Aldi is selling a garden gadget that’s £160 cheaper than Karcher and is perfect for getting your garden ready for Spring

ALDI is flogging a garden gadget for £160 less than Karcher – and it’s perfect for getting your garden spring-ready.

The budget supermarket is selling the FERREX High Pressure Washer for just £89.99.

Aldi is selling the FERREX High Pressure Washer for just £89.99[/caption]

Pressure washers are a spring-cleaning essential, blasting away dirt and grime from patios, driveways, and garden furniture in seconds.

The product includes a height-adjustable telescopic handle, a spray gun with integrated pressure indicator, and a rear detergent container.

Shoppers should purchase the deal as soon as possible as it is only available while stock lasts.

The popular product will return to stores on Thursday March, 26, so customers only need to wait a few more hours to get their hands on it.

The washer is also £10 cheaper than what has been in the past when it was selling for £99.

This type of product has proven to be a hit with customers in recent years.

The deal will save shoppers a tidy sum compared to big name brands.

This includes Karcher’s high pressure washer, which costs between £200 to £250, depending on the offers and promotional events.

You can currently purchase the washer at the reduced rate of £199, down from £249, on the Screwfix website.

Some of Aldi’s best value items are Specialbuys that are much more affordable than a comparable item bought elsewhere.

The most popular items sell out very quickly, so you need to know what is coming in.

Sign up to the supermarket’s mailing list where they often send out information on upcoming specialbuys.

Aldi’s prices are usually pretty good anyway, but when they are trying to clear stock they’ll offer even bigger reductions with special red tags.

The bargain retailer will also be restocking its sellout spa pool, for £249.99, which is cheaper than Wilko.

Wilko sells its inflatable four person hot tub for £299.99.

Often Aldi sells off Specialbuys at reduced prices to make way for fresh stock, so you can score a great deal.

Elsewhere, Lidl offers the Parkside Pressure Washer which costs £190 less than Karcher’s huge pressure washer.

Last week, Wilko knocked down prices on patio sets, lounge chairs, and bistro sets.

This was a huge sale on outdoor furniture – offering up to £500 off just in time for spring.

It is also important to remember to always shop around when buying something like this as you might find a cheaper alternative.

Websites like Trolley and Price Spy let you compare thousands of products across different retailers to find the best price.

Price Spy even lets you see how much an item has cost over time.

A quick scan on the Google Shopping/Product tab will also bring up how much retailers are selling a certain item for too.

How to save money when shopping at Aldi

Unlike other major grocers, Aldi does not have a rewards or point card system but that does not mean you cannot save on your shop.

Every week the store releases a list of special buys, which are unique bargain products you find online at Aldi and in store.

The store releases a fresh range of deals every Thursday and Sunday, so be sure to check regularly to see what’s new.

Meanwhile, the store also regularly sells fruit and vegetables at highly discounted prices, as part of its ‘super six’ deal.

It also does weekly saving offers on typically pricey items such as meat and fish.

Plus, it’s worth keeping an eye out for products with red stickers on them.

These are added to items that have been reduced due to them being close to their best before date or slightly damaged.

The best time to get these reduced products is towards the end of the day, when you can get discounts worth up to 75%.

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.

For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible

Airing on digital channel E4, the show saw the famous faces rig a reality show so that Josh won no matter what.

The unsuspecting star of the show battled it alongside other civilians to become the favourite in a popularity contest.

However, they were unaware that next door was a group of celebrities making sure Josh won, no matter what.

A TV insider told The Sun: “Channel 4 are known for creating space for new shows to make their mark on screens.

“Unfortunately the show didn’t leave a lasting impressions on viewers though.

“It’s been decided not to bring the format back for a second series.”

The star-studded lineup include Pete Wicks, Vicky Pattison, Nick Grimshaw and Amber Rose Gill.

Radio star Nick, 40, won’t be stuck for presenting jobs after landing a new gig with Channel 4.

He was recently announced as the new host of its rebranded animal programme The Bag Dog Academy.

Meanwhile, Josh Must Win viewers were left double-taking after comparing the 23-year-old to a famous soap star.

Fans flooded social media convinced the rising star bore a striking resemblance to Coronation Street’s Alex Bain.

Channel 4's best competition shows

Channel 4 boasts a number impressive competition shows, but which ones are really the best?

