Mathys Tel forced to apologise to Tottenham fans after wearing ex-Arsenal star’s name on shirt

MATHYS TEL has apologised to Tottenham fans after posting a photo of himself wearing a Willian shirt on social media.

The 19-year-old swapped shirts with the Brazilian following Spurs’ 2-0 defeat to Fulham earlier this month.

Willian rejected a move to Tottenham in 2013 and chose to join Chelsea instead[/caption]

And he donned the white top in a photo that was posted to his social media this week.

However, some Tottenham fans were furious to see that he was wearing the shirt of a player who once rejected them.

One person commented: “Oh, Mathys…”

Another said: “How do footballers not realise that this goes down like a lead balloon…”

While a third commented: “Willian jersey after he’s played for both our biggest rivals is kinda nuts.”

Willian came close to joining Tottenham in 2013 but ultimately rejected the Lilywhites.

After completing a medical in North London, the 36-year-old had a last-minute change of heart and instead signed for Chelsea.

He went on to win two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup at Stamford Bridge.

The winger also spent a year with Arsenal, Tottenham’s biggest rivals.

After realising his error, Tel promptly apologised to Spurs fans.

He said: “Ahaha sorry my bad guys I didn’t know.”

Some Tottenham supporters thought the loanee was unfairly treated over the incident.

One person said: “He joined two months ago. He’s 19. He’s French. Why would he know the history… Shameful the stick he got.”

While another added: “To be honest I wouldn’t expect him to know the backstory to that situation. He’s a 19 year old who’s been at the club for 2 months so why would he know the full story about a transfer over a decade ago?”

Tel joined Tottenham on loan from Bayern Munich in January after initially turning down a move to North London.

Spurs have the option to make the move permanent for around £45million.

Fuming Enzo Maresca ‘CANCELS Chelsea stars’ day off after they are smashed 3-0 by their U21s team’

ENZO MARESCA cancelled a day off for senior Chelsea stars after they flopped in a training session with the club’s U21s.

The first-team players who did not go away on international duty were supposed to enjoy a rest on Thursday.

Enzo Maresca, Chelsea manager, acknowledges fans.

But Maresca was so incensed by the standards he witnessed during Wednesday’s session that he changed his mind and demanded they show up again at the club’s base in Cobham.

The Italian told the players in no uncertain terms that he would not tolerate any slacking off as Chelsea approach the business end of the season.

The Blues boss made it clear that he expected every member of his squad to give the maximum as the team chase Champions League qualification and Europa Conference League glory.

During the international break Maresca worked with the first-team squad members who remained at the club after the likes of captain Reece James and Enzo Fernandez joined up with their countries.

And the Blues boss was bitterly disappointed to see Chelsea youngsters outwork and outperform senior stars.

It was claimed that a team made up of under-21 players and even some from the under-16s won 3-0 against a side whose core was first-teamers.

Donnell McNeilly, of the Under-21s, was said to have scored twice, with Chizzy Ezenwata, 16, claiming the other.

But it is understood there was no formal match and the action was part of a stop-start training session.

Nevertheless Maresca was upset enough with what he saw to punish the first teamers and lay down a marker for the rest of the season.

A number of Chelsea’s international stars returned to training today [FRI] and the standards are believed to have been much higher.

The Blues are back in action next Thursday with a London derby against Tottenham.

Meanwhile off the pitch Chelsea’s estranged owners are united in their mission to demolish Stamford Bridge.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have put aside their differences to agree to pursue a completely new stadium instead of redeveloping their current home.

But it remains to be seen if Chelsea will stay at the Bridge during construction of a new ground.

Boehly is believed to favour building a new stadium at Earl’s Court, while Twickenham could end up being used as a temporary home.

Injuries & suspensions update ahead of Gameweek 29: Latest on Cole Palmer, Chris Wood and others

DREAM TEAM brings you all the latest injury, suspension and availability news for Gameweek 29 in one convenient location.

On Thursday, Arsenal fans reacted with great enthusiasm to an Instagram post from Bukayo Saka which depicted the 23-year-old in training gear with the caption: “Hello again.”

The England winger hasn’t played since December 21st but is seemingly nearing a return.

Riccardo Calafiori suffered minimal ligament damage on Italy duty and is expected to miss between two and three weeks.

Bournemouth first-choice defenders Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen are suspended for Manchester City’s visit to the Vitality Stadium in the FA Cup this weekend.

Both will be available to face Ipswich in midweek.

As for the visitors, Pep Guardiola confirmed that his international players were “okay” despite rumours of a hamstring issue for Josko Gvardiol.

The decorated tactician did admit that some individuals were “tired” and needed “recovery”.

Ederson has trained in recent days having previously been hindered by an abdominal problem.

Unai Emery told journalists that Ross Barkley is Aston Villa’s only absentee ahead of their trip to Preston on Sunday, aside from the cup-tied Axel Disasi.

