Tourists flock to the popular beach spot for its soft golden sand, crystal clear waters and excellent services, including changing rooms, lockers for storage, parasols, sunbeds and hammocks.

And there are sports and recreational facilities available for those beach sports lovers.

Along the beach, there are many food establishments available including bars, cafes, bakery, pizzeria, restaurants and convenience stores.

The venues by the beach often provide local cuisine and products representing the city and country, meaning plenty of delicious black risotto and brodetto to try.

The Old Town of Primošten has many picturesque maze of narrow streets to explore, with gorgeous plants on the streets, charming white stone houses, local shops and food-tasting classes.

It is well known for its wine-tasting classes, with tourists travelling worldwide to try delicious wines from the Croatian vineyard with some local food bites and a big dish.

Many restaurants and pubs can be found on the streets, with a bottle of beer costing as little as €4, while a meal out at a mid-range restaurant will cost €15.

Many nightlife events are held in the Old Town pubs, expressing the village’s culture with their classical music.

Popular attractions

Locals often urge visitors to see the Church of Saint George, the highest point in the village.

It features a bell tower that dominates the horizon, making it a unique destination with great character.

For those who want to have a little bit of fun, they are encouraged to try out one of their local private tours where they can try out delicious food and wine tasting from many vineyards in the area.

They get the opportunity to visit the Krka National Park, featuring a gorgeous waterfall, and the town of Sibenik – which are highly recommended in the area on many itineraries.

It takes four to ten hours to complete the tour, meaning you are guaranteed to make your day out of it while sipping on wine!

Lastly, they also suggest visitors see another key viewpoint, which can be found on Gaj Hill, where they will find the 17m-high statue of Our Lady of Loreto.

Built in 2017, the Croatian statue is one of the world’s highest statues of its kind.

British schoolboy, 14, dies in horror skiing accident during a half-term family holiday in northern Italy

A BRITISH schoolboy, 14, has died in a skiing accident while on a half-term holiday with his family in northern Italy.

Despite the teen wearing a helmet, he suffered severe chest injuries after losing control on the slopes before crashing into a tree.

Paramedics desperately fought to save the 14-year-old for over half an hour using a defibrillator, but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The tragedy occurred on Falzarego red run, a slope spanning 3.5km from Lagazuoi toward Col Gallina.

Witnesses claim that the boy had built up significant speed before hitting a dip that launched him forward with no control.

He then went crashing into a tree at high impact in the horror accident.

Francesco Cataldo Giorgi, vice president of the Happy Ski school in Cortina, told Corriere del Veneto: “Had he fallen just a few metres earlier or later, he may have escaped unharmed.

“But in this sport, one wrong fall in the wrong place can be fatal.

“We must always exercise extreme caution.”

The family had been on their half-term holiday in the Bolzano region alongside two other families.

They had only just begun their day on the slopes when the tragic accident occurred at around 9:30AM.

The teen’s parents are receiving medical and psychological support following the unimaginable ordeal, as they face the tragic task of repatriating their son’s body back to the UK.

Investigators are now working to determine whether any previously unknown or unnoticed dangers are on the slope that could have played a role in the accident.

HOLLYOAKS underwent a wave of departures by cast members last year – and now one of its longest serving stars is stepping down.

It means the actress, who featured in plotlines from domestic abuse to mental illness, will film her emotional exit scenes next month.

Insiders revealed that Nikki, who has been dating Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan for three years, had decided to move on to give herself more freedom to try other roles.

A source told me: “She met with bosses and told them of her plans to leave, she’d just turned 40 and felt the time was right to say goodbye to Maxine.

“She’s keen to explore other opportunities and is excited to get back out there.

“Bosses have been plotting Maxine’s exit storyline for months and have promised it will be a fitting tribute to the character, and viewers can expect a lot of drama before she goes.”

The source added: “She will film her final scenes next month, which will go out on-screen in May.”

Earlier this month we revealed how rival soap Coronation Street has signed up Ryan Mulvey, who played JJ Osborne in the Channel 4 soap.

Ryan bagged a part in the ITV programme mere weeks after finally leaving Hollyoaks for good.

Ryan was involved in one of soap’s most controversial plots ever when it was revealed that his character JJ had been repeatedly raping and abusing his twin sister, Frankie, and putting her through a terrible ordeal.

JJ was sent to prison after finally confessing to the shocking abuse which led to his exit from the soap.