Four in a Bed

  • Reality competition show Four in a Bed has been airing on Channel 4 since 2010. It follows four couples as they take turns to stay at each others B&Bs and hotels, rating their stays along the way. The couple with the establishment voted best value for money are the winners.

Come Dine With Me

  • Come Dine With Me has been staple British viewing since 2005, providing some outrageous telly moments over the years. Like Four in a Bed, the series moves around to different properties as it follows four contestants as they each host a (supposedly) gourmet dinner party for each other. After each dinner the guests score the host out of 10, will the winner being revealed on the final evening.

The Great British Bake Off

  • Another national treasure, The Great British Bake Off welcomes a group of 12 amateur bakers to put their culinary skills to the test with Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith judging their efforts. One contestant is eliminated each week until the final three face off in the last week.

Bake Off: The Professionals

  • Bake Off: The Professionals puts a twist on GBBO, pitting two teams of professional pastry chefs against each other in every episode. It’s up to judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden to determine who has what it takes to make it through to the final.

Who is Virginia Mccullough and when did she kill her parents Lois and John?

VIRGINIA McCullough murdered her parents in 2019, hid their bodies and lived with their mummified remains for years.

She was jailed for life in 2024 — the case is examined in Channel 5’s Killed by Our Daughter: The McCullough Murders.

Living a lie

Virginia McCullough lived with her parents, John and Lois McCullough in Great Baddow, in Essex

Whilst living with John and Lois, McCullough began to spend their pensions and ran up large debts on credit cards in their names.

She was trying to conceal a financial black hole that she had created, whilst lying to them about her employment prospects.

McCullough even claimed that her painting hobby would yield huge financial benefits in the future, which she would use to look after her parents.

According to Detective Superintendent Rob Kirby: “McCullough lied about almost every aspect of her life, maintaining a charade to deceive everyone close to her and clearly taking advantage of her parents’ good will.”

Cold-blooded murder

McCullough decided to murder her parents in 2019.

She poisoned her father, John, using prescription medication and struck her mother with a hammer before fatally stabbing her

It was later revealed that Lois had also been poisoned with prescription medication.

After committing her horrific crime. McCullough went to great lengths to conceal her parents’ bodies.

She told her parents’ friends, relatives and GPs a range of lies about John and Lois’ whereabouts, including claims that they were unwell or were on holiday.

This led neighbours to become suspicious, when they didn’t see John and Lois leaving their house.

A GP raised a welfare concern after not seeing either John or Lois, prompting a missing persons investigation.

McCullough initially claimed that her parents were traveling, but police eventually decided to launch a murder investigation.

A chilling confession

A police search of McCullough’s home, in September 2023, found that John’s body had been hidden in a tomb of breeze blocks and blankets.

The tomb was covered with McCullough’s paintings.

Lois was found hidden behind some bedding in an upstairs wardrobe.

McCullough instantly confessed to the murder of her parents and was subsequently arrested at the family home.

Whilst being handcuffed, she said “cheer up, at least you’ve caught the bad guy”.

She added: “I did know that this day would come eventually.

McCullough said she ‘deserved to get what’s coming’ for her when she was arrested[/caption]

“I deserve to get what’s coming, sentence-wise because that’s the right thing to do and then that might give me a bit of peace.”

It was later revealed that she had spent £21,000 on online gambling between 2019 and 2023 and that she had benefitted from over £149,697 of her parent’s money.

Life behind bars

In court, Specialist Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service Nicola Rice said: “McCullough callously and viciously killed both of her parents before concealing their bodies in makeshift tombs within their home address.

“She spent the next four years manipulating and lying to family members, medical staff, financial institutions, and the police, spending her parent’s money and accruing large debts in their name.

“Working with the police we built a strong prosecution case to show the level of McCullough’s deceit both before and after the killings, which helped deliver a guilty plea, thereby sparing the victims’ loved ones the pain of a trial.

“This was a truly disturbing case, which has left behind it a trail of devastation, and I can only hope that the sentence passed today will help those who loved and cared for Lois and John begin to heal.”

McCullough was convicted for the murder of her parents at the age of 36 and she will spend at least 36 years behind bars before she is eligible for parole.

Killed by Our Daughter: The McCullough Murders

The documentary explores the chilling case of McCullough, who murdered her parents and lived with their bodies for four years.

