I’m a size 12 and did a huge Tesco fashion haul – their buyers deserve a pay rise, the dupes are popping off

A FASHION fanatic has hailed a top supermarket for its incredible dupes and spring arrivals after doing a huge shopping haul.

Abbie Blyth, from Glasgow, regularly shares her shopping and lifestyle tips on TikTok where she boasts 37,000 followers (@abbieblyth).

The 30-year-old is one of Scotland’s biggest and most successful influencers, and even owns her own fashion label BLY.

But she still likes to pick up a pretty bargain when it catches her eye.

In a recent video post, Abbie said: “I popped down to Tesco to get snack bits and stuff and I always go to the clothing section and the pyjama bit because I like to treat myself every once in a while, aka every week.

“And oh my god, who is the buyer for Tesco? Chef’s kiss. You deserve a pay rise for starters.

“A big a** pay rise because it’s popping off.”

First up, the blonde beauty grabbed some Skims dupes – a black short sleeved bodysuit and a twin set of seamless bras.

She gushed: “Skim dupes are really popping off at Tesco. They have these skims bodysuits.

“I’ve tried this on. It’s thick. It’s not see-through.

“I just thought I always needed a black tight slinky vibe bodysuit. And this, I want to say this was like £14 or £18. It was like along that price point.”

Abbie also picked up a pair of taupe and white gym leggings for £18 and matching crop top, priced at £14.

She said: “Now I did size up [in the crop top]. I got this in a medium, which I think is like a 12 to 14 at Tesco, for the boobs.

“And I got the same medium [in the leggings] because I am a 12 and, sorry, gorgeous.”

Finally, the fashionista picked up a white zippy sweatshirt that she hailed as the “comfiest thing”.

She concluded: “If you’re needing some basics and you don’t want to spend a fortune on Skims then Tesco’s where it’s at.”

Abbie’s clip, titled “sorry but Tesco is coming through with staples”, has racked up more than 60,000 views.

And other shoppers are now desperate to hit their nearest F&F aisle for a look.

“I need the jacket omg”, one fashion fan gushed.

A second wrote: “Tesco better have some good stuff still when I’m paid.”

“Tesco is where it’s at”, added a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Love F&F bodysuits.”

Influencer Abbie returned to our TV screens last year as reality show The Agency: Unfiltered’s second season aired on BBC Scotland.

The new series once again followed Aquarius Creative, Scotland’s largest influencer agency, its founders Kirsten Cameron and Amy Moore, and their clients.

During the new series, Abbie revealed how she was scammed out of thousands of pounds.

How has Tesco's F&F upped its game

ZARA has become a high street staple in recent years thanks to its hot-off-the-catwalk designs and affordable prices.

But recently those prices have risen with the brand’s popularity.

However, if you are looking for high fashion inspired outfits with low price tags you needn’t drag yourself to your local shops, just head to the supermarket instead.

F&F has come a long way from selling a few backs of T-shirts and fluffy dressing gowns and is now a must have shopping destination for thousands.

They produce good quality, long lasting and on trend clothes that puts others to shame.

F&F is filled with Zara dupes and other looks inspired by our favourite shops that will set you back less than £50 – and you can get them while you pick up your dinner.

I for one love F&F denim, it’s durable, fits really well and has all the best silhouettes.

So even if you’re not looking for reasonable prices but just want good clothes, get yourself to Tesco.

The blonde beauty tearfully admitted that she nearly lost her fashion label BLY after hackers wiped out her business bank account.

Abbie said: “BLY cost me around £20,000 just to get up and running.

“I had helped my mum and dad with buying a new home – so I was quite proud of the amount of savings I had managed to put away.

“And I thought when I launched BLY, I was quite settled and I would be fine.

“But when the scam happened, it was five days after me and my ex had just split up.

“It completely wiped out my savings as I had poured everything else into BLY.

“They took every penny from me, and it put me back in every aspect, in my personal life and my business.”

Listen to the eerie audio that reveals what sharks SOUND like for the first time – leaving scientists astounded

LISTEN to this eerie audio, which is the first-ever recording of noises made by sharks.

Scientists were astounded when they realised they had captured sounds coming directly from the famously “silent” creatures.

The running theory is that the sharks snap together their hard plate-like teeth[/caption]

Whales and dolphins are well-known for making a range of high-pitched clicks and pulses.

And until now, sharks were assumed to be their noiseless ocean companions.

But no longer, after marine biologists from Massachusetts surprised themselves and the world by proving some sharks do have a voice.

Carolin Nieder, a marine biologist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, told ScienceAlert: “I was very surprised. I was under the assumption that sharks don’t make sounds.”

The scientists made the accidental discovery while researching the hearing ability of rig sharks – a small inland species.

While she was handling one specimen, Carolin noticed a clicking, snapping sound coming from the fish – similar to the noise of an electric spark.

The sound is most likely produced by the shark snapping its teeth together, according to the study published in Royal Society Open Science.

Other fish can make sounds by vibrating their swim bladders, but sharks don’t have these

As such, the science community believed they were “silent, unable to actively create sounds”.

To investigate Carolin’s discovery, her team put ten rig sharks in a tank and kitted it out with underwater microphones.

All of the sharks were found to “produce clicking sounds underwater” while being handled or moved between tanks.

The sharks emitted on average nine clicks in the 20 seconds after being touched.

Most of these came in the initial ten seconds, suggesting the sounds were in reaction to the disturbance.

The exact source of the sound remains unclear, but researchers believe the rigs snap and rub together their plate-like teeth, which are used to crush crustaceans.

The sharks were quiet during feeding and swimming, so biologists deduced the sound was a defence mechanism – rather than a form of communication.

Whales and dolphins, on the other hand, frequently communicate within their species.

Work is still needed to figure out whether the sharks make the same sound in the wild, and if it extends to other species[/caption]

Carolin said: “One possibility could be that the sounds are a form of a startle response – in the wild perhaps in response to an attack by a larger shark or marine mammal.”

However, the team has more work ahead to figure out whether the sharks make the same sound in the wild.

Neil Hammerschlag, president of Atlantic Shark Expeditions, told CNN: “This study opens up the possibility of these smaller sharks ‘sounding the alarm’.

“While we really don’t know if the sound produced by the rig sharks was simply a byproduct of being handled […] it does open up some new questions, possibilities and avenues for future research.”

Scientists are yet to determine whether other shark species are similarly vocal, but Carolin thinks there “is a chance other sharks are making similar noises”.
