Ellen DeGeneres ‘locked in row with neighbours over fence at her £15million UK home as locals say it could cause FLOODS’
ELLEN DeGeneres has become locked in a fierce battle with her heiress neighbour over a fence at her £15million home.
The former chat-show host was accused of creating a flood risk as well as disturbing Roman ruins by the daughter of The Viscount Cowdray.
Ellen, 67, and her wife Portia de Rossi, 52, reportedly made a “technical breach” when they built a single-storey extension to the property.
They moved to their stunning Cotswolds farmhouse in November 2024, upon hearing the news that President Trump would be stepping back into the White House.
Whilst the couple have been enjoying their slice of the English countryside, their nesting has ruffled the feathers of their local parish councillors – including Cllr Rosie Pearson.
Rosie, the youngest of The Viscount’s six children, contacted local planning enforcement officers over fears that Ellen’s building work would “increase flood risk in the village”.
The showbiz couple’s £15million house is also within spitting distance of Roman ruins, which also worried the councillors.
“The onus is on the owner to report any historic remains uncovered,'” records a note from the parish council minutes.
It adds: “Concern was expressed by residents that the hedge and wire fence could increase flood risk in the village’ if rubbish was swept down and ‘caught on the fence’, thereby ‘limiting flow across the field”.
A spokesperson told MailOnline that the Roman ruins are more than 200 yards from Ellen’s property and that the work was “completed to a high standard”.
The former talk-show host ‘quit’ America after President Trump stepped back into power.
She has reportedly said that she is “never going back” to the US.
According to The Wrap, President Trump’s recent election sparked the move, and Ellen‘s $27 million Montecito mansion is quietly on the market.
In 2020, Ellen was accused by former staff and visitors on her talk show of promoting a toxic work environment.
She’s since joked about being “kicked out of show business.”
Ellen recently appeared in a Netflix comedy special, during which she said, “I decided to take up gardening.
“I got chickens. Let me see what else I can tell you about that’s been going on…
“Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business… Yeah, the ‘Be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. That was the headline.”
The comedy show, For Your Approval, was described as the star’s farewell to the industry.
Ellen announced her “final” stand-up tour in May, and has since made the jump to the British countryside, swapping out the high-life for hillsides.
Pub goers were left gobsmacked as they spotted the US star at Jeremy Clarkson’s pub last year.
Clarkson lives in the Cotswolds and is one of the few famous faces rumoured to be living in the highly sought-after region.
Others celebritys said to be living luxuriously in the Cotswold include Kate Moss, Amanda Holden and the Beckhams.
Taylor Swift even rented out a pad there during her phenomenally popular Eras Tour.
The Sun has reached out to Ellen DeGeneres‘ representatives for a comment.
Horror as teenager dies at popular go-kart attraction with centre urgently closed down
A TEENAGER died at a go-karting attraction last night, police have confirmed.
Staffordshire cops and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to TeamSport Go Karting Stoke in Burslem on Friday at around 8.15pm.
A boy was found unresponsive and later died.
The circumstances are not currently clear but police have said the death is “not suspicious”.
Emergency services were alerted at 8.15pm, with officers remaining on the scene at the venue on Waterloo Road until the early hours of Saturday.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to TeamSport Go Karting Stoke following reports of a cardiac arrest.
“Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were already there and found a man in his late teens unresponsive at the scene. Sadly, he was later pronounced dead.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
“Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.”

New mum Megan McKenna quits social media after health diagnosis
NEW mum Megan McKenna has quit social media after her health diagnosis.
The new mum got engaged to her footballer fiancé Oliver Burke in June 2023, and the pair have since welcomed an adorable baby son, Landon.
But this week, the Towie favourite revealed she’s got mastitis, as she updated her legion of followers.
Megan, 32, wrote: “Boob update. I have mastitis but its gone passed that stage and has turned into an abscess.
“I’ve been so ill and out of bed the past two days. They tried to drain it today but it didn’t work so going back Monday to try and drain again.
“For now I’m on strong antibiotics.”
Announcing her temporary departure from social media, the mum-of-one continued: “Let’s hope it clears.
“Will be off socials for a few days as I’m resting and trying to get better. So annoying because I really felt like I was getting my mojo back with mum life and cooking and general plans.
“What can you do ey, Love you all xx.”
It comes after hinted at her next milestone with Oliver, as she told her legion of followers that she “wants to tone” ahead of their wedding.
The cooking fanatic posted a video of herself making some pasta and wrote: “Really need to get food in for Sunday roasts sooner 
wounded that we’re not having one tonight. Left overs it is!!!!!
“Also fyi. To clarify I’m not losing weight I want and need to tone and also I have a pouch belly from my c section scar. So time to get my booty in gear. Can’t wait!”
In the video, she could be heard saying: “I’m trying to be a bit healthy now, because our wedding is coming up.”
Megan said her friend will give her a regime ahead of her wedding as she said: “I know I’m slim but I’m not toned.”
The star also said she doesn’t need to lose weight and wouldn’t do a diet as she grated cheese onto spag bol.
The mum-of-one also spoke about having cellulite and fans praised her honesty, as one wrote: “You are such a breath of fresh air.. more influencers need to take a leaf out of your book.”
Just days before, Megan was forced to slam ‘pathetic’ trolls after she was ridiculed for ‘leaving her baby to sleep alone.’
The TV star scorned her critics and announced that she is refusing to respond to negative comments from fans.
The new mum was trying to encourage her son Landon to go to sleep on his own and has been sharing videos of their progress.
She said that she wanted him to sleep independently so she could be more productive during the day.
“He needs to be able to go down on his own for a nap, I need to be able to do some things during the day,” she told fans.
After lots of crying, her little one eventually went to sleep – with Megan excitedly exclaiming how proud she was.
Whilst she was met with sympathetic messages of reassurance, she was also criticised for leaving him to cry.
“How do you just watch him cry? Wanting you? Wanting to hug. If you can’t get things done that’s normal with a baby under 6 months. Get help,” one wrote.
“I’m sorry but this is so sad. Over 1 I get it. But this, this right here. I don’t get why people have kids just to let them cry out at months old,” they added.
A second wrote: “You need to educate yourself about how this affects a babies brain. This is not judgement…this is experience and knowledge talking.”