Killed by Our Daughter: The McCullough Murders delves into how Virginia planned and executed the murders in June 2019, before concealing their bodies and living with their decaying remains for four years.

It looks at the charade Virginia maintained — that her parents were alive — and how she tried to fabricate evidence supporting this, including sending fake messages and claiming their pensions.

The true crime show follows every twist, turn and revelation of this shocking case.

You can catch Killed by Our Daughter: The McCullough Murders on Wednesday, March 26 at 10.15 pm on Channel 5.

Rangers hero Alfredo Morelos sent off for NINTH time after opposition keeper taunts him for being overweight

ALFREDO MORELOS has been criticised by his OWN manager after picking up a NINTH red card of his career.

The Rangers hero’s boss reckons the striker showed a lack of self-control after reacting after being called FAT by an opponent.

Morelos, 28, is now with Atletico Nacional in his homeland.

He returned to Colombia after an unsuccessful spell with Santos, having joined the Brazilian club after leaving Rangers in 2023.

Nacional took on Morelos’ former club Independiente Medellin in a bad-tempered derby this week.

The fiery encounter finished 1-1 with Nacional having two players sent-off.

Morelos was shown a straight red card in the dying minutes after lashing out at an opposition defender.

It’s the first time he’s been sent off since being dismissed playing for Rangers against Hibs at Easter Road in 2022.

That was one of FIVE red cards Morelos was shown during his time with the Light Blues.

Morelos was once shown red cards five times in one season when he played for Rangers in 2018/19.

The latest dismissal saw Morelos snap towards the end of the game by lashing out at an opposition defender.

The incident came after Morelos had been repeatedly on the receiving end of ‘fat gestures’ from Independiente goalkeeper Washington Aguerre.

In a running battle between the pair, Aguerre was seen making signs towards his stomach area while clashing with Morelos.

The striker then appeared to take his anger out on an opponent late on.

In the aftermath, Nacional manager Javier Gandolfi warned the fiery striker he had to be more restrained.

He said: “Although Alfredo was clearly provoked, he has to show more respect on the pitch and behave himself.

“Both sets of players should have behaved better, actually.”

And Morelos’ teammate  Juan Zapata hit out at Aguerre.

He said: “This is a guy who doesn’t know what the derby means here and seemed to want to take centre stage by making gestures at Alfredo.

“He had no business making those signs.”

‘Exceptional’ mum-of-two, 28, with a stomach ache died after hospital staff failed to spot she had sepsis

WHEN “beloved” mum Sharzia Bibi was admitted to A&E with severe stomach pain, medics thought she had a water or pelvic infection.

But they didn’t consider she had sepsis – despite the fact she had signs of the condition including a high heart rate and a decreased functional ability.

But doctors missed her symptoms of sepsis -a high heart rate and a decreased functional ability[/caption]

Sharzia died after doctors failed to give her antibiotics to treat the life-threatening condition.

And her family have now spoken out about her devastating death for the first time.

Sharzia was admitted to A&E in Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester after complaining of severe stomach pain and bleeding.

But doctors medics didn’t consider she had sepsis.

The mum-of-two was meant to be given oral antibiotics but didn’t receive them for nine hours, and when she did, they were not suitable for her incorrect diagnosis.

She also should have been monitored every four hours but hospital staff didn’t assess her for more than nine hours.

However following concerns about her condition, Sharzia underwent emergency surgery – where she was then diagnosed with sepsis – and was then transferred to intensive care and put on intravenous antibiotics.

Sharzia then suffered a cardiac arrest and died in November 2023.

Her husband Hassan, 30, says he was given “no indication” that his wife had sepsis when she was in hospital.

He said: “When I took Sharzia to hospital she was in excruciating pain but at no point was I given any indication she had sepsis.

“The impact of her death on our family has been immense.

“Sharzia was an exceptional wife, mum, and daughter-in-law.

“Our lives changed forever from the moment she was taken from us far too soon.

“As a young family we had so many hopes and dreams for the future that we’ll never get to fulfil.”

Hassan has been left to bring up the couple’s sons, Subhan, four, and Abbas, two, and says that all three of them “will never get over” Sharzia’s death.

He added that he wants to highlight what happened, so other families don’t have to go through the same thing.

