Karren Brady reveals when she’ll QUIT The Apprentice for good as she admits she has ‘no ambition to be on TV’

THE Apprentice star Karren Brady has revealed exactly when she will QUIT the show for good after 15 years in the role.

Barroness Brady, 55, joined the programme as one of Lord Alan Sugar’s key advisers in the sixth series of the programme in 2010 and has remained there ever since.

However, she has now clarified exactly when she will walk away from the BBC programme after admitting her future is limited.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Karren admitted that when Alan decides to call it a day then she will follow him out of the door too.

The businesswomen said: “Look, just to be clear, I only do this show because of Alan.

“He’s been my friend for 20 plus years, probably 30.

“I do it because I like working with him, I love working with Tim and it’s a great show to be part of.”

Karren continued: “I love the fact that Alan still loves the show.

“But I have no ambitions to be on TV and certainly no ambitions to replace him.

“I’ve always said when Alan leaves, I leave and that’s it.

“There is no show without him as far as as I’m concerned.”

Eighteen fresh faces will take to the boardroom next week in a showdown as they aim to get “hired” not “fired” by Lord Sugar.

And Karren admitted that all of the candidates are in it “to win it” and no one is there purely just for the fame and exposure.

She told us: “Trust me, everyone who goes on the show wants to win.

“I mean, they make different choices once they finish, but when they’re applying and when they’re in it, every single one of them wants to win.

“They’re there to win, they think they can win, but obviously they can’t all win. So that’s just how it goes.

“I think the reason why the show is successful is the winner genuinely goes into business with Lord Sugar.

“It’s not a certificate that they win, or ‘I’ve passed the Alan Sugar business school’. I mean, they get a quarter million pounds and he’s in business with them.

“So the candidates are there all because they have investable businesses – all at various different levels.

“Some might be an idea, some may be well-established, some may be halfway between that, but they all have an investable idea and it’s down to him who he wants to go into business with, who he wants to support, who he wants to help.”

The Apprentice biggest moments

THE Apprentice has been a fan favourite ever since it burst onto the box in 2005.

Here we take a look at five of the biggest moments over the years on the hit BBC One show.

Tim Campbell – Former London Underground transport manager Tim Campbell won the first series of the reality show in 2005. He is now one of Lord Sugar’s aides on the show.

Sarah Lynn and James White – For the first and only time in the show’s history, both finalists were crowned winners in 2017.

Amy Anzel – Season 16’s fired candidate Amy Anzel was BANNED from the final celebration show, after a tit-for-tat exchange over Lord Sugar’s mocking tweets.

Michelle Dewberry – Telecoms consultant Michelle Dewberry won the second series of the show in 2006. However, after winning a six-figure job with Lord Sugar she lasted just four months before she sensationally quit.

Selena Waterman-Smith – We’re used to tensions running high in the boardroom, but in 2015 a disagreement between two candidates spilled over – for the first time – into a physical bust-up. Events manager Selina Waterman-Smith was given a verbal warning by show bosses for her role in an off-camera scrap with Charleine Wain.
