Jack Fincham predicted his own downfall in emotional interview before jail sentence and revealed secret sadness

JACK Fincham predicted his own downfall before spiralling back onto drugs and ending up with a prison sentence.

The Love Island winner has today been freed from a short stint in jail as he appeals his six-week dog attack sentence.

Jack, 33, was dragged to court after the Cane Corso mauled a runner and attacked a woman.

It follows his suspended sentence for speeding down the hard shoulder in a BMW while on cocaine.

Speaking about his drug addiction recovery at the end of 2023, Jack told The Sun: “I’m not saying I’ll never go back to a c**p place again or do something silly again.

“That’s unfortunately part of my make up.

“I might do that again, but I want people to understand I’m not doing it on purpose to p*** people off.

“This is just part of me that I need to learn to live with.

“I want to do more good than s***.”

Jack admitted he faked being in recovery to keep brand deals and TV opportunities.

The 33-year-old said he’d gone through all the money he’d earnt at the height of his Love Island fame and needed income.

He added: “I would say ‘I’m in such a good place, I’ll never go back there again’.

“But that wasn’t true. I was saying that because I was worried about work. I didn’t want to let brands down.”

Jack was today jailed for six weeks after he admitted being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.

It is understood he has now been freed on bail while he appeals the sentence.

Love Island winner Jack Fincham kisses Towie girlfriend Chloe Brockett after he’s FREED on bail over dog attack

LOVE Island winner Jack Fincham was today seen kissing Towie girlfriend Chloe Brockett after he was freed on bail over a dog attack.

The reality star, 32, was dragged to court after his hulking Cane Corso called Elvis attacked runner Robert Sudell.

Fincham was today jailed for six weeks after he admitted being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.

He has now been released on bail while he appeals the sentence.

Fincham was pictured celebrating his freedom with Chloe in Essex this afternoon.

The couple were seen side-by-side heading to a local supermarket as Fincham made a call.

The reality star, wearing a long dark coat, then leaned over and kissed Chloe, who had earlier wept as Fincham was jailed.

His lawyer told Mail Online: “We are disappointed that the Magistrates did not find it would be unjust to activate the Suspended Sentence Order.

“However, the case remains finely poised, and we are optimistic that in the fullness of time, the Crown Court will uphold Mr Fincham’s appeal.”

Elvis first attacked runner Robert in Swanley, Kent, in September 2022.

He then mauled an unnamed woman in Grays, Essex, in June 2024 but no harm was done.

Presiding magistrate Anne Wade, said that Fincham was subject to a suspended sentence order at the time.

This was after Fincham was caught speeding down the hard shoulder in a BMW while on cocaine.

Ms Wade said this order would be activated in part, adding that “we find no reason not to do so” as she jailed the star.

Fincham was also ordered to pay £3,680 – including £200 compensation fee to Robert and a £50 compensation fee to the other victim.

A payment plan of £400-a-month will be set up upon his release from prison, Southend Magistrates’ Court heard.

JPs heard that Fincham failed to comply with three rules over the dog’s ownership following the first attack.

These included to always keep the dog on the lead, for the dog to wear a muzzle when outside and to not leave the animal alone with anyone under the age of 16.

The guidelines were set in September 2022 when Elvis bit runner Robert and Fincham took part in a dog ownership course.

But there was another incident in June 2024 when the animal lashed out at a woman – sinking its teeth into her leg.

The court was told Fincham would get Elvis back upon his jail release if the three stipulations are met.

Fincham has previously come under fire over his pet dog.

Fans have slammed the star over Elvis’ cropped ears, which is illegal in the UK.

He revealed last year that he had got the pooch from Russia and that it was imported by Protection Dogs WorldWide.

The former pen salesman also owns Sandy, a bulldog he bought while he was dating and living with his ex Dani Dyer

Fincham appeared on the 2018 series of Love Island where he and Dani – daughter of actor Danny Dyer – scooped the top prize.

The couple split just 129 days after leaving the villa following a series of rows.

Dani broke the news to their followers in December 2018, saying: “She wrote: “Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible six months and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we’ve sadly come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term.

“We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand. Love Dani x.”

Fincham has found himself on the wrong side of the law numerous times since 2021 when he was arrested for drink-driving.

He recently told The Sun how his 2023 conviction for speeding while high on cocaine was a wake up call and led him to sign up for Narcotics Anonymous.

The star added: “This has made me realise that I have to take responsibility for my actions.

“I was carrying on with the same lifestyle after the arrest, but now it’s hit home.

“I had no respect for myself and was selfish about others. I didn’t care what happened to me in the frame of my mind I was in.

“I wasn’t thinking about what harm I could do to myself or how I could hurt others.”

A hilarious clip of her reaction, posted by her best friend Rachel, had people in stitches and has hit over 631k views.

Gardai returned the ID along with a letter with some advice.

Sgt Joe O’Sullivan said: “Dear Caroline. Please find enclosed your driving licence.

“I hope you had a wild and enjoyable time here in Ireland, please feel free to visit us again anytime, and next time, don’t drink so much Guinness and lose your driving licence.

“It’s a very important document.

“If you have any queries or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.”

The gardai took to social media to share the funny story.

They said: “Caroline and Rachel recently took a besties trip to Ireland, and well the rest is as the story goes.

“We’re proud that our way of community-based policing continues to bridge the Atlantic.

“It really is the small things isn’t it.”

Her travel buddy Rachel joked: “10/10 police work, spot on.”

People took to the comments to share their own stories.

One visitor recalled: “We were in a small car accident near Dingle while visiting from Canada.

“A few months after the accident we got a phone call at home from the guard who looked after us.

“He just wanted to know how we were doing and if everything worked out okay. Better than any money spent on tourism advertising.”

One person said: “In 2015 I lost a diamond ring in Galway City centre.

“Two hours after I reported it to the local Garda station, I got a call that someone has handed it in.”

Another shared: “I lost my wallet in Letterkenny once and called the Garda to ask if someone handed it over an hour later they called me.

“The wallet was handed over with everything in it. What decent people.”

While another added: “I literally had my passport stolen in Killarney at the Grand and the thief dropped it on floor at some point, a staff member picked it up.

“Clearly realised the man wanting it back wasn’t me, and by the next day I retrieved it from the Garda! I was very impressed and relieved.”

Others praised Sgt Joe O’Sullivan and the team for their work.

One person said: “Well done Joe. What a way to brighten a boring Monday.”

Another said: “Glad to see not all our Irish humour has vanished.”

While another added: “Well done lads.”