I don’t think we’ll ever get over losing Sharzia in the way we did

Hassan Bibi

Hassan, of Levenshulme, Greater Manchester, said: “As a single dad, I’m taking care of the children and am worried about their future.

“I don’t think we’ll ever get over losing Sharzia in the way we did.

“It’s hard not to feel angry that I’ve lost my beautiful wife and that the kids have lost their amazing mummy.

“I’ll always make sure that the children will know about their mum, how much she loved them and how proud she was of them, but it’s not the same as having her in their lives.

“It’s too late for Sharzia but by speaking out I hope we can highlight the human cost of care issues so others don’t have to go through what we have.

“I wouldn’t wish the pain our family continues to experience on anyone.”

Who gets sepsis and what causes it?

Sepsis can affect anyone. The condition occurs when the body’s immune system has an overeaction to an infection.

As a result, the body attacks itself.

Some people are more likely to get an infection that could lead to sepsis, however.

This includes babies under the age of one, people over 75 years old, people with diabetes or a weak immune system (either due to treatment, a condition or genetically), people who have recently had surgery or given birth.

Any infection can lead to sepsis. But those more likely to are those of:

  • Lungs, such as pneumonia.
  • Kidney, bladder and other parts of the urinary system
  • Digestive system
  • Bloodstream
  • Catheter sites
  • Wounds or burns

Following Sharzia’s death, her family instructed expert medical negligence lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to investigate and secure answers.

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Wythenshawe Hospital, admitted liability for Sharzia’s death in a civil claim brought by Irwin Mitchell.

They admitted that were it not for the failures in care, on the balance of probabilities, Sharzia would not have died when she did.

A separate inquest into Sharzia’s death at Manchester Coroner’s Court concluded that Sharzia died of “neglect” following “gross failures” in her care.

Coroner James Lester-Ashworth recorded a narrative conclusion on Tuesday (March 18) making six findings of gross failings in Sharzia’s care which amounted to neglect.

Her dad Khalad Sahid, 55, says it’s difficult to think that his “beloved daughter” would still be alive if she “got the care she deserved.”

It’s difficult not to think that Sharzia would still be alive had she had been given the care she deserved

Khalad Sahid

He said: “Sharzia was my beloved daughter and will be missed dearly.

“She’s left behind two beautiful boys who are now aged two and four as well as her devastated husband.

“For me as a father, this is beyond words.

“The findings of the coroner demonstrates that Sharzia didn’t receive the basic medical care that she so desperately needed.

“The trust failed her repeatedly and in so many ways.

“It’s difficult not to think that Sharzia would still be alive had she had been given the care she deserved.”

The lawyers working on her case said her death is a stark reminder of the dangers of sepsis and how early detection and treatment are key to beating it[/caption]

Speaking after the inquest, specialist medical negligence lawyer Sarah Sharples said: “This is a truly tragic case which has left Sharzia’s family devastated.

“Understandably her loved ones have had a number of questions about Sharzia’s care and whether more should have been to help her.

“Our own legal investigations, which resulted in the trust admitting liability in a civil claim, and the inquest which concluded Sharzia died of neglect, have sadly validated those concerns.

“Nothing can ever make up for what’s happened, but we urge the Trust to reflect on this case and ensure patient safety is upheld at all times so other families don’t have to endure a similar trauma.

“Sharzia’s death is a stark reminder of the dangers of sepsis and how early detection and treatment are key to beating it.”

A Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust spokesperson said: “We wish again to extend our condolences and sincere sympathies to Mrs Bibi’s family at this incredibly difficult time.

“The Trust has conducted a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mrs Bibi’s sad death, and we apologise that our care fell short of the high standards to which we aspire.

“We are committed to providing the best care possible for our patients.

“We will be reviewing the coroner’s conclusion carefully to ensure further learning for the trust is addressed and applied to our ongoing efforts to improve our patient safety, quality of care and experience.”

What are the symptoms of sepsis?

SEPSIS is a life-threatening reaction to an infection that happens when your immune system overreacts and starts to damage your body's own tissues and organs.

