Shoppers are filling their trolleys with breakfast favourite scanning for just 69p at major supermarket
BARGAIN hunters are rushing to Asda after spotting a popular breakfast cereal scanning for just 69p at the tills.
Kellogg’s Froot Loops, known for their colourful rings and fruity flavour, have been found on shelves for a fraction of their usual price.

One eagle-eyed shopper shared the find online, posting: “Bargain – scanning at 69p in Asda. Not sure if they’re new or just trying to sell them off but thought it was a good deal.”
The post sent cereal fans into a spin, with many saying they were heading straight to stores to stock up.
Froot Loops have long been a family favourite but are usually priced higher due to their imported status or limited availability in UK supermarkets.
ASDA has not confirmed if this is part of a wider promotion or a store-specific deal, so eager shoppers may want to check their local branch quickly before stock vanishes.
The cereal giant has recently unveiled two brand-new cereals just months after one of its tasiest breakfast staples was axed.
Kellogg’s Oaties, a crunchy oat-based cereal, is not on sale in four major supermarkets, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s priced a £3.49 for a 500g pack.
Oaties come in Original Crunch and Choco Crunch flavours and are designed to stay crispy, even in milk.
Each bite is packed with fibre and fortified with essential vitamins including B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, and iron – all aimed at giving your metabolism a morning boost.
Kellogg’s said it took months of food development to create the “unique, multilayered texture” that keeps the cereal crunchy.
The brand added that the oat and cereal flours were carefully blended with quality ingredients, then cooked and shaped into pillow-like pieces.
Both flavours are also non-HFSS, meaning they’re not high in fat, salt or sugar – and contain up to 8.9g of fibre per 100g.

Major blow for thousands of Irish passengers as bus service sets to axe EIGHT busy stops from Dublin Airport
A MAJOR blow is on the way for thousands of Irish passengers as a bus service is set to axe eight popular stops from Dublin Airport.
JJ Kavanagh & Sons are streamlining one of its bus services, cutting a number of stops between Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois and Dublin.

The streamlining affects the 717 Clonmel to Dublin route, which is hugely popular among passengers travelling to Dublin city and the airport.
And from April 7, eight stops in Kildare, Kilkenny, and Laois will be removed.
A spokesperson for JJ Kavanagh & Sons said that although some passengers may be disappointed, the changes will make travel faster and smoother overall.
They said: “While we realise these changes may be disruptive to some, these changes will in no doubt deliver a faster, more consistent and altogether more extra-ordinary journey for the vast majority of our passengers.”
The eight stops across three counties no longer serviced include:
- Naas, Co Kildare (Poplar Pharmacy, Post Office)
- Kilcullen, Co Kildare (The Hideout)
- Athy, Co Kildare (The Castle Inn/ Woodstock)
- Ballylynan, Co Laois (The Old Church)
- Newtown Cross, Co Laois (Opp. R430 Jn)
- Crettyard, Co Kilkenny (Southbound Bus Stop)
- Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny (Harringtons Bookmakers)
- Kilkenny (Newpark Hotel, Glendine Inn)
A new stop will be added at Kilkenny’s MacDonagh Station to balance out the removed stops.
The revised route will now cover Clonmel, Kilsheelan, Grangemockler, Killamery, Callan, Kilkenny City, Dublin City and Dublin Airport.
This service will be available daily, running from Monday to Sunday.
And Kildare commuters are set to receive lower fares starting at the end of April.
The National Transport Authority’s new Dublin Commuter Zone will now give train fare reductions for travellers from Newbridge and Kildare Town.
These changes, which include fare reductions of up to 45 per cent have been delayed but are set to take effect by April 28.
Speaking to Kildare Nationalist, Local TD and Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon said he is relieved after years of advocating for fairer pricing for South Kildare commuters.
He said: “Commuters from Newbridge, and other parts of South Kildare including Kildare town, have been fighting for years to be included in the current short hop zone.
“Following this long battle, we were all delighted in April 2023 when the NTA confirmed the introduction of a new Dublin Commuter Zone which would replace the short hop zone and included Newbridge and Kildare town.
“In January 2024, the NTA confirmed the fare structure for the new Dublin Commuter zone highlighting significant reductions of 45% for those travelling from Newbridge to Dublin and 37% for commuters from Kildare town.
“There was frustration that although these fare reductions had been announced, their implementation had been beset by delay after delay.
“I have long been raising this unfair situation forced upon South Kildare commuters with successive Ministers for Transport and the National Transport Authority (NTA) and most recently, the current Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien, confirmed to me that the delays have not been caused by lack of funding but delays in availability and scheduling of sub-contractor works.”
The new ticketing infrastructure has been installed and the updated pricing structure will go live without further delays.
TD Martin Heydon added: “The inclusion of Newbridge and Kildare town in the new Dublin Commuter zone was a big win and recognition of the work of so many to provide more Kildare commuters with fairer fares, who deserve great credit for their work on this initiative.
“I am delighted that now, finally, commuters in South Kildare will no longer be taken for ‘fool’s’ and will benefit from the reduction in their fare prices from the end of this month.”