This implies Ollie Watkins is available having rested his troublesome knee during the international break.

Manchester United defenders Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro were all pictured in training this week but it’s not yet clear who will be available to face Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

Brighton trio Matt O’Riley, Lewis Dunk and Solly March are in contention to play against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Speaking of Forest, Nuno Espirito Santo told reporters that Chris Wood will not feature in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The Portuguese coach said: “He [Wood] has been to a specialist for a scan. We will wait on the information and see. He will not be available for this game. He felt a kick really hard on his hip.”

Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson is targeting a return in midweek having been sidelined for two months with a hamstring injury.

It’s a similar story for Noni Madueke while Romeo Lavia is also described as “much better”.

Cole Palmer returned to training today and therefore has a chance of featuring against Tottenham on Thursday.

Jean-Philippe Mateta has been cleared to play against Fulham this weekend following his nasty ear injury.

The Crystal Palace striker, who has scored eight goals since the turn of the year, will wear a protective mask having had 25 stitches.

As for the Cottagers, Harry Wilson, Reiss Nelson and Kenny Tete remain sidelined but Antonee Robinson is thought to be available having sat out for the USA during the break.

Snoopers might be tracking your EXACT location using your iPhone – six ways it’s being shared & how to stop them all

[/boxout]

#4 – Your Apple ID

Your Apple ID is the gateway to your iPhone. If someone breaks into that, location spying might be the least of your worries.

They’d be able to see anything you’ve got synced to your iCloud, including your backed-up photos, texts, emails and more. Ouch.

But they could also see the location of all of your devices connected to that Apple ID via ‘Find My’. After all, Apple simply thinks it’s you logged in – not a total stranger.

One quick check to make is to go to Settings > [Your Name] and then scroll down to the list of devices.

Check your Apple Account to look for any unrecognised devices[/caption]

This shows every Apple gadget connected to your Apple ID. So if there’s a strange device that you don’t recognise on there, remove it from your Apple ID right away.

You can also go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Safety Check > Manage Sharing & Access to review people and apps that you’re sharing location with, plus your Apple Account security.

If you think that someone really has broken into your Apple account, you’ll want to change your password right away.

And you should also make sure that the new password is very complicated and totally unique – and is protected by another layer of security, like a two-factor authentication code sent to you over text.

Safety Check is an easy way to root out any snooping apps or people[/caption]

Don’t wait around with an Apple ID breach. It’s extremely dangerous.

#5 – HomeKit Accessories

Apple’s Home app is a great way to manage all of the smart gadgets in your house. Think lightbulbs, thermostats, cameras. The posh ones that connect over the internet, and turn on and off using apps.

And your iPhone lets you create a virtual Home that contains all of these gadgets.

But it can also contain other People who can also access the gadgets in your home.

The Sun
Make sure no one else has access to your smart home tech[/caption]

Anyone in this shared home can see and control the gadgets in your home. So if a stranger has gained access to that, you’ve got a big problem on your hands.

But setting aside the fact that they could watch through your cameras or turn your lights off, they could also bag info about your location.

For instance, it could reveal when you’re away from your home, especially if you’ve got location-based automations set up.

Thankfully it’s extremely easy to check if someone has secretly added themselves to your shared home.

Just open the Home app on your iPhone, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, then choose Home Settings.

Right near the top should be a section called ‘People’. If someone shouldn’t be there, tap their name and choose ‘Remove Person’. Easy.

#6 – Precise Location

You might think that all iPhone location tracking is the same. Well, you’d be wrong.

There’s actually an advanced form of location tracking called ‘Precise Location’.

iPhone location services settings for National Trust, News, Night Sky, and Nike apps.
The Sun
Make sure that you’re only giving Precise Location to apps that need it[/caption]

Some apps only need your general location. So imagine a TV app that wants to show you telly for the correct area.

But other apps might need something called ‘Precise Location’.

This is when an app needs to know exactly where you are. Think: Google Maps, Uber, or a messaging app like WhatsApp when you’re sharing location with texting pals.

You can still let an app access your rough location without giving them your precise location.

Just go into Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services then tap on individual apps.

At the bottom, you should see a toggle for ‘Precise Location’.

You can simply turn that toggle off to deny access. This won’t stop all location sharing – it just affects how specific it is.

You’ll want to check two things.

Google Maps location access settings on iPhone.
The Sun
Precise Location can be turned on or off for specific apps with a simple toggle[/caption]

Firstly, that you’re not sharing ‘Precise Location’ with any dodgy apps.

But also, make sure that apps that would work just find with approximate location aren’t getting your precise location.

If you find out that the app has stopped working properly, you can always just toggle precise location on again with a few taps.

Test it out on a few apps to see what happens. You might find that many apps work just fine without it switched on.