Symptoms of sepsis in an adult include:

  • Acting confused, slurred speech or not making sense
  • Blue, grey, pale or blotchy skin, lips or tongue – on brown or black skin, this may be easier to see on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet
  • A rash that does not fade when you roll a glass over it, the same as meningitis
  • Difficulty breathing, breathlessness or breathing very fast

Symptoms in a child include:

  • Blue, grey, pale or blotchy skin, lips or tongue – on brown or black skin, this may be easier to see on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet
  • A rash that does not fade when you roll a glass over it, the same as meningitis
  • Difficulty breathing (you may notice grunting noises or their stomach sucking under their ribcage), breathlessness or breathing very fast
  • A weak, high-pitched cry that’s not like their normal cry
  • Not responding like they normally do, or not interested in feeding or normal activities
  • Being sleepier than normal or having difficulty waking

They may not have all these symptoms.

If you think you or someone else has symptoms of sepsis, call 999 or go to A&E.

Fans have been left devastated by the news[/caption]

Revealing the news in the early hours of this morning, FKA Twigs has told fans she has been forced to cancel her North American tour dates.

The British-born star, 37, said it came after an error by a member of her production team which meant she couldn’t get a visa which would allow her to perform.

The Cellophane hitmaker – who has recently been touring in the UK and Europe – announced she’s been forced to back out of her shows in Chicago, Toronto and New York.

The reason for the disruption to the tour was because the “correct paperwork” wasn’t filed.

In a lengthy video posted on her Instagram Stories, FKA Twigs – who’s real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett – explained: “Hi everyone, I wanted to come on here to talk to you and address some things that have been happening behind the scenes in my world.

“So as you may have seen I have been performing the Eusexua tour in the UK and Europe and that’s been incredible, the reception, the crowd and the artistic expression.

“Everything has just been completely amazing and I feel so grateful to be apart of such an amazing process.

“Behind the scenes practically with production and the more practical side of putting this tour together so today I was informed that production did not fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner to have our visas to come for the USA to perform.

“It means that by no choice of my own I will have to pull out of my New York, Chicago and Toronto shows. For those of you who are wondering why I have to pull out of Toronto because it’s not part of the United States, it’s because of routing and the complex beast that touring is.”

Continuing she said: “I don’t take this lightly, I am completely devastated to be honest with you, I am heartbroken. All I wanted to do is be there with you and bring Eusexua…

“I have not performed in the USA since 2019 and it really feels like a home away from home, and this is just such a huge blow and I feel super let down and I’m looking into how and why this happened and I’m making sure I have the support to correct this.

“So with that being said, I will be rescheduling these shows and information will be coming on that very shortly. I can’t wait to bring Eusexua to you, it’s truly been one of the greatest achievements of my life.’

“It’s been this amazing, spiritual, enlightening whirlwind and all I want is to be with you and be performing for you. I am truly devastated and I am so sorry to everyone if this has affected your plans.”

FKA Twigs ended the message with: “Thank you so much for understanding.

“We’re going to reschedule and I’m going to come to you harder and stronger than ever.

“Thank you so much, love you and I’ll see you soon.”

The singer was due to perform in Chicago, Illinois on March 26 and in Toronto, Canada on March 30 which would have been followed by two shows in New York on April 3 and 4.

She is next scheduled to perform in Mexico City on April 6.

FKA Twigs will resume the United States portion of the tour during both weekends of Coachella starting on April 11.

DEVASTATED FANS

However, fans have been left unhappy by the decision to cancel the dates.

This devastated fan wrote on her Instagram page: “I’m sorry… me and my friend literally clock time to get the tickets, book accommodation and flight to Toronto to see you… you are simply dropping the bomb 2 days before the show…

“I’ve adored you and your music and your artistry from the beginning of time… this is so sad… I can’t find words to describe how upsetting this is.”

While another added: “In no way, shape or form were you unaware that you did not have a valid visa one day before you departed for a business trip.

“If you truly were that clueless, then YOU are extremely unprofessional, not your team.

This one said: “Whoever is your tour manager that person should be dismissed and compensate it to all your fans.”

Putin troops suffer ‘never before seen’ LUNG POISONING after being ordered to crawl down 10m gas pipe to attack Ukraine

VLADIMIR Putin’s soldiers have reportedly been left with never-before-seen lung poisoning after crawling through a 10-mile gas pipeline to attack Ukraine.

