Laura told Sun Travel: “I’ve always travelled and have been around the UK with my parents from an early age.

“We’ve always been into travelling and exploring different places. In fact, when I was nine my mum and dad got a caravan.

“We would always go away every weekend to a different place in the UK. And then we started venturing further afield, taking it over to Europe.”

Laura reveals some of her fondest memories were going to Cornwall, when she and her parents went camping.

She said: “I used to love going on those holidays and my parents would do rounders competitions.

“All the parents and kids would get together on the camping sites and we’d play rounders and have barbecues.

“There was a sense of freedom that came with camping holidays. We’d be able to get on our bikes and go and explore.”

Laura who presents Channel 4 show that helps Brits find their dream property abroad, still loves to go away to the tropics or spend time in the Mediterranean.

But she also still travels all over the UK, recently spending time in Padstow for a staycation.

She also stayed in the West Sussex countryside at a rustic retreat with an outdoor campfire and barbecue.

Laura she credits her parents for “instilling independence” in her, especially as she took off to Portugal for her first solo holiday the day after her GCSE results when she was 16 years old.

And as a parent to two children, Rocco and Tahlia, Laura says that she has a new appreciation for her mum and dad letting her go on her own.

She added: “It’s hard as a parent when you realise your kids are growing up and they want to go explore.

“I don’t have any shadow of a doubt my kids are going to be like that. They’ve grown up exploring and travelling with me since they were three weeks old.”

Her kids have also enjoyed a UK break or two. Laura said: “We’ve done all sorts of holiday from motorhome, caravan and glamping sites – they love it.

“I think they like going for the same reason that I did, the sense of freedom and adventure.”

Travel presenter Laura is also embarking on a new project of her own. She’s collating all of her travel stories and tips on her podcast ‘Mile Fly Club’ which is about to return for a second series.

Interviewing celebrity guests like Bradley Walsh, Andrea McLean and Jeff Brazier, Laura will talk about their lives through travel, from their favourite destinations all the way to conspiracy theories.

Brand new episodes of A Place in the Sun broadcast weekdays at 6pm on Channel 4.

Jack O’Connor in dramatic U-turn as he recalls Kerry ace after high-profile dropping at outset of 2024

JACK O’Connor is reportedly set to draft Micheal Burns back into his Kerry panel in a dramatic U-turn from this time last year.

Back in Feburary 2024 the Kingdom boss announced that Burns had opted to walk away over a lack of playing time.

Burns had long been a frequent contributor for Kerry prior to last year

However, in a November interview on the Smaller Fish GAA podcast, the Dr Crokes forward clarified that he was ‘more told I wasn’t wanted’ while about to hop into his car on the way to training.

Burns responded to his brutal dropping in the best manner possible as he was in inspired form as his club stormed to the Munster championship title.

Crokes selector Denis Coleman hailed the 29-year-old in the lead-up to their final triumph over Loughmore-Castleiney for channelling his frustration brilliantly.

Coleman told SunSport: “When things with Kerry came to an end, Micheal was straight back to us with an attitude of, ‘I’m back with my own crowd here now and I’m going to give it 100 per cent’.

“He played right through the league with us and he was a real leader on and off the field.

“He brought so much to it, whereas some fellas might start moping because they’re no longer involved at that level.

“His attitude was completely different. He came back in and couldn’t get enough football. He was delighted to be with the group.

“He had been with Kerry for quite a number of years so it wouldn’t have been normal for him to be with us at that time of the year.

“But we were more than happy to have him and he’s been a huge asset to us all the way through.”

Burns himself spoke after that sweet success about just how much a ninth provincial crown meant to everyone connected with the club.

The 2022 All-Ireland winner with Kerry beamed: “These days don’t come around often and you have to cherish them.

“You can see what it means to people out here on the pitch. A brilliant day for the club.

“We haven’t been here in a while and it’s just a great feeling now leading into Christmas with something to look forward to afterwards.”

TAKING KERR

According to The Kerryman, he is now among a quartet called up by O’Connor as Kerry prepare to make their bow in Division 1 of the Allianz League.

Mark O’Shea, Evan Looney and Charlie Keating are the other three named in the piece.

The All-Ireland contenders’ re-fixed opening clash with Donegal will be played on Saturday, February 8 at Fitzgerald Stadium at 2.30pm.

Last Sunday’s round 1 showdown was one of five league fixtures called off across both codes due as a result of storm Éowyn.

Leitrim’s cancelled Division 3 clash with Laois and Wicklow’s Division 4 showdown with Waterford will also be played on February 8 in Ballinamore and Aughrim respectively with 2.30 starts.

Mayo’s NHL Division 3 game against Cavan will be played on Saturday February 15 at 1.30, and Westmeath’s Division 2 hurling derby against Laois will be on Sunday February 16 at 2.30.

‘Sado-masochistic’ couple who sent depraved texts before murdering woman & scattering her severed remains are jailed

A “SADO-masochistic” couple who sent depraved texts before they murdered a woman and scattered her remains have been jailed.

