought it meant “The coast is clear!”

He then walked with his bike onto the road, and was struck by an oncoming cement truck.

“They say the reason I lived was the bike took the hit first,” he said.

“I still slid 500 feet. Picked me up under the first two wheels and then spit me out.”

The actor then underwent 25 surgeries following the accident and still feels the impact of his injuries.

FAMILY LIFE WITH SON

Adam is married to wife Chloe Bridges and they share one child.

The comedian and his stunning actress wife got engaged in 2019.

The couple then got married on October 9, 2021.

On October 2, 2023, the couple announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child.

Their son Beau Devine was born on February 16, 2024.

I hit the jackpot with £4.99 charity shop shoes that are worth £270 – but people rage I’m the reason prices are going up

A BARGAIN hunter has revealed that she hit the jackpot when browsing through her local charity shop.

Emily, a Vinted reseller from the UK, was lucky enough to get her hands on a ‘basic’ pair of shoes for just £4.99.

But when the mum-of-two, who is on a mission to quit working night shifts through reselling, searched for the shoes online, she realised that the designer pair of white chunky loafers are actually worth £270.

Despite her joy, the savvy seller has since been slammed as ‘the reason charity shops are getting expensive’.

It comes after Emily took to social media to show off her charity shop finds, after she looked in a British Red Cross store in Bristol.

The British Red Cross are a charity raising money to support people in crisis, both in the UK and internationally, through emergency response, refugee support, first aid education, and other vital services, and not only did Emily spot a black Miss Selfridge leather jacket, but she also found a pair of Adventure Time Dr. Martens too.

Emily, who recently found a new little-known discount store full of bargains, captioned her post ‘What designer brands have you found in the charity shop?’ and said: “Today I headed back to one of my favourite charity shops and I’m so glad I did because I definitely hit the jackpot.”

She also spotted plenty of Buffy comics, a gorgeous leopard print skirt for £2.99 and £4.99 Carvela shoes, which were £69 originally.

As well as finding Paver pumps which were just £5.99 and originally would have been £50, Emily was chuffed when she found a white pair of loafers for less than a fiver.

Overjoyed, Emily beamed: “This is where I hit the jackpot.

“They look like some basic pair of shoes – these were just £4.99, but after doing a bit of Googling, they are a designer brand called Grenson.”

Grenson is a designer brand that has been making shoes in Northamptonshire since 1866.

Emily then added: “They are worth over £270.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @thriftingwithem, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 130,400 views.

But social media users were left divided by the video – whilst some were impressed with Emily’s finds, others weren’t quite as complimentary.

And you resellers are the reason charity shops are getting expensive

TikTok user

One person said: “Good find, nice shoes.”

While a second added: “Love Grenson shoes, that is such a great find.”

Top charity shop tips for bagging a bargain

Ross Dutton has been a manager for Crisis's charity shops for four years and currently runs the charity's Finsbury Park shop in London.

Choose your area – As a rule of thumb, the posher the area, the better quality the clothes that are donated.

Don’t hang around – If you see something you like, buy it, as it’ll likely be gone when you come back

Look out for cut-off labels – Some of your favourite high street stores will have deals with local charity shops to donate stock that isn’t sold during their own sales. Often part of the deal is that they need to cut the labels off the clothes.

Stay at home – While some charities have their own site, like Oxfam and Crisis. many also sell from dedicated eBay stores, such as British Heart Foundation and Scope. You won’t get the range of bargains that you would get in a physical store, but if you’re looking for something specific it may be worth checking online too.

To this, Emily replied: “I had never heard of the brand before, but now I love them!”

But at the same time, someone else raged: “And you resellers are the reason charity shops are getting expensive.”

Emily’s previous find

And this isn’t the first time Emily has been slammed for buying and reselling items from charity shops.

Just last month, Emily was hit with a barrage of nasty abuse and accused of having ‘no morals’ after reselling a designer charity shop find.

It’s for charity – have some morals

TikTok user

Emily headed to a St Peter’s Hospice charity shop, which raises money to support and care for adults with progressive life-limiting illnesses.

There, she hit the jackpot with her ‘best ever find’ when she came across some designer high heels.

The beige heeled ankle boots were from a brand called Gina, a designer brand based in London.

She paid just £10 for the shoes, which typically retail for £695.

But Emily was met with some nasty remarks for her purchase, as one user snapped: “It’s for charity – have some morals.”