Love Island hunk reveals he’s dating stunning influencer a year after split from co-star he fell for in the villa
LOVE Island hunk Hugo Godfroy has revealed he’s dating a stunning influencer after splitting from fellow villa star Jess White.
Hugo, 25, who found fame on the dating show in 2023, shared a series of cosy Instagram snaps with blonde beauty Cameron Freeston, confirming their budding romance.

In a photo dump posted yesterday, the pair looked loved-up as they posed for romantic selfies and playful photo booth snaps during nights out.
The collection of images also featured Hugo and Cameron at the beach – as well as shots of Hugo DJing.
He wrote in his caption: “The starts been exceptional. Ldn East this Saturday to top it all off.”
Hugo’s new romance comes almost a year after his split from Jess, who he coupled up with in the villa.
Last August, Hugo announced his split from Jess White after The Sun published snaps of him snogging Charlotte Sumner at the boozy National Reality TV Awards after-party.
Hugo took to his Instagram Story at the time to confirm that they are no longer an item.
He said: “Just to let everyone know Jess and I agreed to go our separate ways after the final in Majorca.
“I’m hoping we can still be friends as we had a great experience together, she’s a lovely girl and I wish her all the best.”
Hugo and Jess got together during the Casa Amor twist of last year’s series of the ITV2 show.
They appeared to hit it off immediately, despite Jess’ man Trey Norman being back in the main villa.
The pair recoupled at the Casa Amor recoupling ceremony and appeared to be going strong.
Despite Hugo sharing some worries with the boys, they left together in high spirits and returned hand in hand when they voted Jessy Potts and Joey Essex off the show.
They also attended the Love Island final together on Monday night.
Since returning to the UK, Hugo and Jess enjoyed some time together out at glitzy events.
Jess even confirmed the pair were making a go of things, saying: “We’re still seeing each other.”
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Hugo added: “We’re just going at our own pace.”
But in recent days their presence on each other’s social media accounts went quiet.
But when Hugo attended the National Reality TV awards without Jess, he got up to no good.
The hunk enjoyed a number of smooches with Love Islander Charlotte on the night.
An onlooker told The Sun: “Hugo and Charlotte could not keep their hands off each other all night.
“It was clear that they only had eyes for each other and didn’t care who was watching as they enjoyed a slew of snogs on the dancefloor.
“They even found a quiet corner of the packed bar to have another passionate kiss – it made it pretty obvious that Hugo and Jess are very much over but she is still bound to be stunned to see he has moved on so quickly.”
Charlotte rose to fame on Love Island the previous year.
The dental nurse only lasted five days before she was dumped from the villa.
Hugo had since been linked to Towie’s Ella Rae Wise and Love Island’s Samantha Kenny.