Sarah Mayhew’s severed body parts were discovered in Rowdown Fields, Croydon, last year – sparking a gruesome murder probe.

Her “limbless torso” was then pulled from the River Wandle by contractors carrying out cleaning work weeks later.

Steve Sansom, 45, and his girlfriend Gemma Watts, 49, were today jailed after pleading guilty to murder and perverting the course of justice.

Sansom was handed a rare whole life tariff – meaning he will never be released from prison.

While Watts was jailed for life with a minimum term of 30 years.

It is a second life sentence for Sansom, who was previously convicted and jailed for murder in 1999.

The monster stabbed popular cab driver Terrence Boyle, 59, in the throat and back before escaping with just £25 on Christmas Eve 1998.

He was released from jail in December 2019 after his case was considered by the Parole Board.

The double killer was under probation supervision at the time of Sarah’s murder.

A court heard the couple’s relationship was “characterised by sado-masochistic violence” that was so intense they “often referred to dying together if caught”.

They would send each other “depraved” messages about their macabre desire to kill victims while “involved in sexual activity” with them.

The couple then discussed having sex while covered in their victim’s blood and eating human flesh.

On September 7, 2023, Watts messaged Sansom saying: “I am writing this of my own free will.

“Should any serious injury, or even death occur whilst I am with Steven Sansom let it be made fully understood that I enter the act of violent, dangerous sex games with Steven Samson of my own free will.”

Four days later, Sansom said in a voice note: “Everything looks like meat now don’t they? A plaything, something to cut, something to bleed, they all look different now.”

Watts replied: “Wonder what they taste like, cooked flesh, maybe even rare so blood drips down our faces.”

They also had a “kinky” sexual relationship and shared texts about bestiality, humiliation and causing hurt.

Prosecutor Tom Little KC said: “Given what was subsequently to happen to Sarah Mayhew this murderous, sexual and sadistic discussion was manifestly not an idle fantasy.”

On March 8 last year, Sarah was last seen heading to Sansom’s home after meeting him on a dating site years previously.

She was tragically never seen again after Sansom and Watts slaughtered her that night.

The depraved couple then used power tools to chop up Sarah’s body after Sansom purchased a 300mm hacksaw, a 300mm blade and 14-litre bucket.

After cleaning up evidence of their gruesome crime, he left a chilling voice note claiming the pair had “done the world a service”.

He also posted on his Facebook, which had the username “Red Rum” – murder spelt backwards – two days later.

Sansom wrote: “Best friends are those who don’t say anything when you show up at their door with a dead body.

“They just grab a shovel and follow you.”

Sarah’s head, arms and legs were found in the park when a dog walking in the fields returned to its owner carrying a human bone.

Then, on May 21, further body parts were discovered in Mitcham.

The court heard Sarah’s head had been shaved and she had bruising on her skull.

DNA tests carried out on blood traces in a bucket, in the kitchen and the lounge floor and walls at Samson’s flat showed they belonged to Sarah.

Her bloodstains were also found in the bedroom and bathroom sink.

In a victim impact statement Sarah was remembered by her mum Angela as a “beautiful, pretty girl”.

While her dad David thanked Sansom and Watts for pleading guilty and saving his grieving family from the ordeal of sitting through a trial of this “horrendous case”.

He added: “That said whatever sentence you may receive will never compare to the pain you have caused us.

“I ask myself the same question all the time, why did you have to kill her maybe I will never know.”

The Ministry of Justice has confirmed a serious further offence review is under way due to Sansom’s release from jail.

Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe earlier said: “My thoughts are with Sarah’s family as they deal with this heartbreaking news.

“No family should have to lose a loved one in such tragic circumstances, and we will continue to provide our support as our investigation progresses.”

Showing off her sensational figure, Bianca, 30, rocked a see-through white one-piece as she stood beside the rapper, 47.

Bianca wore her brunette locks tied up into a bun at the back of her head, with the stunning model rocking some large sunglasses.

From a distance, the YEEZY architect looked almost naked, with the one-piece clinging to every inch and curve of her toned body.

The jumpsuit that Bianca donned was a gray colour and in the style of a roll-neck.

Bianca’s body was completely covered up from her neck to her wrists, all the way down to her feet.

She rocked a pair of heeled pumps with the skintight onesie, with her underwear on full display.

The snaps of the couple have since been shared in various Reddit threads, with one of the Redditors writing alongside the photos: “Ye and Bianca seen at the airport (allegedly going to the states).”

“He’s coming back to the US to drop the album and do a listening party,” speculated another.

“If he really is coming back to the US, I think we’re getting a listening party,” added a third in a different sub-Reddit.

SPECULATION FOR ‘US RETURN’

They went on: “I’m not sure when, but I think that if Ye is really coming back to LA, we’re going to get a listening party at some point in the next month or two during the rollout.

“I still think the album probably drops in the next couple of months, with a listening party in there somewhere. Maybe in Chicago, LA, or New York, something like that.

“I remember Ye Streams on twitter saying he heard from a source that there were possible events planned in LA and New York a few months ago I think. Idk how reliable that source was but shoutout Ye Streams.”