Russian troops were sent on the bizarre mission earlier this month through a disused pipe near Sudzha, in Russia’s Kursk region – with the goal of sneaking behind enemy lines.

But not only were many of the soldiers slaughtered by Ukrainian forces, survivors are now said to be suffering from chemical pneumonitis – an acute lung inflammation caused by inhaling toxic substances.

Doctors have revealed the condition appears to have worsened over time – with scans showing lungs “resembling chronic pneumonia” in some of the fighters.

A medic, filmed in a leaked video, said he had treated a soldier who went through the pipeline – originally built to supply Russian gas to Europe – and had been suffering from “serious shortness of breath for three or four days.”

“It’s still delayed, and the consequences are still unknown,” the doctor said.

Asked if recovery was possible, he added: “This is the first time we’ve seen this. First time in the world, really.”

He displayed disturbing slides showing the clogged lungs of the poisoned soldier, comparing them to those of a pneumonia victim.

A voice was heard on the video saying: “May God grant them health and recovery.”

One field hospital medic, linked to the notorious Akhmat commando unit from Chechnya, confirmed the troops were struck by a double whammy of oxygen deprivation and gas poisoning.

“They suffered from hypoxia and poisoning by unknown gas in the pipeline,” he said.

“We created our own treatment method. We first conducted desintoxication therapy and cleaned the lungs of patients of small particles. The particles could trigger major health problems.

“We diluted the spit to the maximum and made the particles leave the lungs with the spit.”

The Kremlin has not commented on the reports – but Russian pro-war analyst Sergey Karnaukhov hailed the soldiers, saying: “These men literally sacrificed their health so that the residents of Sudzha could return to their homes. Recovery will take a very long time.”

Botched pipe ambush

The secretive mission was first exposed when shocking footage emerged showing Russian troops crawling through the narrow, five-foot diameter pipe – cursing their commanders and complaining of exhaustion.

In the clip, believed to be filmed by troops inside the tunnel, one soldier is heard saying: “We’ve walked a kilometre, we’re already f***ed up.”

Another blasts: “Stupid ****ing mission. They took our ****ing assault rifles, too.”

Others are seen smoking and eating in the darkness of the pipeline, with one sarcastically saying: “It’s 12 kilometres to Sudzha by pipe, but it’s okay.”

The 007-style plot – bizarrely reminiscent of Bond film The Living Daylights – reportedly saw around 100 Russian troops crouch-walking for miles under the frontlines.

Ukraine says they were detected and then bombarded with missiles, artillery, and drone strikes as they emerged behind enemy lines.

Kyiv claims 80 out of the 100 soldiers were wiped out in the failed sabotage raid, and released drone footage showing bombs being dropped on the pipe.

“The enemy’s losses are very high,” Ukraine’s general staff said in a statement.

“Russian special forces are being identified, blocked and destroyed.”

Ukrainian officer Myroslav Hai said: “Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed a large group of saboteurs.

The Russians attempted to replicate the tactics used in the Avdiivka operation, leveraging engineering structures to infiltrate Ukrainian territory.”

According to pro-Kremlin sources, the operation took a week to complete – including two days of crawling and four days lying in wait.

Russian Telegram channel Romanov Light claimed troops were “poisoned by methane” and had little food or water during the mission.

Despite the heavy losses, the source praised the troops as “real warriors” who accomplished their goal – even as others questioned how they could have uploaded the pipeline footage if they had all perished.

There has been no independent verification of Russia’s conflicting claims, and the Kremlin remains tight-lipped over the bizarre and deadly mission.

Will there be peace?

WHILE a tentative truce over the Black Sea and energy infrastructure was agreed this week, best to not hold your breath waiting a peace to come to Ukraine anytime soon.

Russia has already begun lobbying accusations at Kyiv – and firing cruise missiles in a separate show of strength.

No evidence was provided – but the moves fit a familiar pattern of Russian disinformation and deflection.

President Zelensky has warned that Moscow “always lies” and is already “trying to distort agreements” made during the behind-the-scenes talks in Saudi Arabia.

Russia’s partial ceasefire comes with strings attached – including demands for sanctions to be lifted and banking access restored – which Kyiv has flatly rejected.

Experts say the deal may reduce immediate risks at sea but won’t stop fighting on the front lines.

For now, peace remains a distant prospect – and Putin appears in no hurry to change that.