As well as this, another chimed in: “Making profit out of a hospice charity shop. How many hours of nursing care that could have given to that hospice.”

We were shocked to come back from holiday to find council had taken our £22k Mercedes & SOLD it… don’t make same mistake

A couple stands in their garage after bailiffs repossessed their car for an unpaid bus lane fine.
Ravi Oak and Anu Apte have been fighting the case for years, but are now looking to take the civil court. A couple have been left horrified after bailiffs repossessed their 22,000 car as punishment for failing to pay a 35 bus gate fine. Ravi Oak, 55, and Anu Apte, 53, unknowingly drove through a bus gate in their Mercedes C350E in Chelmsford, Essex, and then went to India for six months because of a family bereavement. Essex County Council sent a 35 penalty charge notice to the couple’s address in Colchester, Essex, after the incident in November 2022 but it was left unopened due to the couple being abroad. The charge later doubled to 70 and, because Anu and Ravi were still not at their address to receive the penalty notice, repeated letters to their house were left unopened.

A SHOCKED couple came back from holiday to find their £22,000 Mercedes had been taken away by the council and sold while they were gone.

Following a family bereavement, Ravi Oak, 55, and Anu Apte, 53, were in India for six months when Essex County Council seized the £22k motor and sold it for half price.

The Mercedes C350E was repossessed by the council following a £35 unpaid penalty charge for unknowingly driving through a bus gate in Chelmsford, Essex before their travels in November 2022.

The fine was sent to their home address in Colchester, Essex, but the letters remained unopened as they had already left the country.

Ravi said: “We feel cheated and we feel let down, because people have not followed the law.

“We did not receive the notice, so it was not properly served – this is an abuse of power.

“We need other people to know about what has happened and that it is morally wrong.”

In their absence, the charge doubled to £70 and repeated letters sent to their address.

A friend of Anu and Ravi, who has been checking in on the house, went into the house to find the letters after noticing the car was missing from the couple’s garage.

Essex County Council had ordered debt collectors Bristow and Sutor to remove the vehicle from the couple’s private carport and later sold it off at an auction in Brentwood.

The letters said that the vehicle had been repossessed because the bus gate fine hadn’t been paid.

Ravi discovered this after searching the Mercedes’ registration plate online and found that his car had been sold for £10,500, half of its estimated value.

The couple are now prepared to take the case to the civil court after two and a half years of legal wrangling in an effort to win damages.

Anu said: “It’s a lot of emotional stress, that’s one thing.

“Obviously, money is another thing.

“And then the impact it had at the workplace as well – we become the target of criticism.

“People who didn’t know I was out of the country just think, ‘Why didn’t they pay it? Why couldn’t you just pay the fine?’

“The issue was not that – I wasn’t here and was unaware of it.

“We would have paid the fine if we were in the UK and had known about it.”

COUNCIL RESPONDS

An Essex County Council spokesperson said: “Essex County Council always follows the legal process for contacting vehicle owners who contravene bus gates and collecting the fines incurred.

“Very rarely do these cases go as far as vehicles being removed in order to pay the fines – almost all vehicle owners pay before that point.

“The process involves five separate pieces of correspondence being sent to the vehicle owner typically and in this case over a four month period, giving the vehicle owner an opportunity to either pay or make representations/appeal.

“If the correspondence continues to be ignored or no response is received from the vehicle owner following hand-delivered correspondence and to the efforts made to make contact with the vehicle owner in person at the property, the vehicle may be removed.

“Essex County Council follows the National Standards in relation to enforcement, and we are not aware of any breach of standards in this case.

“Bus gates are in place to improve travel flow around towns and cities and any fines received by the Council are ringfenced according to legislation and reinvested to help improve public transport, roads and the transport network across Essex.

“They are about compliance rather than income, and success would be no fines at all.

“Due to ongoing legal proceedings, we are unable to comment further.”

What your rights are if you're in a dispute with the council over a bus lane penalty?

According to London Tribunals, there are only four grounds on which you can appeal a bus lane Penalty Charge Notice:

  • You were not the owner of the vehicle at the time the infringement occurred
  • There was no breach of the bus lane because it was outside its hours of operation or the vehicle was exempt
  • The person who was in control of your vehicle at the time was in control without your consent
  • If the police are pursuing legal action against you for the breach, in which case the local authority does not impose a separate civil penalty