While someone else commented: “He’s there for the Grammys,” to which another fan of the rapper said: “I honestly can’t picture him going but I think it’s possible he pulls up.”

KANYE AND BIANCA’S LOVE STORY

Kanye and Bianca have been married since December 2022.

Bianca Censori and Kanye West's relationship

Bianca Censori was born on January 5, 1995, in Melbourne, Australia

Before her current full-time job, the 29-year-old started a jewelry company called Nylons after leaving high school.

After working as a student architect for three years, she completed a master’s degree between 2019 and 2020 ahead of moving to Los Angeles.

In a radio interview, a childhood friend of Bianca’s claimed that Kanye slid into her DMs on Instagram.

The rapper reportedly said, “Come and work for me.”

At which point she says the designer moved to LA to join his company Yeezy as the “head of architecture” – and has been since November 2020.

WEDDING BELLS

On Friday, October 6, 2023, The Daily Mail reported Kanye and Bianca wed on December 20, 2022.

The couple tied the knot under a “confidential marriage license” in the state of California.

The two wed in Palo Alto, California, according to the document.

The wedding came just one month after Kanye and Kim Kardashian finalized their divorce.

The pair got hitched mere weeks after the rapper’s divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian was finalized.

Ye and Bianca often turn heads with their racy and NSFW displays, with the Aussie model often rocking next to nothing when stepping out with her man.

The couple have recently been traveling around the world, with them having spent a lot of time in Tokyo.

While the pair have been in Japan, they have frequently been spotted enjoying meals out together and packing on the PDA.

Kanye and Bianca have recently been seen at Starbucks, McDonalds and a 7-Eleven.

I’m fighting a one-eyed opponent at UFC Saudi Arabia, but I’m not at an advatange, says Michael ‘Venom’ Page

MICHAEL ‘VENOM’ PAGE has an advantage over almost all of his opponents when it comes to striking.

But he’s insists he won’t have an additional one when he faces Sharabutdin Magomedov this weekend – despite his UFC Saudi Arabia opponent only having ONE EYE.

MVP insists Magomedov’s visual impairment doesn’t put him at an advantage[/caption]

The pair collide in an eagerly-anticipated middleweight showdown in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 250 at the Kingdom Arena on Saturday night.

Magomedov has captivated MMA fans around the world with his incredible performances inside the cage, most of which have been turned in since he lost vision in his right eye.

Many believe the Dagestani’s visual impairment puts him at an incredible disadvantage, but not Page, who told SunSport: “I personally would say no [I’m not at an advantage].

“And the only reason I’m gonna say no is because this man’s 15-0.

“This guy hasn’t been getting hit with stuff.

“I know how amazing human beings can be with what we class as maybe a disability.

“But we’ve had guys with one arm before fight exceptionally [well].

“We’ve got guys with one leg. If we put our mind to anything, we can do anything we want.

“There’s no such thing as a real disadvantage because our body; we just adapt.

“The fact that he hasn’t been caught means that one eye is good enough.

“So I don’t, I don’t see that as an advantage, but I do see me just being me as an advantage.

“So I just need to go in there and make sure I’m the best me on that day.

“And as talented as he is, he’s he’s not gonna overcome this.”

The undefeated Magomedov is somewhat of the black sheep of Dagestani fighters, with his striking being his most dominant skillset.

Page is a fan of the 30-year-old kickboxer’s handiwork, saying: “He’s got unique angles because he likes to throw from different body positions.

“Like whipping his hooks over after his kicks, quite rapidly as well.

“And you can tell he’s got heavy hands. So there’s a lot about him [I like] and he’s willing to try stuff.

“The double back fist, [he was] willing to try it. It was an exceptional, KO.

“But you have to be willing to put yourself in unfamiliar territory, which shows his bravery and shows how confident he is in his abilities.”

Saturday’s Saudi showdown with Magomedov will mark Page’s first-ever foray to middleweight.

The move up to 185lbs and the potential interesting match-ups in the stacked division, however, aren’t distracting Page from his primary goal.

The 37-year-old said: “If there are good fights to be had at middleweight, I’ll take them. But my goal is the welterweight belt.

“Middleweight doesn’t really do anything for me unless it’s an exciting fight.

“So if it’s a good fight, [the] UFC likes it, I like it and fans like it, I’ll do it.

“But the goal is to still progress and go and get that title at welterweight.”

A spectacular win over new favourite Magomedov, however, will well and truly put Page in the mix at 185lbs.

“I feel like I’m definitely coming to make him walk the plank,” Page said of ‘The Pirate’. “[And] make him suffer the first defeat of his career.

“But in a way that I don’t think he ever would have seen it coming before.

“Becuase like I said, he’s gonna be very confident in his striking ability.

“But he’s not gonna understand what I bring to the table.

“He’s not gonna understand my angles, my speed, my precision in my punches and my kicks – he’s not gonna understand it.

“And gonna be stubborn about changing tactics and that’s when you’re gonna see him fall.”
